I guess I'm suppose to know if this person is a Democrat or a Republican ... but I don't. Gee CNN, just a little bit of thoroughness in your work would be appreciated.

We have stood and watch with surprise the way president elect Barack has been selecting his cabinet position without any black man, not even one person. yes very few African American but no black is very very unfortunate.

GOP whiners should be rejoicing...the dude wears a cowboy hat and bola...he can't be all bad! CNN, you're gonna have to get some pics of his cowboy boots, so they can truly rest easy that he isn't to be feared and denegrated.

    @ ule

Please, worry more about the content of the people he appoints than the color of the container. One would have hoped that this was the lesson we proved we'd learned.

Stop worrying about race or gendor in Obama's selection. If you are qualified step up to the plate with your resume, until then shut up.

I am confused with comment of African American being nominated and no black man what does that mean?

Ule- allow me to let you in on something, in this country (since you obviously do not know what you are talking about). Negro, Colored, Afro-American, African-American etc all mean the same thing. People of ANY sort of African descent , no matter whether a first generation African or the descendents of slaves. The description has changed in this country every decade or two, BUT IT ALL MEANS THE SAME THING.Please elaborate on what you are trying to convey??

I live in CO and Senator Ken Salazar has done a fantasic job of representing our state. I'm going to miss him but Obama made a brilliant choice. I wish only the best for Senator Salazar on his new cabinet post as the new secretary of the interior.

    @ Ule,

I think Obama is probably one of the smartest politician in a long long long time. I am sure the republicans were expecting him to select disproportionately African Americans to his cabinet. Then they would have accused him of picking people based on race. He is only selected the best of the best. He is putting together the smartest government in American history. He is making the republicans feel small and jealous. I am sure the African American community understands his strategy naturally.

    Nice,
I see diversity in the new administration. It is not about race or black folks. Actually, black people have been given real role.
Obama is facing real challenges as the first African American.
If he picks too many black people, it will be seen as reverse racism. If he picks less black people it will be seen like he is snaping black people after they elected him...
Lets be Americans. I think so far so good!

Does this mean that someone will take a look at and, finally, end the way drilling rights are given out based on sex and drug parties during "W's tenure?
