Rove vows to 'name names'

Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.
Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.

(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

Forget the folks in Washington, Carl. There were millions and millions of us ordinary folks who never accepted Bush as the legitimate president and commander-in-chief. You guys did, after all, steal two elections. And what are you talking about being resented because the Bush administration were not Washington insiders? Most of the administration were in the Reagan and Bush 1 administrations. Guess your tell-all is going to be an exercise in revisionism.

Now sour grapes! Time to write a book now and make some more money. I, for one, won't read it. It's is time for a change for our country and to really care about the "little people".

Someone mentioned Obama. Obama is not going to be a perfect Prez. He's human and he has his flaws, but from watching all his moves for two years, I have come to the conclusion that he's definitely not going to be a MISSING IN ACTION President. So whether he's right or wrong or mentally in-between, we will not be ignored.

He should be fearful of those who are cutting book deals warning they are going to name names. Perhaps the name Karl Rove is in the top three of the most disliked in America, preceded by President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

I can't believe all the liberal losers are still whining that Bush stole the 2000 election. The one and only reason that Bush won in 2000 is because Gore couldn't even come close to carrying his own home state (We know Gore best ). I am willing to bet that the majority of Rove's book sales will be to brain dead liberals, the same one's who spend every waking hour listening to conservative talk radio and Fox News so that they can whine about every litthle thing that is said there.

    Billy J,

Karl Rove does not have a daughter, so I'm not sure how she could ask him not to come home for Thanksgiving. He has ONE son.

I like the comment by Rocky which sums it all up. Seems to me the guys he would name are EXTREMELY smart.

I have never seen such an out of touch administration, and the rub is these idiots actually believe their own material. Name names? Didn't accept him as Commander In Chief? War...Economy....Katrina...Buddies like Ken Lay and Tom Delay who is a good ol Texan....that's why Texas is slowly becoming a Democratic state...the rest of the Windshield cowboys are holdin on to the East Texas...my daddy was a Republican...blah...blah...blah...Pres. Cheney and Vice Bush and the GANG straight up hi-jacked our country based on hi jackings! Talk about an Epiphany......

Karl should put his own name at the very top of the list....he probably did more to mislead Bush into several stupid decisions thatn anyone else. From pushing out several military leaders that advised against a stupid military strategy in Iraq...rather than a smart stike in Afghanistan....to allowing Colin Powell to resign ......

Rove is a bottom feeder and his 15 minutes of fame have been exhausted. He has been part of a nasty political machine that has helped run this country up on the rocks. It will take years to repair the damage they have done to our prestige around the world...and to rebuild the financial ruin facing many in this country.

The best thing he could do would be to slither back into the weeds he came out of...

You people are pathetic. You are so full of hate that you can't even think straight. I'm waiting with bated breath to see what the next four years will look like. So far, I've heard: "It might not look like we're doing the right thing." and "The economy is going to get a lot worse before it gets better." It appears that we are expected to dismiss possible upcoming failures simply because we were warned!?!? Beware what you wish for, you hate mongers; you might just get it.

It would seem to me Karl Rove should have done a better job of vetting the candidate he decided to foist upon the American people. I recently, again, saw the Frontline documentary on the late Lee Atwater and his tactics that put George H. Bush in the White House in 1988. Gee, he had died from a brain tumor before re-election, thankfully, and they say there isn't justice in this world. Karl Rove was Lee Atwater's deciple and followed the same path with his candidate first, with the late Anne Richards, former governor of Texas and then against John McCain in 2000, and the debacle of this George W. Bush's re-election in 2004. Please, hasn't the country had enough of such trash politics, and Kark Rose ought to be man enough to take the punches on the chin. After all, Lee Atwater created him and his bully tactics. Time to pay the Piper, Karl, and bring on all those names – you hardly think you have any credibility left, do you?

Maybe he should name his names under oath in front of a congressional committee–you know, the ones he keeps refusing to talk to....

Simon & Schuster shouldn't have given Rove the means to profit off of this administration in any way, shape, or form.

He should be jailed but thats justice in America for ya!

People like Rove would rather see us scratch each others eyes out over partisan b.s. than see Americans succeed as a whole.

He needs to be tried for the crimes he's orchestrated.

Left wing liberals make know sense what so ever. How does it feel to know that Obama is going back on most of the issues he ran on. And kept a Bush Cabinet member for his own and basically admitted that he is weak on foreign policy. By putting Clinton in his cabinet and keeping Gates, he admits he is very weak on foreign policy. You guys should notice that there are no left wing liberals on his cabinet. So stay off Roves back. " Don't hate the player, hate the game."

Go ahead, rove-baby – let those names roll! Just remember that the GOP spent/wasted the Clinton years trying to get him on something or anything .... $4,000,000 on Whitewater and Ken Starr – taking the mind of the country off government, off the failures of the GOP – which set the stage for 911 – 'cause the GOP & Bush wouldn't listen or learn from anything that had gone on before ...

Bush as President? Don't you mean Cheney as the puppet-master?
