When it's all said and done, I think Jessie Jr. is going to end up with Blago's job in a few years.

We have no idea what the Feds have not released to the public and I can bet you if they thought for one second Jessie Jr was doing anything illegal, they would have set him up and taken him down.

The transcripts released are just the tip of the iceberg.

You conservatives keep trying. You have been pretty quite concerning Tom Delay, David Vitter, Larry Craig, Dick Cheney and George Bush. But when it comes to the Illinois governor you think this is the ultimate in corruption. George Bush has destroyed this country. He has militarized the police departments and made it so the national guard can attack their own people. Nothing Blagojevich did will ever compare to what the republicans have done in the last 30 years.

This has been going on every since we have been voting for any official to hold office. So why is everyone so surprise at anything that happens now.

The trouble is with the internet and reports the truths never get told. One person get the story right but by the time it makes it round everything has been twisted up and no one knows who twisted it up. I feel that Jackson did the right thing and there is probably a lot of people did the very same thing. Information is much easier to get told than in the past because of the internet.

Sometimes the news reporter make things worse by keep saying the same thing over and over again. We have a lot of important things to worry about with people losing their jobs, homes and everything. this stuff is not important at all.

All of you people are hilarious. Most of you obviously don't follow Chicago politics - but you sure do like bashing it, don't you?

In Chicago, Blago is old news. We knew this was all going to come down, the only question was WHEN.

That's the million dollar question folks. And it's less about Obama and more about old washington ways and the good ole boys network than you think.

Yes, Chicago politics are corrupt - just like everywhere else. THAT should be the focus....corruption....corruption....corruption....

Poor people unite - WE are the ones being penalized for this - NOT the rich people. The rich and connected people of this country are the problem - that's the real truth.

Nothing against JJ Jr for the time being. But, look .... if you have a Dad who is a shakedown guy and controversial in political circles, do yourself a favor: choose from #1, #2, or #3 below.

1. Pursue a career in something other than politics. If you have lots of skill and can get things done by effort and intelligence, you have no reason to be a politician anyway, unless you are really into "power tripping" or living an easy life.

2. Go into politics if you must, but far, far away from Chicago and Illinois. If you play in that sewer, even wearing a wet suit, you are going to smell an awfully lot like the rest of the sewer dwellers at least at various points.

3. Become a staff type person in government, one that doesn't need to get elected.

Also, Mr. Jackson the Younger, watch the Godfather carefully, focusing on the role of Michael Corleone. You either have to put down the baggage and walk completely away from it, or the baggage will drag you along in directions you might not like,

The USA is in trouble, and if you don't think so, just read the comments on this subject. We have become a nation of negative thinkers. Why don't we just sit back and let this whole situation play out rather than cast doubt and point fingers at everybody. Fitzgerald will bring the truth to light. In the meantime, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything!

Okay let me get this straight. Jesse Junior - reveals that the gov is acting inappropriately and he is being judged. However if he had not said anything he would be labeled as an accomplice to the scandal. Give it a rest folks. Calling him a snitch is weak and irresponsible. You’re the same people who would criticize him if he did not speak up .

Jesse Jackson Jr. did the right thing. Everyone is putting him down because they want something to become of this - something bad to be wrong with Mr. Jackson. Wait until the investigation is over.

You people want corruption to go away but how can it go away unless you unveil the happenings. Yes, he snitched. What did you want him to do - continue to cover.

I am reading these blogs and I am saying to myself - UNBELIEVABLE. When CNN reported that 1 out of 6 people today now have mental problems, they were not lying.

many of you care less about what happens in this country, just trying to pin some party or obama down. maybe if you took that venom and focus on real issues, i.e. the economy and war, hold your on congress folks accountable for that, you and your families may be better served. lets here your opinions in 9 months if you keep reflecting from this economy

We all know now that in Illonio it is establised practice to buy your seat in the senate. Mr. Jackson said in one interview that when Obama was chosen to fight election for illoino Senate seat it was Mr jackson who was being considerd first and then he did a favour to OBAMA and allowed him to become a senator. one should find out how much money Obama paid to buy his senate seat. Mr. Obama has always been cash rich.

Poor GOP'ers. 100% wrong 100% of the time for the last eight years. And now the only guy going down in their beloved scandal is Bloggo, who nobody liked anyway. Come on GOP'ers! Come up with one idea! Just one! Come up with something good and positive that will benefit regular people, and not just the people that got us into this national disaster of a presidency. But no.... All you can do is play in the mud. That's why you're back on the back bench where you belong. Pitiful.

So it took Jr. 4 years to report the request for a bribe...did he tell Obama and Emmanuel about all this since they were part of a steering committee that met to help get Blago elected? Maybe they all knew the type of man they were trying to work for and it didn't bother them??
Jackson Jr. lost all my respect for anything about him when he sat on national TV and as Obama national co-chairman said that voters who were mainly black in an upcoming primary should think long and hard because he hadn't seen Hillary cry for the black victims of Katrina. From then on I can't stand the look of him whenever he appears on TV.

The attempted use of his influence in trying to win the lottery job for his wife is almost as bad as the governor's attempt to extort money from him. This is far from over. You can bet Obama's people are circling the wagons. Blagojevich is probably trying to deal something now in order to keep quiet and go free, or he will open his mouth and implicate others.

Hooray!!!!!!! I really hope this is true. The fact that a politician willingly aided in the investigation of a corrupt politician should be music to the ears of registered voters everywhere in America. I have just one question. Is Rep J. Jackson Jr. aiding in the investigation to simply help uncover corruption in politics, or is the help he is giving the Justice Dept. in return for overlooking some offense of his own? ( I am in no way accusing Rep. Jackson of wrong doing. I am only verbalizing the well earned suspicious nature of the American public for politicians in general. ) If this is true and he is just trying do his civic duty, then he should be officially commended for his efforts in front of both the Senate, the House of Representatives and the White House. Maybe this would stimulate the same behavior from among his peers.

It went something like this: It's come to "our" attention that you're insensitive to the needs/wants/aspirations of Black people. Now give us x amount of dollars and we'll consider you "cured." Otherwise there will be some measures taken....

Really ? Why is Mr Jackson so anxious to prove his innocent ? If we believe Blagojevich's word that Omaba has nothing to do with his mess, then why can't I also believe Blagojevich's word that Candidate #5 want to offer half a million for the Senate seat ? Looks like Democrate want to pick and choose what suit them ...

Isn't amazing how people seem to suddenly remember stuff when their memory is jogged by criminal acts. Why didn't he inform the authorties abck in 2002 and 2003 when it happened? If it wasn't important then, why now?

Politics ---- it ain't over till its over! - One problem is the news media spills the beans before facts are laid out....that is the nature of the business.....that justifies their jobs. However, manic reporting and opinions are just that....the truth will come out -- be patient....how many times does this stuff have to happen before we get it ----?? -- we are being played.

What ever happened to the presumption of innocent?!
Why are people so anxious to accuse Mr. Jackson?
Maybe this man-hunt let's them forget the financial troubles? the war?
the destruction of our air and water?
What a curious eruption of "surprise".......what's new?

Jesse Jackson Jr. I believe is on the up and up. Unfortunately because he shares a name with his despicable father, folks have a hard time believing it. And yes we are just now hearing about it....uh..that's what being an INFORMANT means. It means that people don't KNOW that you are doing it!

Jack: You have trouble reading.

Directly from the story:

" ... and has informed on the embattled governor of Illinois, though not in the case currently under investigation, Jackson spokesman Kenneth Edmonds told CNN Tuesday. ..."

The story goes on to cite a case where Jackson says he told on the governor.

Now, whether simply reporting a single time that someone did something wrong qualifies as being an "informant" -- there's a question for debate.

Why did It take three years to come forward, and only after his memory was jogged ?? If someone tried to "shake me down" for $25,000.00 I would remember it,wouldn't you ??

I was taught" not telling" the truth,is the same as lieing,if he had told the truth then, this would not be happening now !!
