Palin looking for book deal?

Palin has reportedly hired a powerful DC attorney

(CNN) - Could Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin be coming to a bookstore or television near you?

Palin has reportedly hired a powerful Washington, DC attorney who has successfully landed lucrative media deals for other political rock stars, a signal the former Republican vice presidential candidate may be interested in further expanding her media exposure in the coming months.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Palin has secured the services of Robert Barnett, the Washington lawyer who negotiated highly profitable book deals for Bill and Hillary Clinton. (Bill Clinton was paid $10 million by Alfred A. Knopf publishing to write his memoirs and Hillary Clinton garnered $8 million by Simon & Schuster to write hers.)

Barnett has also negotiated book deals for President Obama and Obama campaign manager David Plouffe, and has landed lucrative television contracts for many high-profile network anchors and correspondents.

Barnett would not confirm or deny that he is now working for Palin. Palin's office did not respond to a request for comment.

Several publishers have said Palin could fetch up to $7 million to write a book about her unlikely VP bid, and could rake in millions more as a television host after her gubernatorial term ends in 2010.

But should Palin decide on a presidential run, federal election regulations would almost certainly keep her from hosting a television show.

What would her book be called: "Palin: You Betcha!"

She is totally "yesterday's news." What relevance does she have in today's world? Absolutely none. Obama, the economy, the recession, the Cabinet and the bailouts have completely drowned her out.

OMG - will this woman never go away? She lost! Badly! And took down a decorated army hero with her. Actually, I hope she does run again in 2012, as there would be no surer way of guaranteeing yet another Democrat victory!

I just don't think she has enough to say to be of interest to me. Her book should appeal to the far right, though, or to anyone else who views the world with blinders.

She's not going to write it herself, right? She can't even articulate her thoughts verbally, I shudder to think of how–or what–she is capable of composing. Such an endeavor would require a command of the English language that she simply does not possess. Although the person doing the typing on the keyboard would not have to worry about using the letter 'g'. All that said, a $7 million book deal would mostly likely be cut into since she'll have to pay someone with some serious composition chops.

If Ann Coulter can make the bestseller list, then this inarticulate loon can too.

Unfortunately her supporters don't read, so now she has to pander to Barack and Hillary's supporters. How sad.

For most of her life she's either been on her back making babies or skipping school, especially English. This woman has nothing to say that I'd want to

For someone who has complained that the media was too fixated on her and her family, then why in the heck would she want to write a book? Maybe the media wasn't fixated enough. Maybe she's not in the public eye enough? Ya think! This poor excuse for a woman is desperate for attention to keep her name in front of the public. I wouldn't spend 1 cent to purchase her book.

I seem to remember the right making snide remarks about how Obama didn't EARN his money, he just wrote books, would that same logic apply to Palin?

I'm curious to hear what other great conservative thinkers, like Joe the Plumber, think about the Palin book?

If she writes a book. It would just trash her own party and be talking about Sen. John Mccain. I think that will backfire on her if she wants to run in 2012.

About what? How to raise academically challenged kids that begin to use Meth early in life and then profess to be good Christians all the while pursuing publicity for their plight as gun totting imbicils.

Silly.....Sarah can't get a job on Fox News until she goes blond!! You have to have the proper "Stepford" look to appear as an anchor there! You watch – within the next 3 months, Julie Banderas will be an ash blond.

Okay. I'm not trying to be rude, but when will this woman go away and just govern Alaska? I am tired of reading, hearing, and seeing everything about her.

Even if this book was being given away, I wouldn't take it. First of all, I find her to be not knowledgeable on anything except the Bridge to Nowhere and even that she could not speak honestly on. She cannot write any novel that would interest me. She gives the impression of a dumb women which reflects badly on us women. If the book is a well written book, know for sure that she didn't write it. What's the use then?

  22. GO PALIN!!!

CNN – please keep reporting about Palin. It gives me a chuckle reading these comments from people who suppossedly don't want to hear anything about Palin, but yet they care enough about her to post a comment everytime there is a story about her.

I look forward to her book. I only hope she reveals a lot of the "behind the scenes" things that went on during the campaign. I have to admit, I'm not really interested in reading her life story. I just want to read what being on the campaign trail was like.

  23. Does CNN censor pro-palin comments?

Sarah is so engaged with everything, and brings that charismatic charm wherever she goes. The notion that she is some sort of obsessive partisan is a liberal propagated myth.

Maybe she can tell us how a woman in her 40s with a high risk pregnancy can fly from Texas to Alaska AFTER he water breaks.
