Here comes the Clinton circus!
catmom, when Bill left office, we were in Bosnia and Kosovo and had been in Somalia and Haiti. Oh yeah, he let bin Laden go several times. By the time Bush took office, the 9/11 operation was in full throttle. So yes, while Bush led us in a war, Clinton led us INTO a war.
Let the games begin!

This is NOT good news……..read "The Extreme Makeover of Hillary (Rodham) Clinton" by Bay Buchanan…. Clinton is a chameleon and not to be trusted. Obama had better watch his back !!!

Bay Buchanan is NOT TO BE TRUSTED! Why don't you just tune in to Rush Limbaugh, Bozo! *LOL* That is about as far out as you can get!

David Vetter's voted no , he should not even hold that job after his little romp with the DC madame , talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

All the idiot detracters shut the heck up. You better be happy that you have a smart qualified SOS. You could have one as experienced as your new President.

How can you give someone a job that slandered and ridiculed through the primary election. Get in caught in a lie. I really believe now no matter who's in office it's still the same game with the same people just moved around like chess pieces running the country. Change is when Congress takes control of the money monetary system instead of the central bankers. That's change! End the fed res and IRS. My kids should not start life off in debt by paying higher taxes on bailouts for corporations whomdeidied not tell the people what they have done with the $350 billion dollars..bottom line. Wake Up America!

First mistake by the new administration – won't be the last. She has no business in the post no state department experience except as Bill's dinner partner. Is this the change in America we can expect? It looks like business as ususal – payoff for her support and her followers support.

You go Senator Cornyn. I respect the two guys that didn't vote for her more than I do you. All you wanted was your name in the paper. Well you got it.
Glad to have her. She is great.

Slick Willy is ecstatic! He can't wait for Hillary to hit the road so he can run the women. He is a lucky SOB. Wife gets a job that will keep her out of the house and he will spend his days and night partying it up in the good ole US.

David Vitter is a joke! He get's caught with prostatutes and has a news conference with his wife at his side and states that he is upset with the press coverage. This man that claimes to have family values is a stain on the morels of the people of Louisiana. It is a joke that the Republicans asked Elliot Spitzer to resign but Vitter is fine?

Someone is quoting Bay Buchanan as a reason not to trust Clinton?
You must not realize that "her" and Pat are one in the same.

These senators had legitimate concerns. Bill's foundation is receiving millions of dollars from foreign governments that Hillary will be dealing with diplomatically. The potential for conflict of interest exists. Cornyn was happy with the additional reporting concessions agreed to by the Clinton's on Tues. The other 2 guys weren't. None of them ever said anything about not feeling she was qualified for the job.

Well, if the only Repubs in the Senate who will vote against her are Vitter and DeMint, then she is going to do fine. Vitter is a poster boy for conservative hypocrisy, and Demint seems to think the Repubs need to be more conservative. DeMint brings to mind a comment about South Carolina by an Antebellum politician from South Carolina, that the Palmetto State as "...to small for a republic, and too large for an insane asylum." We will be in great hands with Hillary, so get used to it.

To History Guy:
He never said he wouldn't vote for her he said he wanted time to make sure there wasn't a conflict of interest that would put our country at risk. This is what you should want out of your senators.

Hooray...............Hillary will be a great secretary of state. Why did the senate delay her confirmation in the first place? President Obama is right it is time to put aside childish things and focus on the big and important issues. Repugs need to take a page from the Obama administration and learn to get along.
