Rove vows to 'name names'

Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.
Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.

(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

Remember America don't like you Karl. So it will not matter whatever you say in your book. I advice that no one buys the so called "book". It will be wriiten by Karl Rove. And I repeat by Karl Rove. Do not trust him. My family and I do not trust him and will not go near him.

    to Nathan Johnson,
yes they will buy his book because Rush will be quoting what's written there as fact. we need to know his talking points in order to refute them. This is far from over. GWB, Rove, Cheney they'll be trying to spin that administration untill they're all dead. We need to keep the truth alive.

Rove should be grateful he isn't "NAMED" in a fraud indictment. He's responsible for the greatest con in history against the American people. Namely, the packaging and selling of an idiot named "W".

I wonder why a publisher would pay for his political propaganda. Couldn't have gotten Himmler, or Gobbels or some swine instead? It just seems they pay for the garbagemen in or out of government, and not those that actually are better possessive of trash. Well I need not buy his book, better left in a portable outhouse and used under hand.

    Dear Karl,

NO ONE CARES. BTW, is this the same book you were auctioning? The one NO ONE wanted to buy? 1.5 million seems to be a bit much for a steaming heap of...well, I think we all know what. Best of luck cowpie :)

You can add me to the list of names of people questioning the legitimacy of the presidents election in 2000.

Karl Rove might want to list any number of people from the almost 5,000 families that have lost loved ones in the failed political policy that brought about a failed military strategy in Iraq. Those families will one day learn the truth about the Bush administration...that it manufactured information to alarm the US public on WMD's and sent kids to their deaths. When that is finally understood....I don't think there will be many places he can hide....

Please! Name names. Wish I could be on the list. The list would be too long to publish. How many of us thought George Bush was gonna make an aweful president? How many wondered if the country couled SURVIVE 2 terms of his ineptitude? And now? While we're relieved to have new leadership, how many wonder if the hole created by "W" and Rove and the "leadership" can be filled even by an intellectual and all the smart people he can bring to bear. Please, name names so we can know whom to celebrate.

What a crock/crook. The reason they may not have been "accepted" in Washington would be due to the lack of intelligence of Rove, Bush and croonies. Yes, Cheney too. Take the whole lot of them and divide them and put them into one of two columns, crock or crook. Now Rove naming names could be a double whammy a crock and a crook.

Good thing for Rove that someone wants to read his crappy version. It may be his last income for some time. Of course his buddy may let him live in the spare rtoom in his new mansion down home!

Being named in Rove's book as one who pushed back against this corrupt administration would be seen as the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in my family.

No, its not because Armitage is "sainted" or a consumate DC insider. Its because Rove is a slimey facist at heart.

I hope he does name those who looked at W as commander and chief and rolled their eyes...so I can support these individuals of keen insight in the future.

And...this is coming from a 30 year Republican.

I wonder if he will name himself as the biggest jerk from Texas. He's an idiot like Bush! Who cares or believes these lying, manipulative fear mongers anyways! Thank god it's over! Rove needs to shut up and find a hole to hide in for the rest of his life!

Libs are so simple minded...life for them is so easy and convienant , just blame Bush.... Most people who voted for Obama Cant give one real concrete reason the why they voted for him, other than maybe they hate republicans or Bush. It's not as if Obama has this great proven track record, and its going to be awesome laughing at all the knubskulls who believed his or any other politcal promises!!!

Mr Rove just trying to justify Bush's (and thus his own) poor ratings, what is in fact an american populace dislike of Bush, not just a few people on the hill. This guy's a narcissist through and through, can see no fault with himself, just with everyone else.

Of course Rove is going to jump up and down and blame EVERYONE else. If it comes to it, he will through George W. under the bus before admitting to his own faults. It's NOT that you are not an insider, it's that that you're EVIL, Karl! You are another Lee Atwater and hopeful for you, you will not have to face death (as Lee did with cancer) to see and admit that's the problem is YOU.

And it may not be that Karl even cares. He may just be spouting off as way to sell books Annie style – the blonde who says the most outrageous things whenever she has a now book for sell.

    Hmmm, "Karl" . . . with a K. That's so 40's Germany, isn't it?
