This position is necessary regardless of what the right wing knuckleheads think. People need to be held accountable for their actions. This position was definitley needed during the Bush Administration.

Let's be more fiscally responsible by creating another federal government position that isn't necessary! How much will we taxpayers be paying Ms. Killefer?

I cannot believe that this role could not be filled by an existing position in the cabinet or elsewhere in the administration. What next, Chief Pastry Taster?

  12. Not Another Desperately Pathetic Liberal

Hope Won, huh Mari? Let's just create another layer of incompetent beauracracy to fund with taxpayer dollars. This is just like a democrat, they never think their failed policies actually failed, they just whine and whine that the haven't been given enough time to work.

Obama will be out in 4. 1-22-13 here we come!

Another level of bureaucracy? That's what we need alright, more top level layers of management and new rules to tie the hands and hopes of what was Free Americans until now. Is she someone's girlfriend?

O is reforning the government and her own job will add to the budget problem. The good news is that she cann blame herself in her first report. This is the new Accountability Chicago style.

How on earth is this position needed ? If Obama says control the Budget, his staff should follow his request. Other than that, Congress is the problem behind the Budget.

How can anyone call this a brilliant idea when they haven't even said what the specific job is? Maintaining fiscal discipline is already the job of the Director of OMB. If he can't do it, fire him and appoint someone who can. I think if Obama went around dressed like Barney the Dinosaur, many of you Obamanauts would say that was 'brilliant' too. Try to have some objectivity. The guy hasn't done squat yet and you are already calling him the best President ever. Mari, hope won? Get real, wait and see if Barry can even walk and chew gum at the same time.

I think the rest of his cabinet have their work cut out for them. Designating a specific person to focus on this, and this only shows that this is a priority. I respect that and look forward to the change that is currently in progress.

  21. The Board of Directors Speaketh

The creation of this job speaks to the failure of all the other "so-called" leaders in government that lack the courage and intellectual ability to do their job.

There are too many lawyers ... not layers .... in government and not enough engineers with business degrees.

Rather than an Ivy-league JD, the REQUIRED graduate degree should be an Ivy-league MBA from the likes of Columbia, Harvard, Wharton, etc. ..... or the U of Chicago or Northwestern ..... or USC or Stanford.

Gold platting another job as the country's CFO isn't the solution ... and I voted FOR OBAMA.

Bloggers, use the internet to FORCE THE DISCUSSION.

You see what we did around the topic of intelligence in the Presidential race ... you see what we did around the lunancy [and illegality] of refusing to seat Burris. The keyboard is mighty!

I don't know why we need anything but CNN who apparently acording to CNN has all the answers and know all the right questions to ask. You know it is still beyond me how the deficit got to where it is or the problems are taking place in the middle east when we have those so very competent individuals who all of a sudden think they have to skew president-elect Obama what he is going to do, and they would be the first to complain about him overstepping the current president, who by they way they still don't seem to have any questions for. I think if we are to believe that these people are so thorough and so credible. We should be asking ourselves why they are just now trying so hard to prove it. They sure haven't done it over the past eight years. The young people have the right idea. use the internet more for information. Thank God for it, more of us need to do the same and let these news organizations go the way of the dinosaur, which think is rapidly happening. I believe they are trying to feed us a bunch of bull so that they do not end up in the unemployment line.

The first job she should do that is to control the cost for the day that celebration of Obama take the office because 10 thousands dollars is still not enough for Obama squander.
