Rove vows to 'name names'

Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.
Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.

(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

    Hey Karl,

Your brand of distorted, destructive and mean-spirited politics are now officially dead. How does it feel to be one of the most despised peopled in the United States. Go back to Texas and stay there. Your type of politics have done nothing but bring this country down for the past eight years. You really need to hide your head in shame because history will always paint you as the vengeful, arrogant and terrible person you are. Essentially, you are the devil physically disguised as the quintessential nerdy-looking guy.

I hope you're proud of the mark you left on this great country of ours...

I see there are still a few cry babies from the right on here attacking the intelligent party on the left. We won you lost. Pack an extra large adult diaper for Karl and hit the road you losers.

The great majority of comments here reflect the bankruptcy of the left wing thought process. Clear indications of who are Obambi voters.

When are we going to get down and spill some real stuff.

    I am ready, are you???

I do not get it, "an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief." Is this supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing? Or, is he now trying to say everyone was against him and Bush because they were Texans?

Even after Shrub & Co. have been thoroughly discredited by two disastrous terms in power– two terms from which the country will take decades to recover, if we ever do– there will remain an "irreducible minimum" of True Believers who will continue to parrot that Bush was a "great president." They will be the ones who will buy this smirking toad's book– or at least endlessly repeat selected bits from right-wing websites and "Yell Radio" hosts. No matter how much we long for it, we can't get away from the Neocons and their cons, because they know how to fool and manipulate anyone who is ruled by fear, ignorance and intolerance. Such people are always with us– note the bigots who continue to howl that Obama is really a Muslim, and the idiots who mindlessly repeat the lie. So, we can ridicule Rove and his rewriting of history... but we can't safely write him off or ignore his lies. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance."
Meanwhile, let Rove add my name–Walter James Wentz. Have at it, Karl. Go step on a tetanus-infected nail, and let lockjaw give the rest of us a moment of blessed silence.

While you're at naming names, why not tell us the truth about your role in outing Valerie Plame? You are all over the FOX News entertainment shows, spouting your "wisdom," but refuse to answer for your actions while you were being paid by my tax dollars. Be a man, Turd Blossom, and be proud of your actions while serving the public good. Tell us how you helped the country by this outing. Got the balls to do that?

Was one of them Charlie Rangel? How about William Jefferson. Fine upstanding Democrats all. Lets not forget that the next administration will be brought to you by the same people who think OJ Simpson is innocent and Kwame Kilpatrick was framed.

Rove deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail for his treacherous activities against the American people.

Karl, even though I am not in DC please mention me as one who warned people in 2000 not to vote for Dumbya. You can mention me in your book also as one who thinks Bush should be indicted and tried for treason. Being on your enemies list would be a source of pride for me.

BTW, I think you should be arrested, too.

    G. Graves at 12:33: "Go for it Karl, it's about time someone will standup and point out the insiders who don't care about our country or the people they're supposed to represent, only themselves"

According to that definition, he'll be naming himself and all of his cronies. Please stop with the whole "if you don't like Bush you're not a true American" crap. I thought America was a melting pot, not the Aryan nation.

I hope the publishers and bookstores have their "remainder mark" pens ready – the book will be remaindered and on sale for about three dollars within months of its release. Not that I'd buy it if it were two cents.

Maybe we should all mail our names to him – it would be a shame for him to leave anyone out!

Save the trees. Why not just put together a pamphlet listing the people who have confidence in G.W.

If Mr. Carl Rove is that irrelevant, then why do so many people respond. Equally, people want to know what he says, and will read him accordingly.

Karl Rove is a criminal that should have been prosecuted years ago.

If there is any justice in the world, he will come back for another life as a dung beatle.

It is time someone laid this out. An objective analysis of the legislative branch (read democrats) will indicate activity that borders on treason...all in moves to regain power at the expense of our nation.

Ohhh it all makes sense now!
