Palin slams 'bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie'

Palin has given a steady stream of interviews since Election Day.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue.

“And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."

But Palin said she had adopted a philosophical attitude on the downside of the spotlight. "You have to let it go,” she said. “Even hard news sources, credible news sources — the comment about, you can see Russia from Alaska. You can! You can see Russia from Alaska. Something like that — a factual statement that was taken out of context and mocked — what you have to do is let that go."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

Despite a season of barbs aimed at the coastal elites, Palin seemed to offer an olive branch to the Big Apple: "I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an alikeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers," she said.

Update: In an Anchorage Daily News column published last week, the paper's editor said the only questions reporters there had asked about Trig's birth came when the paper undertook a project to debunk conspiracy theories surrounding the event, but that they had abandoned the effort because of a lack of cooperation from the Palin family.

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "...So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

She should have told the McCain campaign that she was going to call the shots? How delusional is this woman? Does she have no sense of history, government or propriaty? The vice-presedent pretty much serves at the will of the president; her self-importance is dangerous.

The Republican party should make absolutely sure that this woman is stopped. If they put the interests of the party ahead of the interests of the country, they could find they are nurturing a demogogue.

    To Jeannie....

How the media handled Palin was disgraceful and demeaning?

Oh come on now...Sarah Palin dug her own grave with the pathetic answers she GAVE the media to feed on. "You can see Russia from Alaska", so that gives her foreign policy experience? She couldn't even answer what magazines or newspaper she reads? She was caught in the middle of an abuse of power/ethics scandal?...

The media threw her softball questions and she still struck out! If she whines everytime her answers are torn to shreds, how would she even survive in Washington DC when her DECISIONS would be under a microscope from day one?

Conservatives love her because she is a glossed over ultra-conservative, but she is not VP or Presidential material, and never will be.

It is grotesque that Democrats would sink so low as to involve a poor Down's Syndrome baby in its attacks on Palin. I thought there was a level to which even Democrats would not descend – apparently not.

Down's Syndrome has long been exclusively and conclusively linked to advanced maternal age. With that in mind, here is a pop-quiz for Democrats. Take your time, now, no hurry.

Question #1: Who is older: Sarah Palin (hint – she is in her 40s) or her daughter (hint – she is in her teens)?

Question #2: Which of these persons is more likely to have a Down's Syndrome baby, given that Down's Syndrome is exclusively linked to advanced maternal age – Sarah Palin (hint – she is in her 40s) or her daughter (hint – she is in her teens)?

I believe Sarah is a very intelligent lady. Far more intelligent than those that continue to smear her. I believe the people who bash her are mostly jealous of her. Women are jealous not only of her intelligence and ability to run a State, but also her lady like mannerisms, her love of being a Mother who enjoys baking cookies, a wife who is diversified enough to enjoy hunting and fishing with her husband and don't forget her outward beauty. What man wouldn't wish to have a woman like this? She possesses all the qualities of a true woman. Reminds me of wholesome sweet Southern women.

Believe it or not, I don't believe it's necessarily her child. I'm not saying it isn't, but I am saying we certainly can't take Daily Scandal Palin's word on anything. She may have paid the doctor off to say whatever she wanted, I wouldn't put that past for her a fraction of a second. She was already found guilty of ethics violations and then tried to lie about that on national tv when she said she was thankful to have been cleared of any wrong-doing when the investigation said the exact opposite. It's a shame this woman is in charge of anything. She can't run her household, can't run her state, and thankfully won't be given the authority to be the "backup" to running this country.

This woman is an uneducated, irrelevant, boor with a bad case of diarrhea of the mouth.

Many wish that they could buy her for what she is really worth and sell her for what she thinks she is worth ...... would go a long way to helping the economy that her party has ruined.

Palin needs to learn that most bloggers are not professional jounralists. these bloggers are the equivelent of UFO chasers and tinfoil hat wearers.

Don't get upset at the nuts, just leave them alone, they are nuts. As for questions about Trig's real mom, does she believe barack is a natural born citizen?

I mean there are bloggers constantly trying to prove that Obama was born in Africa and he's a muslim and he also has ties to alquada yet you don't hear obama complaining about things being unfair

My, my, sure are a lot of people here upset about Sarah Palin. But true, she's not very experienced. And as we all know you can't just walk right in and become president. I mean really, like some guy off the streets, who was a failure as a 'community organizer', who served in the state senate and voted 'present' more times than he voted any other way, who has ties to convicts, corrupt politicians, unrepentant terrorists, racist ministers could just come in and become president....oh wait, that's already happened.

Well, since I guess the experience issue was blown out of the water in 2008, I guess you all will have to find some other line.

I say let her keep yappin' her stupidity all over the place. We want to make sure that she has no chance in 2012, and the best way to eliminate her is to let her show everyone her lack of intelligence and hateful personality!

Palin is STILL more qualified that the two doofuses we elected. When the revolution breaks out it will be a pleasure to be on the opposite end of the scope from most of you idiots.

This is hilarious. You people who keep whining everytime she makes a comment and want her to "go away", YOU are the ones who need to go away. You jump on every opportunity to put yourself in the limelight with your silly comments. Why can't you just ignore these articles and move on to the next story? Obviously you do nothing but surf the web all day looking for stories such as this so you can voice your useless opinions.

What I don't understand is all of the negative comments aimed at the Palin woman. The best thing for all americans is to recognize that we should encourage her continued media presence in the profound hope that the Republicans will run her again in a national election.

Keep up the good work Sara I can't wait to vote against you when ever!!!!!!!!!!

well when you lie a lot...believe it or not...people find it hard to trust or believe you...and since the McCain campaign was essentially one big lie after another this is what you get...and for godsake stop complaining about people out to get you...it's not their fault you handed them ammuntion

She can blame everyone and everything else, but the truth to the matter is SHE IN CHARGE OF HER LIFE, therefore, whether good or bad decisions...she let this happen to herself. Since she didn't control her campagne and let others do it for her, this is what happens. She made her bed, now she can lie in it.

Enough already. When will this whining fruitcake go away? She was a mudslinging pit bull through the election, and now all she has left to keep herself in the news cycle is endless whining over..what else..mudslinging. I hope she doesn't plan to do this until 2012.

    thou dost protest too much??

bloggers are not news or media – they are just mostly stirring the pot – cause its gives them pleasure to poke sticks in other peoples eyes....

what does she have to complain about – look what has been done to Obama – he doesn't say anything because there is one thing – The Truth will Always Stand!!

Sarah just get to work and improve yourself and quit crying all the time – you are really getting to look very foolish by calling attention to all these "matters" which anyone with any intelligence can figure out what is right or wrong or what matters and doesn't – look at the Election Results – OBAMA/BIDEN!
