Even after the election, I am included in his out reach. I receive about 2 emails per week informing me of the progress of the transition team, listing the issues are that are being discussed and showing me how decisons will be made. Then he invites me to comment, make suggestions, and stay involved. My emails are always answered.

Talk about change. We have never had a President who was so organised. He actively seeks ideas and participation in forming policies and making decisions; from the- "everyday Joe"- even after the election. I am so proud of him and our democracy. I am excited to be encluded and to be valued in his Presidency; just as I was in his campaign.

I was disappointed in his involvement in the window plant closing incident in Chicago. As a leader he should provide direction at the national and international level, not selecting individual business situations to become a "friend" of the people.

I found it hypocritical that he would expect the failing business to honor contracts with the employees, yet expect other failing businesses to not honor contracts with management. Are not management employees also?

Odds are a number of you will disagree with me with the cry of "greedy management" and "overly generous bonuses", yet the principle is the same.

We all need a President who will consistently lead in a proactive manner, rather than setting policy in a reactive manner. We all need a President who will inspire each of us to do the right thing, while each of us is also being held accountable for our own actions.

American Policy will get a "U " turn during the rule of Obama. Not only Americans, but all the people in other countries too expect a CHANGE in American foreign policy!

I've heard several nice comments about Michelle. Maybe it's just the type of people you hang around with.

Are you kidding me? He has inherited a crisis, not a country that is stable. His every moved will be ridiculed, because the "bar" is set so HIGH. Get real.

On that note, yes, that is much why Obama is getting such incredible ratings. It's hard for this country NOT to be jubilent that the worse thing to ever happen to america is about to leave the white house!

No, we aren't. In fact, I don't think there is any way Obama could be doing a better job!

Wynter- Just because the election hadn't been called in 2000 doesn't mean Bush couldn't have been vetting and trying to organize a cabinet given the chance that he was elected.

And this economic downturn started long before a democratic majority in congress.

My one concern is that expectations for him may be way too high, not that I doubt he can live up to them, but I do believe in leaving some room for the adversities that will be faced later.

Liberals are only open minded if you agree and think like them otherwise, you are labeled and you know that.

I see him more than the current administration(not complaining), talking about the economy and where he stands with those poor plant workers who deserve what is owed to them... Has Bush comment on that, of course not, he's too busy picking out drapes for his new house.

So what if Obama administration consist of Clinton people. As long as the job gets done and as I recall our economy was great during the Clinton administration.

So far he's done a great job giving everybody a stake and a seat at his table. Even my republican relatives love the guy. They've lost half their retirement under bush.

I would trade our prime minister in Canada for Barack Obama in a heartbeat.

The President-Elect has kept quiet on every major issue that has arisen since his election, constantly stating that we "only have one President at a time"...to the point that Democrats have openly criticized his silence. Even though I'm more than ready for President Bush to leave, I agree with Obama's point of view on this but it does not mean I'd give a positive or negative approval rating for doing nothing.

The people on these boards who continue to defend Bush and his administration are beyond hope. They truly don't have any idea how INeffective he has been as our leader. It's sad but they continue to spew hateful and ignorant comments. Thank God more people realized how stupid Bush has been and elected a smart, educated, sincere person as our next president. He has one hell of a job ahead of him thanks to the mess Bush and his cronies have made and I just hope the right wingers give him a chance before they bash him to death. This mess isn't going to be fixed overnight. There's just too much to do.

I will soon be asking people for CHANGE on the streets.

Everyone gripes about all the Bush staff....how about the lame "former-Clinton" staffers.....seems like our new President believes Change is bringing back the same losers that were pushing the buttons for the Dems.

I hope Obama gets something done......but so far nothing but hot air....not that hot air is not business as normal in DC.

Let's just sit back, relax and let things get better...or just be slick, that worked for Bill, LOL!!

The whole world now prays that Obama will have what it takes to excel in his presidency...for it will take nothing short of excellence to get the world out of this mes..
