Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston joined the rest of the Palin family onstage during the Republican convention in September.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – After being thrust into the national spotlight during the presidential campaign, Alaska teenager Levi Johnston and his family are once again back in the headlines. His mother, Sherry Johnston, was arrested Thursday on drug charges by Alaska state police, the Anchorage Daily News reports.

Levi is the boyfriend of Bristol Palin, eldest daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was the 2008 vice presidential nominee. When Gov. Palin revealed that the two teenagers were having a baby out of wedlock it became a major news story shortly after she was chosen by Sen. John McCain to be his running mate.

CNN has confirmed that Sherry Johnston was arrested on six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance at her home in Wasilla, Alaska.

Hillary Clinton's brother took money from convicted drug dealers and promised to get them a pardon.
Jimmy Carter's brother actually registered himself as a foreign agent of the Libyan gov. and was paid a quarter million dollars by a government that bombed American soldiers and blow up airplanes.
John Adam's son gambled and drank away his investors money.
The list goes on and on of politicians who have direct relatives that commit unthinkable act. This story is about a future in law and you people are calling for Palins head. When Pres. Obama speaks about change he's talking about all of ya'll. YOU ARE WHATS WRONG WITH AMERICA. The same flaws the Pres. Bush suffers from are also found on this page....ITS THE HATE THAT YOU HOLD. You people hate Palin b/c she's different. She a hunter, a christian, a beauty pageant winner, a small town mayor, a small state governor, she's not very intelligent when it comes to international politics or legal matter...well most of you didn't know Georgia was a country 6 months ago, and 20% of all American don't know that the Republican lost control of congress 2 years ago. To hate someone b/c there different is bigotry...WHEN WILL YA'LL REALIZE YOU HAVE BECOME WHAT IT IS YOU HATE?

Look the reason that the drug dealing of Bristol Palin's future mother-in-law is legitimate news is this:
    (1) that future mother-in-law will be co-granny with Sarah;
    (2) and if Obama's past social contacts with Professor Ayers was a legitimate topic of the McCain campaign and makes Obama a terrorist, as Sarah Palin claimed, then Sarah and all the other Palins need to be busted for drugs if they've ever had a conversation with the other caught red-handed granny-to-be!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is amazing to me how many people on here are throwing stones at the Palin family, or anyone connected to them. I would almost bet that if any of you were thrust into the national spotlight, you would not want people calling you some of the names that you are calling this family. I would also bet that most of you have the same problems that they are having and the only difference is that theirs are made public.

To pam Eugene OR: I have not heard these two young adults say anything about how they are better than you. Apparently, you are just hostile to Christianity in general and you are using them as a scapegoat to vent. How sad.

When one breaks the law, one certainly should be prosecuted, and pay the penalty, if found guilty.

I wonder however, about a higher law, - that being one of ethics and responsible reporting. While I realize that once one is arrested, that action allows the media to provide the information to the public, I have to wonder however if those who wrote and approved this bit of trash reporting can sleep at night.

While I completely support your rights, I wonder why nothing was reported about any other person who committed similar crimes throughout the United States that same day by CNN.

Another even more important question might be asked of you as to why CNN decided to not ask for clarification and amplification about of statements made the day following Mr. Obama's election; in which he and some of his supporters both indicated that he might not be able to keep his campaign promises.

What does bias in reporting have to do with each action? Plenty!!

Here is the war on drugs in a nutshell:

"There's no way to rule innocent men.
The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them.
One declares so many things to be a crime
that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

When I saw the headline I said to myself "Who???". Then I read the posting and thought "Why does this kid's mother's behavior matter a lick to us?" I heard the Saudis want to build nuclear power plants. Now THAT's a story I would like to read about. CNN, my beloved, you have reduced yourself to Political PEOPLE magazine or worse yet, Political ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT...

Amazing how no one bothers to report about Obama and his video tape that a news agency in LA has but won't air, of him in a limo smoking crack....guess that isn't news since he is our beloved PRESIDENT – ELECT! maybe he can hold another press conference on that....or how he's tied to such sleezy people, but lets let him run our COUNTRY. So this kids mom isn't such a good example of motherhood, the point is it's his mom, it's not him. People just want to make something out of it because it involves Gov. Palin. If it was someone related to Obama we wouldn't be posting all over the net with it (i.e. his aunt?? sister??). Sad that society has brought us to this.

You people actually believe these two are getting married? You people are dumber than you sound. This was all a cover up because it was brought out in the news that she was pregnant. Levi will be definately stepping away from that cookie family. Who would want Sarah Palin as a mother in-law. Now that would scare the beegeeez out of me.

This is only the beginning of baby Mama drama. There is not, nor was there ever a plan for Palin's daughter to marry this redneck. The next few years will involve visitation and support issues involving this poor child. The good thing is that it won't be happening in the Whitehouse. Funny....isn't baby mamma dramas supposed to be minority issues?

Further, i read some of those comments posted here and on the past story about the arson at the church...some remarks about how it was deserved. Know that there were was a childrens event going on when the arsonist stroke. Children could have been burned alive all b/c somebody doesnt like Palin's politics. Some people on here, some 'liberals' believe that republicans are so bad that they don't deserve to live....funny b/c it's thoughts like that, that made me give up the GOP. Sadly it seems the Democratic party is just as evil as the Republicans. Radicalism has overthrown reason in both houses.
