Obama, being the elitist that he is, with his elite cabinet choices, will get an elite dog. Watch – it will have a pedigree that has a shared lineage with Abe Lincoln or FDR or JFK's dogs. Why doesn't he just rescue one from the D.C. or Chicago SPCA? Not good enough? Another reason I didn't vote for him.
Has everyone forgotten that the dog is for the girls? It was not to be the President's dog. Get them something cute and cuddly, like a Bichon-Freize.

PE Obama and future First lady Obama have stated that they will not get a dog until the family is firmly settled into the White House. They want to bring their new puppy into a stable environment as responsible pet owners.
