(CNN) - It was a long and grueling presidential campaign, but two days were particularly hard for Cindy McCain.
In an interview with CNN, daughter Meghan Mcain said the two worst days for her mother were Election Day and October 17 - the day the New York Times published a lengthy and largely critical profile of Mrs. McCain.
"The New York Times profile of her came out which I think was a hard day for everyone," Meghan McCain said. "It was a very, in my opinion, not a very good article. It was actually being used in journalism classes as an example of the poor profile on someone, no one ever interviewed her. And it was a very hard thing to read."

Too bad...Cindy knowingly committed a sin by letting John cheat on his poor first wife before they even got a divorce. They could have done the decent thing and waited until they were divorced rather than cheating on the her...despite the fact she waited for him while John was a POW.

Cindy McCain was portrayed poorly. No one ever bothered to look at her charity work, or the fact that she has raised a wonderful family too.
Wel cookie, youpretty much have to say that. I was glad to hear about the embezzling and drug problems. That makes your mom unacceptable for the role of First Lady. Her incredible lapses of conscience ($30,000.00 outfit) was just gravy. Her hateful convention remarks were the final nail in the coffin.

I am a dem, I NEVER had a bad opinion of Cindy. She does a lot of great work, and is very attractive. She had a drug problem... who cares. She faced it. She had nothing to do with my for for OBAMA.

The New York Times profile came from a compilation of interviews, and articles, that have been done. The New York Times didn't claim the profile was an interview, a profile is a mini bio that can be done with existing materials. "The truth hurts", a cliche that sometimes hits right on, and this time it was.
Cindy McCain lost any chance of sympathy once she started dogging Michele Obama.
Cindy said a lot of nasty things about Michelle, she also had her talking heads (Elisabeth from the View being a strong one) out in full force against Michelle.
