Hillary Clinton's confirmation hearing is slated for tomorrow.

(CNN) – The team helping Hillary Clinton prepare for her secretary of state confirmation hearing includes roughly 10 advisors, from deputy designates Jim Steinberg and Jack Lew, Wendy Sherman, and campaign policy aide Jake Sullivan to her Senate foreign policy staffer, Andrew Shapiro.

Why so many? I thought Hillary was super smart and highly educated.

Bobby B.   January 12th, 2009 7:14 pm ET

it just goes on and on....

tom   January 12th, 2009 6:56 pm ET

Oh and kay, with hindsight YOU didn't have to be afraid. This administration did not do a lot right...but it DID keep you safe. And to any liberal losers who want to talk about "rights" they lost. Tell me which ones and when.

tom   January 12th, 2009 6:54 pm ET

GREAT, if it was reported that Sara Palin had "roughly" 10 advisors (having a hard time with math?) the liberals and media would have had a field day...but Hillary "vast right wing conspiracy" Clinton is smart? How many does Carolin Kennnedy get? Roughly 20?

Never met a liberal who wasn't a hypocrite.

Furey   January 12th, 2009 6:47 pm ET

We love the fact she is part of the new administration. Good pick and she deserves it. moreover, she will do great as well as the new president.

Paul in SC   January 12th, 2009 6:09 pm ET

Kay, I have never been afraid. What country do you live in?

suzy   January 12th, 2009 5:49 pm ET

WE LOVE YOU HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In da Burgh   January 12th, 2009 5:24 pm ET

This sounds like the start to a How may does it take joke...

Answer: 10, 1 to keep her calm and 9 to remind panel members what happened to the last guy that crossed her.

Oh come on. Even though I didn't vote for Hillary, I can understand the fact that she is an intelligent woman. You are mistaking her for Sarah Palin!

Farrell, Houston, Tx   January 12th, 2009 5:15 pm ET

THEY NEED TO ASK HILLARY HARD QUESTIONS LIKE; CAN YOU SEE RUSSIA FROM ALASKA, IS AFRICA A COUNTRY, WHAT IS A VP'S RESPONSIBILITY, WHAT NEWSPAPERS DO YOU READ, WHAT STATES AREN'T A PART OF THE U.S. LOL

Ia Guy   January 12th, 2009 5:11 pm ET

Cheer's to Hillary's nomination...and a laugh at all you haters that didn't want her part of this adminstration.

I'm still smiling that Richardson didn't get it. It was his only reason for backing Obama in the first place. Perhaps Obama will be a great president after all.

I was a PUMA but wish Obama great success in his two terms!

Steven   January 12th, 2009 5:05 pm ET

Amen, Kay!

KLS   January 12th, 2009 5:00 pm ET

To Reality King: Why exactly are you afraid of Clinton and Obama? From your comment it appears in your reality Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, etc were the best thing for America. You and I must have been living in completely different realities during the last 8 years. Are you really better off than you were 8 years ago? If so you are about the only American who is. I hope that you will open you mind and actually give our next president and his cabinet a chance to get our nation turned around.
God bless America!
God bless our Troops!!
God bless President Obama!!!

Scott the Independent   January 12th, 2009 4:57 pm ET

As long as Clinton does tell the story about ducking from bullets she'll be fine.

Scott the Independent   January 12th, 2009 4:55 pm ET

Reality King – guess what Fox Noise is being discontinued and you will have to come back to the real world.

Daniel   January 12th, 2009 4:54 pm ET

Clinton will never fill the shoes of Rice. She will not have the back bone to stand up and say or do the right thing.

the idiot   January 12th, 2009 4:46 pm ET

She said it takes a village, though I think she meant a "commune." Did anyone tell her she can't keep the gifts?

realtybites   January 12th, 2009 4:43 pm ET

reality king, we are done being afraid. If you want to huddle in your basement and duct tape your windows, feel free. The rest of this country has had enough fear mongering. This is the land of the free and the home of the BRAVE

Rick   January 12th, 2009 4:42 pm ET

I guess it does take a village.

ah   January 12th, 2009 4:38 pm ET

All the best for Hillary!

Madam Secretary   January 12th, 2009 4:32 pm ET

I hope one of them is a Hollywood make-up artist. She needs all the help she can get.

kay   January 12th, 2009 4:27 pm ET

To "reality king"; Have been very afraid for the last 8 years. Good to have a respite from fear within my own country.

William, from Cali!   January 12th, 2009 4:19 pm ET

I wish her all the luck...in trying to fill "C.Rice's " shoes! She will need some, that's only... if she gets confirmed!

Gary of El Centro, Ca   January 12th, 2009 4:15 pm ET

She will make a better Sec. of State than she would have made a POTUS. Right person for the right slot......thats the key to success.

Veronica Richmond, VA.   January 12th, 2009 4:08 pm ET

10 people? Wow! That's 9 too many to help her lie. Did she pay that 7million yet?

A Woman In California For Obama   January 12th, 2009 4:06 pm ET

This no doubt should be interesting...

chris@stl   January 12th, 2009 4:06 pm ET

You will do fine, Hillary.

Michael   January 12th, 2009 4:06 pm ET

She knows in her heart that she would have handily defeated McCain as well. All she had to do was the get by Obama. Goodness, it must be a difficult pill to swallow.

BJ   January 12th, 2009 4:03 pm ET

Why does she need to prep for the hearings? All she has to do is kiss Obamas backside and she will get confirmed.

Louis   January 12th, 2009 4:02 pm ET

Who is paying for all these advisors–hard-working taxpayers?

Maria   January 12th, 2009 4:01 pm ET

The previous comment "you're a jerk" referred to "nom deplume"s comments, not Sen. Clinton who I supported for president and admire very much.

BB   January 12th, 2009 3:58 pm ET

She's a good attorney - doubt they can tell her very much. She'll do fine.

DW   January 12th, 2009 3:57 pm ET

Hillary Clinton is more than qualified to be Secretary of State, so I hope the confirmation hearings dwell on the topics of what she considers to be the biggest issues in the world, how she intends to approach them, whether she will prioritize them, and what capable people she intends to bring on board – or as civilian advisors – to aid her in their resolution.

tess   January 12th, 2009 3:56 pm ET

the milquetoast senators will ask her how she slept, did she get enough to eat and drink before the confirmation hearings and is she perfectlly comfortable or should they get her a pillow for her chair! after she coyily responds oh yeees – i'm fine will they say "ok, well i guess we know all we need to to confirm you – good luck madam queen – call us if there is anything we can do to make your life easy" if however this had been a republican they would have been sent straight to jail for lying, obstruction of justice in hiding files, accepting illegal monies and having her lackies do her dirty work and lying to congress and lawyers everywhere. oh well – welcome to washington!

SHES A CLOSET REPUBLICAN JUST LIKE HER OLD MAN WAS.

Laura, Boston   January 12th, 2009 3:49 pm ET

Well you know the saying, "It takes a village". Now where did I hear that before?

Houff   January 12th, 2009 3:47 pm ET

It cannot be a good sign that a democrat-controlled Senate concerns Ms. Rodham-Clinton over a cabinet confirmation. I thought everyone loved her....

sandee in Portland   January 12th, 2009 3:47 pm ET

I truly don't think PE Obama could have selected a more abrasive personality for this position.

Mike, Syracuse NY   January 12th, 2009 3:46 pm ET

Why? Does she have something to hide?

Karen-Phoenix   January 12th, 2009 3:45 pm ET

She will do just fine!!!! To bad Palin didn't have some kind of "confermation" hearing before she became govenor, let alone run with McCain!!

MD   January 12th, 2009 3:42 pm ET

She has 9 advisors shopping for Kevlar against sniper fire.

Bridgette-PA   January 12th, 2009 3:37 pm ET

Hey, stop hating on the Hillster. Leave her alone...let her do her thing and then run in 2016. It is on and poppin'

boered1   January 12th, 2009 3:36 pm ET

trying to get her lies straight? willneed more than 10 advisors! Good thing her and hubby have all that money for "overseas" to help them afford good lawyers and cover up the things they do not want known.

idiots

Virginia   January 12th, 2009 3:35 pm ET

What, she needs tutors to prepare for something is supposed to already know about and how to do the job? Really the best pick, eh?

Amber   January 12th, 2009 3:34 pm ET

I love you Hillary. :D

All smiles. I'd be even happier if it was you getting sworn in on Jan. 20. The U.S. and the World would be much better off. Oh well....next time.

Debby   January 12th, 2009 3:34 pm ET

She will be great as Sec. of State.

Joe the Builder   January 12th, 2009 3:33 pm ET

Interesting!

johnboy   January 12th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

she's a pro.
if it takes ten advisors. she gets ten advisors.

the republicans have wanted to grill her for years.
so why not be prepared.

Lauren   January 12th, 2009 3:32 pm ET

Here is my question,,, WHO is paying all for these advisors??????

And why in god name does she need TEN of them.

believe   January 12th, 2009 3:30 pm ET

this will be a welcome confirmation, soon america's change can begin.

Michael "C" Lorton, Virginia   January 12th, 2009 3:23 pm ET

Amazing how an individual (Hillary) needs to be "preped" before her Senate Confirmation Hearing. Why can't she just answer the questions--she is seasoned and experience--isn't she?-–or is this just a political pay back for being the "looser."

jaye   January 12th, 2009 3:23 pm ET

I have faith in Hillary. She will do an excellent job!

SM   January 12th, 2009 3:22 pm ET

Oh, stop! She is not Bill! She is smart, independent, and a servant of the people. She also chose to stay married, which should please those conservatives!

Gary of LA   January 12th, 2009 3:21 pm ET

I wish her well! HILLARY for PRESIDENT 2012!

PJP in OK   January 12th, 2009 3:18 pm ET

cat   January 12th, 2009 3:18 pm ET

Good Luck Hillary Clinton.

nom deplume   January 12th, 2009 3:14 pm ET

She only needs one, a lawyer, who will help her to repeat:

"I don't recall"

"I don't remember"

"That depends on the definition of 'is'"

tired of corporate politics   January 12th, 2009 3:10 pm ET

Hillary watch your back if things go badly for Obama. Remember all the nasty campaigning he had going against you.

we know   January 12th, 2009 3:09 pm ET

they are all paid for by AIPAC and wall street loan sharks and ponzi schemers, LOL.

ChicagoSuz   January 12th, 2009 3:05 pm ET

I don't know why she's bothering... you know all the questions are gonna be about Bill...

ken   January 12th, 2009 3:04 pm ET

She has too many skeletons in the closet. It will be good without her!

Brent Scott   January 12th, 2009 3:03 pm ET

Senator Hillary Clinton will make a great Secretary of State. Something tells me that she will do more than board a plane and fly around the world for photo ops as Miss Condeleeza Rice has done. I see great progress for America with it's image around the world and Clinton will be at the lead of making it happen. It is time to turn the page of this horrible book that has been written so, bye, bye Rice and hello Clinton!
