NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) – After a call for "bold and swift" action on the economy in his first moments as president on Tuesday, President Barack Obama got right to work, maneuvering to reach a bipartisan agreement on his sweeping economic recovery plan.

On Friday, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden met with Democratic and Republican congressional leadership to discuss his stimulus proposal, trying to sell both sides on a plan that includes both tax cuts and massive spending efforts.

The president offered more detail on his plan to restore economic growth. He said he'd take a three-pronged approach to recovery: stabilize the financial system, fix market regulation and pass the stimulus plan.

Thank you wilhemina mosby! I have been saying that for so many years. It is wonderful to know someone else wants us all referred to as Americans. I believe we can accomplish whatever we set out to do if we unite behind our desire to be Americans first, last and always.

1.As Keith Olbermann said on TV tonight, "The Republicans may
like the OBAMA Bailout package MORE than they are letting on.

CNN, can you report on that!. I did not listen to the whole story.

2.One day we have The Big Fancy INAUGARATION, AND before the week is up, WE FIND THAT Obama is sending money overseas and to American abortion clinics to fund what? Their profits?

Even pro choicers would not want to pay for other peoples abortions
in America and International from taxdollars, would they? That would just give Abortion clinics more profit, would it? Don't they make enough money? What about the fiscal responsiblity Obama promised and the national debt. Why send more money overseas? If we are going to spend money overseas, lets fix the mess we are in in Iraq and Afghanistan. BRING our SOLDIERS HOME. Spend money on that,
not for ABORTION clinics internationally and here!!! What a mess going into a bigger mess!

I voted for Obama and I am already disillusioned!!! BIG TIME!
