WASHINGTON (CNN) - Promising "a new era of openness in our country," President Barack Obama signed several executive orders Wednesday relating to ethics guidelines for staff members of his administration.
"Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency," Obama said.
Among other things, Obama said he would issue a pay freeze for his senior staff.

Pay freeze? Wait a minute......the neo cons told me Obama was a pay to play Chicago politician who going put his cronies in high level positions and milk the country for all it's worth. this is a good start. In my company all seinor executives are taking a 20% pay cut in order to preserve jobs. Perhaps a roll back would be more in order. Also, how about a wage and pension freeze for all government employees.
