I am a proud Minnesotan, but the news of Franken, "being called the winner" is very disheartening. It is a sad day here in Minnesota. I can't wait for this to continue as it should given this was not done to ensure all votes were counted. They only wanted to make sure all frankenstein votes were counted!

Time for all good folks to stop rising to the O'Reilly, Hannity, Rove bait -- this country is as divided as it was during the Civil War: families have been torn asunder, friends have parted, and there's no longer the social mixing there once was between the two sets. At least in the south...

And the Conservative talk show hosts get richer by the minute, churning out books, spewing out hate....as our country suffers from lack of focus on what really ails...

Palin has an illegitimate grandchild, whose paternal grandmother was just arrested for drug dealing; Cheney's got a lesbian daughter, married to a woman she has a baby with. Now, come on -- what would O'Reilly be saying if these facts belonged to the Dems? And the Dems wouldn't mind a bit, were it not for the hypocrisy...

Now, that the liberals have finally learned to fight back, the GOP is apoplectic.

Let's get back to each having a turn, and having a little respect for each other, please. Otherwise, we're no better than the warring factions in Iraq. Why not take a deep breath and accept the other side for a change?

Isn't it a shame, the ends politicians will go to to gain power? Frankin has obviously won under vote counts by a board agreed to in court by both parties and their candidates. Now that those votes show an incumbent losing, they, the GOP, are raising Hell about an improper count. The court appointed board has certified Frankin as the winner. The Secretary of State will certainly sign the warrant, but obviously, the Governor has received his orders from GOP HQ'S and he won't sign. What's to go to court about? The court, unless the GOP pulls strings and gets a sympathetic judge, won't overturn the certified count of it's own board.

All is so CORRUPTED THAT NOTHING TAKES ME FOR SURPRISE.
Obama, Blagojevich, and others around members of the CHICAGO CORRUPTED POLITICAL MACHINE , affiliated to the CROOKS AND THIEVES AT WALL STREET , and do not forget the 'cover-up club':- Pelosi, Reid, Cox, Dood, Soros, and other weeds.

So this is another indication of how down to the bowels of hell we are going into.

And all thanks to a bunch of COCOZOIDS, WACKADOOS, AND GOOFBALLS DEMOCRATS!

Oh!, my!,...what an adventure!

Even if more ballots are counted, they won't be the cherry-picked set the Coleman folks want counted. And thus Coleman won't be able to overcome the Franken lead.

THIS COMMENT IS WORTH REREADING, RYAN.... THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :)

Ryan January 5th, 2009 7:33 pm ET

I love how republicans want to count all the votes now. Is there no end to their hypocrisy. Al wanted to count all the votes and Coleman tried to BLOCK him. They mutually decided on a set of votes that were legitimate and rejected the others. Now the Coleman has lost he wants to try to count the remaining 650. I'm still waiting for Coleman to concede like he said he would had he been in Al's position on the night of the election.

My favorite Newsmax ad on dating: "Forbidden attraction secrets the liberal media does NOT want you to know."

Hahaha. Liberals steal votes *and* thwart your plans for getting with the ladies. Such evil!

proud in minnesota here---the law was followed to the T. and now allwe have to do is get rid of pawlenty and replace him with a good for the people democrat. alot of happy people here in minnesota, you see rest of the country what you dont see is that there was a very strong third party candidate, and 90% of the people that voted for him would have voted for franken so really coleman got hammered in this election.....which he should have because he should be in jailwith most republicans that gave bush free reign to destroy this nation.

To Mike from Syracuse - I am with you that all votes should be counted. You must admit Coleman has been very hypocritical in this campaign. When he was ahead, Coleman wanted the process stopped. When he is behind Coleman wants the process continued. Coleman agreed to one set of rules (only count the improperly rejected ballots where improperly rejected was agreed by everybody) and then has brought up 650 more ballots from a Coleman leaning district which not all sides agree on them being improperly rejected. If anyone's vote is still improperly rejected, that should be rectified. Absolutely. I hope you were this up in arms about Florida 2000.

"The efforts of Al Franken, Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer to steal this election and seat Al Franken despite not having an election certificate are unprecedented," Duncan said in a statement. "I am confident that if the law is followed, Norm Coleman will be taking his rightful seat in the U.S. Senate."

Actually, there is precedent. In a 2000 Supreme Court Case known as Bush v. Gore. Funny how the Republicans think they have any right to complain about stolen elections...

Now THAT'S how you steal an election!

Take note people. Count whatever votes you want until your side is ahead then call it for your guy. Done.

I love how people bring up Florida as some sort of justification for this. If the Florida 2000 election was stolen, how did Bush win Florida in 2004?

Message to Senator Franken,

If only Al Gore had stuck it out as well as you did sir the world would be a different place. I think if Al Gore could have forseen the damage wrought by W and his band of crooks I don't think he'd have given up so easily. Remembe rwhen you thought "It did not matter much who won in 2000" America?

Anyway I think Senator Franken, that you have learned a valuable lesson from W's theft of the 2000 election.

Franken once said of a fellow Harvard grad that was killed in a gay-bashing murder that he was "glad" the (expletive deleted) was murdered.

Check out all the homophobic skits on SNL for the last 30 years.

Guess who wrote them?

Former wrestler Franken has some "issues" to deal with.

Hasn't Minnesota had enough wrestlers in public office?

Sometimes having "any" democrat elected is not a good idea

Terry: "Hurry up and get there Mr. Franken. You will be joining the greatest collection of do-nothings and thieves (i.e.,Pork and Ear-Marks) that this planet has ever seen."

I guess you've had your head in the sand for the last eight years. More pork and earmarks in the last eight years than ever before.

No administration has stolen more from the planet than the departing Bush administration. They are the equivalent of "oxygen thieves" - stealing precious air from the rest of us.
