Rove vows to 'name names'

Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.
Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.

(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

@Anthony: You are the epitome of a neo-dimwit. It looks like the rightwing's inability to take responsibility for their own miscues and failures is a genetic disorder which doesn't allow your ego, personality and reasoning ability to mature beyond that of a 9-year old. Its: Clinton's fault, the media's fault, the hurricane's fault, the terrorists' fault,.......always somebody else's fault. It must be nice to live in such a fairytale world, detached from reality, never needing to take any personal responsibility. Nice for you, Rove, and Bush......but not so nice for the rest of us that are now left to clean up YOUR mess.

You and your ilk have the same chickens–t personalty as your leader who, as a younger man, went around vigorously promoting the Vietnam war within the safe confines of his college campus, and then upon graduation ran and hid from stepping up and contributing to the war effort he so gleefully promoted to others. It takes a pathetically delusional person and political party to elect that type of disgraceful behavior into the presidency.

Maybe people never accepted Bush as the legitimate president because he wasn't. He was only president thanks to the Supreme Court stopping the counting of votes in Florida.

The first name on Rove's list who did not accept Bush as a legitimate president is VICE PRESIDENT CHENEY! Am I right Karl?!!

The country would have been better off if NO ONE had accepted GWB as commander-in-chief. Karl's list is going to be awfully long.

America to the "Brain": Get out of Washington and never come back.

Carl Rove is the scum of the earth. He exemplifies everything that is evil and wrong with politics today. It would be lovely if he would promptly go away after January, but I'm sure there will be plenty of media outlets for him to sponge money out of.

Two words describe this man: Rove Politics. They didn't name the dirty style of campaigning after him for nothing. Even during the McCain campaign's darker hours, they were accused of resorting to "Rove politics".

Karl Rove is Joe McCarthy incarnate. He, Bush,Cheney, David Addington, John Yoo and every member of their lying, theiving administration should be in prison for the rest of their worthless lives for treason.

Hmmm...sounds like an "enemies list" to me. I wonder which other President had such a list...Nixon? Karl, does Richard Nixon ring a bell?

Contrast Rove's behavior with Obama's toward Lieberman and Hilary Clinton. We'll all be so glad when January 20, 2009 finally arrives!

Sorry, Rove, the reason a LOT of people didn't accept him as President was that he really didn't win the election in 2000, and did a crummy job all 8 years since the Supreme Court gave him the election. He's been one of the worst in our history. And the fact that you are "naming names" just is sour grapes on your part because your attempt to get McCain elected using the same tactics didn't work this time. You are the "man behind the curtain" and just like the Wizard of Oz, you are not mighty and powerful, but just a two-bit hussler that took advantage of the people of this land with your slight of hand and king-building. Go home, shut up, and give us all a break!

Another example of CNN's fawning sycophancy to the far right extremists.

CNN doesn't have the gonads to tell their money-masters that they, CNN, are going to start reporting responsibly on people like Rove, because its the right thing to do.

In 2 years or less…. We will have experienced the un-experienced running the country in President Barrak "Delona-Hussein" "Obama-Clinton". His ideas are from the past, using a staff of old Clinton administration folks. All Washington establishment all……. By the way. 9/11 happened after 9 months of President Bush's presidency (and 8 years of Clinton being in control with no idea what was beyond "I did not have sex with that woman….. BUT after 7.3/4 years of President Bush there has be NO attacked on US soil. Thank you !!! President Bush…
