one thing is for certain, if Gov Palin does write a book it will be on the NY Times bestseller list when it comes out. I am certain Palin's book would sell, but I am a bit surprised by the way she is seeking out media attention when she has claimed that they have misrepresented her and her family. She does not want the media writing about her children, which is understandable, but she uses them to demonstrate her family values when it suits her media purpose. Is it fair to ask the media to leave them alone when it is negative attention, but to use the media to promote their ideal family for positive attention? I have a hard time respecting this woman.

As a proud liberal, I don't mind admitting that a book from Sarah Palin would be interesting and commercially viable. I think her apparent ignorance is no worse than someone else with similar education of any ideology and she could write a book with help. I have come to the conclusion that certain types of people need scapegoats and sacrificial victims to satisfy some kind of atavistic sadism that compels them to attack what is beautiful and good. Any NORMAL human being, would be able to see that Sarah Palin is a Queen among women and among politicians, and agree or disagree with her policies and positions, afford the high respect that is her DUE, that she DESERVES, for her honest work on behalf of the American People and her lifelong efforts to live in a loving, intelligent and moral life..

Maybe she could tell us if she ever returned that $150,000 worth of clothes the RNC "lent" her.

I would NEVER vote for her, however, I think a book would be interesting, only to hear her version of things. The campaign mismanaged her so badly and we rarely got to hear her speak for herself. I'd like to see her take on it, just out of curiosity.
But I haven't been all that impressed with her post-election comments, especially about the "gotcha" journalism and stuff like the SNL imitations. That's all part of politics, and unfortunately what it exposed was that she wasn't able or ready to handle that part of it. She was unable to provide answers to pretty basic questions, and at times seemed to not be fully aware of the responsibilities of the job she was seeking. For that, she has no one to blame but herself.

Something else that people overlook, and this is key: Governor Palin is Commander-in-Chief of the only National Guard that is on permanent deployment.

The 176th Wing, of the Alaska Air National Guard train with and is part of the United States Air Force. They are vital to our air defenses, and are the first line of defense should Russia, North Korea, or China decide they want to become aggressive.

Recently, the 176th Wing was awarded for it's actions. It escorted 22 Russian Bear bombers out of US airspace. I'm sure you've read that Russia is flying the Bear again, and seeing what they can get away with. The award was for much more tough.

She also commands the 49th Missile Defense Battalion, which is the missile defense for all of North America in the Pacific.
