(CNN) - Vice President-elect Joe Biden said a report expected later today detailing contact between the Obama transition team and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich would show there had been "no inappropriate contact" between the two camps.
“I don’t think there’s anything to exonerate,” Biden told reporters following a Tuesday morning economic briefing in Chicago.
Blagojevich has been accused of trying to sell the Senate seat that had been held by President-elect Barack Obama, and was arrested earlier this month. The president-elect had ordered his team to compile a report listing all conversations between the transition office and the Illinois governor. Obama said several days ago that the public release of the list had been delayed at the request of federal investigators.
“It’s been clear that the president-elect has had no contact with Blagojevich, and you’ve seen that he’s asserted - and you’ll find in the report that’s being released today - that there’s been no inappropriate contact by any member of the Obama staff or the transition team with Blagojevich,” said Biden Tuesday.
The report is slated for release late this afternoon.

"Tony Rezko may have seen the train leaving without him and wanted to jump back on.
His sentencing is off again as it appears the businessman is talking again with authorities about alleged misconduct under Gov. Blagojevich's administration.
The back and forth concerning Rezko's sentencing happened as Rezko grew tired of being locked up in solitary confinement. Rezko demanded to be sentenced immediately even though he hadn't yet signed on to a cooperation agreement with the government.
But he apparently reconsidered following last week's revelation that Gov. Blagojevich was recorded for six weeks and that a member of his inner circle, John Wyma, was also talking to the feds. There is no future sentencing date set and there is no status in Rezko's case until next year."
You all remember this guy right. Raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Obama... gave him a half million dollars in free property... is wrapped all over Harris, Blago, Obama (primary fund raiser in Illinois), Daly, Emanuel... is mentioned in the FBI report over a hundred times.

If Obama was guilty of anything the media will be all over it because it brings in viewers. And if some media outlets are in the tank for Obama, what makes you think another outlet will not publish the story? He who protesteth too much, casts a shadow upon himself or something to that effect. Problem is this: when the media is constantly in your face and trying to get you to say just one sound bite that they can manipulate and distort to their joy, then it all becomes irrelevant.
Let sleeping dogs lie which means just let this thing go away and let the Atrtorney General do his job. This Attorney General is not in the tank with anyone as he has been taking down both sides, which is good.
If what vice-president elect Biden states is true, why didn't someone else do the checking of the traditional teams e-mails and phone calls instead of doing their own investigation? This is not transparency as President elect stated there would be!
