I received Pell grants and have had a lot of good come from my education. Thank you Senator Pell. Thank you VPE Biden. It is good to see articles that liberals and conservatives can agree on without spewing vitriol for no reason except for the fun of spewing hatred in the hopes of making someone as hurt as they are.

When my daughter was in her second year of college, she gave birth to her baby girl. Because of the Pell Grant, which paid 100% of her tuition and books, she was able to finish school and get her teaching degree. God bless Senator Claiborne Pell. He was a good and decent man who helped give thousands of young people a chance to make it in this world.

Well the only consolation I can think of is now Senator Pell has a front row seat from heaven watching the souls of Bush, Cheney, Rove and all selfish power hungry Republican burn in hell.

I went to college with the help of a Pell grant so I have him to thank, in part, for my degree and success.

I never had the chance to know Sen. Claiborne Pell but I owe him a debt of gratitude because his actions that gave life to the Pell Grant Program was the conduit by which my daughter was able to get her college degree. I am so thankful to this man for his work to create this program and hope his family will know that his life touched many children that they will never know.

Amen VP Elect Biden, thank you for taking the time to express your feelings and thought about Chairman Pell.
