Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

When she decided to start "callin' some of the shots" she picked up the phone thinking she was talking to the president of France and she totally got her butt pranked!!!

Seriously, I'm sad she still even has credibility. Only with the hard core of her base. And honestly, if that's what excites them, it doesn't speak high of what intellectually stimulates the base.

Palin is a completely clueless idiot. The less we hear about her the better and maybe she will just disappear if we ignore her.

Does she somehow think that whining on and on about how her campaign was screwed over by the media is going to win anyone over at this point? That campaign screwed itself with mixed messages and a sore-loser attitude from the very beginning. If she wants to be a part of the GOP and on the ticket in 2012, she would do well to shut up and do her current job well. Let her abilities speak for themselves. Oh, wait . . .

I'm not bored... not anonymous... and don't lie about Sarah Palin!!

She's a complete and total idiot who is completely mired in scandal and questionable decisions. She isn't even capable of going thru a complete interview without saying something stOOpid!!

Funny... she's having such a tough time with the media, yet is trying her best to stay in the media's limelight for as long as possible.

Too bad... if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen!!!

In all truthfulness Palin has achieved so much in such a short time. Here is a list.

TROOPERGATE. In which she used her influence to get her brother in law fired. This is a matter of record.
THE BRIDGE AND ROAD TO NOWHERE. This grand scheme really worked didn't it Sarah dear. what yaz gonna use it for eh?
HER APPALLING PERFORMANCE WITH JOHN MCCAIN who should be run out of town on a rail for subjecting us to this moron.
HER HATEFUL SPEECHES IN WHICH SHE TRIED TO WHIP UP THE MOB. Glad it didn't work, Ive heard better stuff from Anne Coulter,
HOW ABOUT THE $100s OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN CLOTHES SHE KEPT AND WAS SUPPOSED TO RETURN. Still got em haven't yaz...
TRYING TO GET HER FUTURE SON IN LAW (maybe but not if he's wise) JOB WITHOUT QUALIFICATIONS. Don't deny it we've seen the letter in the Alaska newspapers you can't read'
HER LECTURING PEOPLE ABOUT HER MORALS. Didn't teach ya kids though eh. and finally.
HER INTERVIEWS WERE PATHETIC. This is the real reason you wont go on Oprah isn't it.

Luckily if you read all these blogs you will find that about 99% are against her as opposed to 1% for. This means she's done.... I just wish her end would hurry up. Don't forget the next Gubernatorial race in Alaska is next year.. Thank you very much. God Bless America

You know what they say....any attention is better than no attention, even if it's negative attention. It's too bad.

We have a lot to look forward to and a lot to work on over the next 4 years. Let's focus on the positives.

I HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPEAK KINDLY OF PALIN. SHE HAS BEEN DEALT A DIRTY HAND BY ALL THE MEDIA AS WELL AS YOU ALL THAT ARE SPEAKING OUT AGAINST HER SO RUDE. HAVE YOU NEVER MAKE A MISTAKE? TRIG IS A DARLING CHILD A GIFT FROM GOD, ARE YOU SO NARROW MINDED THAT YOU DON'T KNOW THAT, AND THE NEW BABY SHOULD NOT BE PICKED TO DEATH BY THE MEDIA EITHER. IT IS MY HOPE THAT PALIN WILL RUN IN 2012 AND HAVE A GOOD BACKING AND I THINK THAT SHE WILL. THIS HAS BEEN A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR HER. I HATE TO HEAR THAT MCCAIN SAYS HE IS NOT SURE IF HE WOULD BACK HER OR NOT, IF THAT IS THE CASE WHY DID HE PICK HER? BECAUSE SHE IS SO ATTRACTIVE AND WEARS HER CLOTHES WELL AND LOOKS GREAT WITH HER HAIR WORN UP. LEAVE HER ALONE, SHE HAS A JOB TO DO=LET HER DO IT.

Do you think that any democrat who negiotiated a 60% pay increase wouldn't be under investigation. She continually told lies on the trail about "the digging going on back home." When the pipeline is ten years from starting and the bridge to nowhere that we have her on tape saying she needed in the debate. About selling the airplane on e-bay. She was against teaching advanced sex education in schools and then ends up with the family situation she has. She really needs to stay closer to home for a while and then just go away. I'm not saying she can't be Governor, but don't push this bile on me any more. Some of the people in the "bad areas" have done OK without her so far. Get over yourself.

@ Trish.....why do Republicans confuse TRUTH with "lies and hate"?
"Lies and hate" are what Mrs.Palin espoused on the campaighn trail, TRUTH is the opposite of anything she says.

I guess she can't go a week without some media attention. It doesn't seem to have occurred to her that most of us don't give a tinker's curse what she thinks of the bloggers, or for that matter what they think of her, or care about her little tart of a daughter and the hockey stud she couldn't resist – in short, Sarah Palin really doesn't matter any more and that's clearly what's bothering her.

Go away, Sarah, we're all tired of your balonely.

Why CNN, why? Why do you, and the media in general, continue to stir this up? It's like you're trying to create news and controversy where none exists. Your job is to report relevant world happenings in an unbiased manner. With articles like these, you're doing neither.

    Just do your job.
