Thanks that Americans are starting to wake up. Yes Bush is an idiot, yes Pat Rob is also a divider preacher. But let point the finger to ourselves for electing these idiots to run a great country with plenty intelligents people. I always wonder how all of this could not have been discovered when the entire world had noticed that Bush was an idiot. To Christians, on this xmas day, let call for Jesus to teach us again "love" which is the epicenter of our well-being. If this country is in deep hole right now is because we Christians are not living to the real christianity. We have lost love for eachother and put greed at the first spot.
Merry Xmas to all.

I wonder where has Pat been for 8 years? It's too late trying to figure out Bushes intentions. We finally get an intelligent person in the white house and NOW he says Bush does not know what he is doing. Wow.....wondered who did Pat vote for since he's critizing his own party.

Larry, please show us where in the Bill of Rights the term "separation of church and state" can be found.

Also the Bill of Rights was supported by Jefferson but Madison had a greater role.

This is why we are regressing - power hungry politicians in pastoral clothing. Shame that millions of Americans allow themselves to be controlled by these so called 'pastors', 'ministers', 'evangelists', whatever. It's even sadder when they name their ministries after themselves. Sad.

Do you realize that there is no mention of "seperation of church and state" ANYWHERE in the U.S. Constitution?
++++++++++++++++++++
You are correct, but...it is in the Bill of Rights, which was was penned by Thomas Jefferson, who was, as you know, probably THE most important framer of the Consitution .

To: Welcome to the Obama Show,

You said.......

1. MAKING FOREIGN PEOPLE AMERICAN CITIZENS AND THEN LETTING THEM STAND IN LINE WITH THE REST OF THE LAZY PEOPLE FOR FREE HANDOUTS.

Excuse me but there are hard working citizens in this country that are not making enough money to survive and must get a little extra help in order to live. What about the people who bag your groceries, who stock your food, who drive you to work everyday (transit), who cleans your streets and pick up your garbage. They work and they are not lazy. I know people who have jobs like these and still are unable to make ends meet. You are a very ignorant person.

2. GIVING FREE MONEY AWAY TO PEOPLE WHO COULD WORK.
IT PAYS TO HAVE LOTS OF BABIES AND LIVE OFF THE GOVERNMENT RATHER THAN WORK.

Excuse me but no one is doing that now. These people must work or be working on a degree. They (government) do not allow you to sit on welfare anymore like the late 80s - early 90s. People are becoming more sensible and are now working and seeing the value of working. Bush may not have started it but he sure didn't stop it. You are obviously out of touch with the what is now going on.

4. SENDING JOBS OVER SEAS. LOOK AT JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU BUY ITS MADE OUT OF THE US.

Bush is who pushed for jobs to be sent overseas. I remember quite well because I was in college at the time and my professor was asking us how we felt about the jobs being sent overseas, and if we thought Bush should be supporting this. Bush's thought was that it would come back around in a positive manner for the Americans by bringing prices down.

I don't blame Bush for everything. I think we should respect Bush - yes he has made some mistakes but we all do. I believe he tried to do what was best for this country.

Your problem is that you are blaming the American people - specifically minorities. You obviously don't like minorities, you think that the poor are lazy, and just want a handout. What a ignorant thought process because there is a great deal of minorities that are working hard everyday and becoming quite successful.

What's hard to believe is some Americans are still trying their best to defend Bush by blaming liberals and democrats. To those who consider themselves educated and those who have found their way to the comment section of CNN and still don't know their rear-ends from a hole in the ground (dummies). Bush made some serious errors in policy making. Almost every screwed up point in our present economy can be traced back to serious error in the bush policies and the conservative agenda. You can dig Karl Marx’s out of his grave if you would like, but you will have a hella of a time trying to convenience all the capitalist, democratic and republican alike, that Obama is leading us down a socialist path. Pull your fingers out your ears and butts and get a clue. It's going to take all of us to regain what we've lost.

The Looney toon who spewed out the hate about the ethnics being on welfare having babies and receiving checks from the government being the problems that got us in the economic situation.....ohhh and the medical law suits that has driven up our medical cost. You have a lot of incorrect opinions. Law suits make up .5% of medical cost and greed makes up the other 95.5%, that a true statement. I would tell you where to find it, but your type would prefer to spread lies and hate. Heck, you are more than likely another Joe the Plumber fussing about your tax dollars going to people on welfare and you yourself is a product of or will be a product of someone's welfare system. I've learn in 2008, what you put out there, you divinely get back. Take notice or be on notice. I'm not a prophet, but you will be depending on the kindness of a stranger. Who knows.... we all might be after George Bush.

George W. Bush, the first MBA President, failed in every business venture he attempted. Of course he brought the US economy down.

Oh, the Texas governorship? a do-nothing job. The Legislature has the power in the Lone Star State.

Pat Robertson's comments? There is a God! Not the one that chats to Pat all the time, but still ....

What will Rush say now...........? Will it be about the "race"........?
And what about Shean Hannity........? Will he lift his blinders and see the light...........?
Guess what,......... Pat Robertson has shown now that "CHANGE" is possible in AMERICA.
And you may call this the eleventh-hour conversion if you like

@WELCOME TO THE OBAMA SHOW

Sadly you are right and there are even more points to be added to your list, but even more sad is that America will not wake up until one day they look around and realize they are not free anymore. Unfortunately, they will be rocked into a deeper slumber by the media and other politicians and they will continue to give up their freedoms willingly until then and then it will be too late.

How funny- Bush was so bad that even old fascists like Robertson are against him. Of course they're mad because he is losing money like the rest of the old repugs, and down deep that's all they seem to care about. Guess what Pat- its nitwits like you who backed this fool for the past 8 years....you perpetuated the lies and backed the deregulation that has got us into these wars and this economic mess. So stand up and take it like a man. Do something most repugs do- and that is take a little responsibility instead of deflecting the blame onto someone else just as deserving as you- what a concept!

"Richard Rhodes" get a life! I hate when you people use Obama's middle name-as if he had a choice in choosing it--like he's some terroist--and demeaning him.He hasn't been sworn in yet, and already is making moves on fixing the economy. GOP don't understand what it's like to be hungry, and to not have enough money to pay bills. They are all fed on a silver spoon. Yes, immigrants shold have to get here legally, and I think they should be required to learn basic English and fend for themselves. They don't all take handouts. In fact MANY bust their butts doing jobs that you think you're too good to do.I'm an American, and I feel that Obama is going to do the best, given the opportunity, and the support of ALL Americans.

To OBAMA SHOW...

what are you talking about? If things were all rosy, you bet Bush would be taking the credit for it, right? It's called POLTICS, friend. He owns the bad news because he's the top dog, period.

and while i agree that not all can be blamed on him, his administration has made some really stupid mistakes that almost everybody now acknowledges. so you'll be hearing about it until he leaves office.

I sincerely hope that you can get through to the idealogues of BOTH parties that an honest re-evaluation of direction is necessary. Party rhetoric just simply will not do it any more. Congratulations on speaking out.

hey all! just keep playing the blame game and we will, as a country, get nowhere....from this day forward get positive and quit pointing the fingers....it doesn't do much good! Learn from mistakes of the past and strive to do better.

Some will never be happy, thats their call!

Believe me there are a lot of good/great folks in this country from all walks of life and from every point on the planet - when you see folks failing - get them help - give them direction - I'm not talking "coddling" everyone needs to be as responsible as they can for themselves and their neighbors and their families.

Pat Robertson, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and the multitudes more including myself and you are only human and we won't take nothing with us - but we can leave where we were a better place!

To: Jeffrey E. Salzberg

Your comment is unfortunately uneducated. Bush is not merely the worst President because he was arrogant or incompetent, or sent us to war in Iraq. He's the worst President because he has fundamentally destabilized the country over the past 8 years. More than doubling the national debt will have heinous repercussions for generations to come. Nixon can't touch Bush in terms in total damage done, even though Nixon's behavior was more condemnable to ordinary citizens.

It would be nice, Mr. Robertson, when you criticize others, to at least get some of your facts correct.

The events surrounding Hurricane Katrina were hardly Bush's fault. If you need to seek blame so badly, start with Nagin and Blanco.

The situation in Iraq has rebounded brilliantly. The lack of media attention is atleast one of many forms of proof for the improvement in Iraq.

The handling of the economy and the current crisis are not Bush's doing. Decades of government meddling with the housing market was a major, if not THE, reason for the current crisis. If anything, Bush made repeated warnings over the last year. He (and McCain) were not only ignored, they were told by the arrogant and ignorant Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, and others that everything was just peachy.

To Richard Rhode:
It'sobvious that you are a Retardlican supporter even though they are the party that is choking the life out of America. Either you are a rich Retardlican or a Retardlican that is so ignorant that you can not look outside the world that Rush and Hannity have described for you. I really wish all you Retardlican's would go lick a window at Rush's or Hannity's house and let the Dem's rebuild this country.

Leave the dark side Robertson. Despite jumping off the sinking ship called the Republican Party, Pat Roberston has been just as divisive and evil as Sarah Palin was during the election. I hate to see so-called Republican Christians insult and degrade others and then claim to be so religious while the Democrats are deemed by them to be the Anti-Christ. And that is what Robertson has been doing for years.
Nevertheless, I'm glad Robertson can acknowledge how the so called 'Party of God' (or so the Republicans believe) that let innocent people die in Katrina and Iraq is out of touch.

Best of luck to our future President Obama!!!

Jeffrey E. Salzberg... you really had to scrap the barrel to find worse presidents than Bush.... wow! And in this day and age...a president should be better than the historical past presidents you mention! Have we learned nothing?

As far as Jefferson being the first to mention separation of church and state... what do you think he IS.... but one of the founding fathers with whom many many others have a greed all through history. And if the present MESS is any sign then it is clear that the thinking was indeed SOUND!

Get over it repubs.... your man is responsible for the mess... suck it up and get over it! You are either Part of the Solution or Part of the Problem.... it's up to you... I hope you make the right choice for the sake of this nation!

walcome to the obama show: u are not the smartest person on here. sneding all the criminals to jail first off would b impossible and second wouldnt do any good considering that the jail system doesnt rehabilitate anyone. the problem with this country is that we are too divided. we have people in this country that only care about themselves. and we elect presidents that have way different views and they spend four years changing everything that the party before it did. Not all our problems arent because of Bush but he sure made them worse.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT GOT A BIG DOSE OF HATE IN YOUR

MOTHER'S MILK, TRY REALLY HARD TO REGURGITATE IT, FOR

YOU WILL BE THE FIRST TO BE POISONED BY IT. THIS IS A NATION

OF IMMIGRANTS. THERE ARE NO NATIVES OF AMERICA EXCEPT

THE NATIVE INDIANS WE ALL FOUND HERE. EACH OF US THINKS

OUR WAY & OUR RELIGION IS BEST. LETS GIVE OTHERS THE

RESPECT & DIGNITY WE WOULD APPRECIATE OURSELVES.

DOING SOME SOUL SEARCHING & SOME READING WILL DO ALL

OF US A GREAT DEAL OF GOOD. WITH THAT,

I WISH ALL OF YOU A HEALTHY & VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY.
