Rove vows to 'name names'

Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.
Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.

(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

Obviously there was a lot of opposition to Bush being president. This man was never qualified to be president (I wouldn't trust him running a gas station!) so I'm completely not suprised to learn that Bush and his administration we not recieved well in Washington. Rove naming names will only show how much people really were not comfortable with this guy and it still shocks me that the American people voted this obviously incompetent President not once but twice! Let Bush, Rove, and all their counterparts say what they want, but the fact remains. George Bush was a complete disaster.

This country and its citizens should boycott and not buy this book as it rewards one of the meanest, most cowardly individuals to ever enter the American polical scene.

Don't buy the book and let the publisher eat the losses. That way they will stop publishing "tell all" books from ex-Washington insiders.

I can't help but wonder if Rove actually believes his own garbage. I think the only reason this dirtbag hasn't been brought up on charges is because where this side of Hell would they find a jury of his peers.

He would be better off saving paper and ink by naming the 4 people that like him. Come on!! It's cheaper. We are in a recession, right Rove?

What is interesting about Rove is now you are seeing first hand what drove the Bush meanness and paranoia ... and unbelievable insecurity of non-acceptance by the establishment ... us against them in its worst form. This resulted in regressive decisions that have set this country back years in economic, diplomatic and humanistic terms.
Of course, no one will actually care what Karl has to say as it is always tainted with 'spin' of the most vile kind. You reap what you sow and their time has come. The shame is we all have to pay the price.

I am truly stunned at the defense of the last eight years that the conned-servatives are offering up. It is literally a litany of talking points, straw-man agruments, half-truths, and innuendo to collective stick their heads in the sand as to what really happened, while creating an alternative reality that boils down to three basic arguments regarding all "bad" things
    1) it was Bill Clinton's fault
    2) it was the 1-term Democratic congress' fault
    3) (this is my favorite).. the DEMOCRATS did it TOO argument.
(as if that gives them cover up for screwing up NOW)... SIGH..

Well surprise Karl, could it be that they never accepted him because he was never elected the 1st time around but, had to be appointed by the Supreme Court judges appointed to their jobs by senior Bush.

Name those names because we should give them medals of courage.

Left wing fools Bambi? How much Kool-Aid have you been drinking from the GOP tap? It is abundantly clear that things have tumbled far down hill in the past 8 years, but I know you want to blame that on Clinton who left office at the turn of the Millennium (with a surplus, great economy and America still liked around the world I might add). Bush has acted like the international brat who threw a temper tantrum that called countries names like “Axis of Evil” and hollered “bring ‘em on” like daddies little cowboy. We invaded a country that did not attack us like a kid throwing his crayons at other kids because they were “bad”. He also allowed tortures and insults to other country’s intelligent abstinence from our foolish endeavors (remember freedom fries). We have moved away from the principles of America’s foundation and have become a house for daddies little spoiled child and it has brought us international scorn and less security (thus the international celebration when Obama won). God bless the day he leaves office in January.

I guess everyone forgot that "W" dad called to ask Dear ole slimeball to take his son under his wing and teach him how to win election.. To start the slime rolling it was the Gov. race in Texas, when they slimed Ann Richards name into the ground to win the govenors race. Then to be relected by telling all that he wouldn't run for Prez. While Slimeball introduced "Boy George" to the Missouri Republicans in 1998 as the next POTUS, They all said "Who is this emply suit" Don't look now but Karl the slime ball has completely crashed this country. His "Hero" was mr. Deregulation himself Ronnie and the shinning house on the hill with out rules and only free traders.

Just watch Mel Martinzes drops his bid for reelection to make way for "Good GUY Jeb " to smooth over the past history of Geogie Boy disaster of 8 years of brain dead administration that this free trade was supposed to make America stronger/
