John Starnes Tampa Florida   January 12th, 2009 6:00 pm ET

Ms. Rice is a war criminal who helped to deceive our nation into attacking Iraq on false grounds and with dark amibitions…..I hope Mrs. Clinton takes little heed of any advice she gets from her. Time to start with a clean, moral slate with the Obama administration.

What a sequence! A white president is stepping down, a black one is taking over; both of them have one thing in common, a female secretary; a black Secretary is leaving, a white one is comming on.
To the one leaving I say, My Condoleances, Condoleeza,

Lyndon from CA   January 12th, 2009 5:24 pm ET

Condi should be having dinner with me. She has so much to offer, loyalty being the most important.

Farrell, Houston, Tx   January 12th, 2009 5:22 pm ET

I HAD A LOT OF RESPECT FOR CONDI UNTIL SHE SAID BUSH WAS A GREAT PRESIDENT. HILLARY WON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AS CONDI, JUST BEING A YES PERSON. IN BUSH'S ADM. YOU HAD TO BE A YES PERSON BECAUSE IF YOU WEREN'T YOU WERE AGAINST HIM, SO CONDI ALWAYS SAID YES.

Peter (CA)   January 12th, 2009 5:21 pm ET

"Dr. Rice—What was the name of that briefing that the President did not read?"

"I think it was called 'Bin Laden determined to attack within the United States'."

That pretty much sums it all up.

Jackie in Dallas   January 12th, 2009 5:20 pm ET

Would love not to see C Rice at all!

Ia Guy   January 12th, 2009 5:15 pm ET

Go Hillary!!!!

TexAnnie *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*   January 12th, 2009 5:07 pm ET

I had such great expectations for Condoleezza Rice when she became Secretary of State. She never met ANY of them. She has been one of the most ineffective do-nothing Secretarys of State I've witnessed in over 40 years of watching politics. I am incredibly disappointed in her performance.

Scott the Independent   January 12th, 2009 4:58 pm ET

Yeah and Rice will vent about being humiliated this week when Bush back stab her on the Iraseal cease fire UN bill.

California Gold   January 12th, 2009 4:56 pm ET

I wonder how far Connie can spit seeds through the gap in her front teeth.

Clinton would be better serve by having lunch with the homeless then Rice. 1/20/09 just can't come fast enough for me.

Lauren   January 12th, 2009 4:32 pm ET

Did Hillary Ok this dinner with her TEN advisors she has working to get her confirmed?

Or amybe she needs to get Rices input also, she must not be able to get confrimed on her OWN merits,,, she needs help to do it.

HouseDiva   January 12th, 2009 4:32 pm ET

alvino   January 12th, 2009 4:22 pm ET

Hillary, if you listen carefully, you might find out how to get an oil tanker named after you.

Gary of El Centro, Ca   January 12th, 2009 4:21 pm ET

With Hadley and Rice hosting the dinner, the only appropriate main course would be "crow". And they should be eating a lot of it.

NYC REPUB   January 12th, 2009 4:17 pm ET

Great, full steam ahead……. DEMS, we've got some wars to end, the best way possible. I really pray that this administration makes a difference in the world……… that's what I want, and they can have my vote again in 2012…….Make a difference, please. Hillary and J.Jones, work w/ Mr. Obama….

Steve   January 12th, 2009 3:57 pm ET

Hey, Hillary, here's some advice: do the exact opposite of what Condi did/didn't do and you'll be a great Secretary of State.

She has to be the worst excuse for a diplomat I have ever seen. Bush and Cheney were probably sitting behind her all the time pulling her string to make her mouth move.

box of rocks?   January 12th, 2009 3:52 pm ET

All she wanted for christmas was some new front teeth.Poor thing.

Karen-Phoenix   January 12th, 2009 3:47 pm ET

If Rice writes a book, let hope she writes the honest truth!!

REG in AZ   January 12th, 2009 3:46 pm ET

Some offer that the Bush admin has kept this country safe since '9/11′ and further that they have done a good job in fighting the wars but the facts just don't support any of that. As far as safe is concerned, that is a farce as anyone making a sincere and conscientious effort would have accomplished far more – remember Dubi Ports taking over our port security, the short comings with trains, chemical companies, energy installations security and the accusations of not being cost effective as they patronized favored vendors. And as far as the wars are concerned, there has been the neglect in Afghanistan as they concentrated on the falsely justified Iraq War benefiting only Special Interests, the convenient misreporting, the graft and corruption throughout and the lack of responsibility and/or conscience always lying about everything to everyone. C. Rice should write a book, an honest expose, the 'confessions of a dishonest government'.

TCM   January 12th, 2009 3:45 pm ET

I want to know why there aren't ten advisors preparing Rice for her meeting with Clinton? Oh that's right…she's a republican…she's got a brain!

mary.florida   January 12th, 2009 3:45 pm ET

Going to be sad to see you go Ms. Rice. I voted for Hillary and gave her money but I regret it. I wish you had run for President so that we could have had a genuine Black American rather than Osama.

GOD, life would be good.

Uncle S.A.M.   January 12th, 2009 3:33 pm ET

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. One giant step down for America..

Who will be the Puppet…. Why did this Lady not run for VP with John McCain??? Who will be the Puppet… Clinton? After George Bush Snr as Puppet of Regan… George Bush Jnr, as Puppet to His Dad..
Maybe she was not allowed by other Blacks…

REG in AZ   January 12th, 2009 3:22 pm ET

I can remember when C. Rice was running around telling the world the Bush statement (paraphrased) that they would have 'moved heaven and earth' had they had warning before '9/11′ and then that 'WMD and terrorist connections' justified attacking Iraq and again that 'the world is better off without Saddam' as if that was justification and not really irresponsible rationalization. The truth is that Bush-Cheney would tell the lie and Rice would run around swearing to it to the whole world. The best advice that Clinton could get from Rice would be in contrast to her performance, to be honest and transparent to earn the trust and respect of the people, here at home and worldwide.

nom deplume   January 12th, 2009 3:21 pm ET

I'll be glad to see the back of Rice. None of the people Bush appointed have an original thought of their own, well maybe "Brownie" who "did a great job" with Katrina.

Be careful Condi, you and the Bush admin will be blamed for everything under the sun even as they see that what you were doing was the right thing all along. Ms. Clinton will be backing the bus over you on day one.

Roger   January 12th, 2009 3:05 pm ET

This shoul be a very short meeting…And the conversation should be something like this:

Condoleezza Rice: Here you go Mrs Clinton The secret files that we prepared on Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Hamas, etc…..Just follow our leads and you will be fine. And make sure keep visiting Saudia Arabia you will get lots of gifts.

Hillary Clinton: Thank you, I will make sure I will do the opposite and we will for sure get a better results. Now let's go eat.

DanielF   January 12th, 2009 2:58 pm ET
