President Obama, David Plouffe is a treasure to the Democratic party. Keep him close to your bosom.
Mr. Plouffe, You deserve a better book deal than a spotlight-seeking – unqualified – damsel – always – in – distress – close – to -Russia – riot – inciting PS.
He was brillant and I admire him greatly for helping President Obama be elected.
Not surprised, are you? John McCain is and always will be partisan. He and other Republican idealogues have hardened their positions so that they will never, never truly negotiate in good faith. It is their way or the highway. God help us all. After 40 years of work, like many others of my generation, I have no prospect of retiring. All my savings were wiped out. What I vow to do for the years of life I have left is to fight these partisan, self-centered, pockets-zipped, supply-siders by working to elect replacements everywhere possible.
He ain't no unsung hero yet. Just cause we did good in the playoffs and succeeded extermely well doesn't mean is over. Hmmm, looks like he Dave could get bald, he better be bald by year 2...
I don't care about polls or opinions anymore. I do care about action, and reaction though. The media date that Obama has been on before, and after the election clouds the facts of what is really going on in this country.
Obama is the president of these United States of America. That office is more important than the man. Respect the office, and stop worshiping the man. Let's give this guy a chance to do his job. He is going to do a lot of good things I think, but I also think he leans way to the left, and is going to appease this loud minority voice of it's own reasoning. I think he's going to be in the middle, and already thinking about the next election.
I think there is a loud far right that is trying to get his attention as well. But we here in the middle better stand up and take this country back because the media is not on our side any more. News used to be our eyes, and ears in places where most of us can't go, or be. Now it has split up on sides, and issues and is agenda driven. Rather than a voice to, or for the people it's a machine for the parties.

David Plouffe did a fantastic job for Prez Obama during the campaign and I think he is just a quiet man who thinks not of himself but what the outcome was for others. He deserves great praise for his part.
Watching the Republicans use such a righteous and condescending tone regarding the proposed economic recovery plan is appalling. Rep. Pense explains "what we really need" is irrelevant information that his party could have utilized over the last 8 years....instead we are in this life and death predicament. They should opt for cooperation or silence.

I saw this segment and smiled because Senate & House Republicans and Democrats should all be very afraid of the powerful force Obama has behind – the people who elected him. We all expect the Republicans to be problematic but Pelosi and Reid et al, will be right up there with the Republicans and I just bet they are underestimating Obama's power. This is going to be fun to watch!
On the contrary, many of us sing praises for Mr. Plouffe. His constant communication with President Obama's supporters during the campaign were an inspiration.
if you listened to the campaign at all you would have heard of Plouffe . . . and he appears to be the real brains behind the campaign . . . (a Washington insider, by the way)

david was the obama campaign manager. he should get a lot of credit for president obama's victory. he ran a very successful campaign. i knew him from the beginning of the campaign. he is the real hero. how could you not hear of him? you're talking like sarah palin.

Actually, he is indeed one brilliant man in my opinion – whether or not he is a "hero" I think is maybe over-using the word, but not noticed, yes – and that is part of his brilliance.

That's part of what made Obama's team so great is you hardly heard about them yet they worked together like magic. On 60 minutes, he said that apart from a few gliteches, there was hardly any drama in their team.
He's was Obama's campaign manager....who handled containing the leaks, internal squabbles....he Alxerods gopher. Previous campaign manager positions....he cleared at one time $30,000 month running another campaign. High paid....but I don't have the figures on what he charged Obama...would be interesting to find out.

David Plouffe is a very VERY smart man. I know he doesn't like the spotlight, but he deserves a lot of credit for the great campaign that Obama ran. This man needs to be involved with the administration in some way....I'm sure that's already in the works because (unlike what LUMBERMAN said in his comment) people in the know KNOW that this guy is not just good....but GREAT.
Real Heroes usually are. They are content to work in the shadows because not everybody wants to steal the limelight. It speaks to the fact that President Obama has excellent choice. He knows how to choose and he works with people who share his values and his philosophies. Well done Mr Plouffe you did a brilliant job and will go down in History for having engineered a brilliant and productive Campaign. Do you have a prominent place in some capacity as an advisor? I certainly hope so

Lumberman, you clearly have not been paying attention the last few years if you think David isn't hero. Saying David wasn't a large part of the campaign or a hero of the campaign is disrespectful of his commitment to his country and the cause he fought for. David did an amazing job as the campaign manager and all Americans owe him respect for putting us where we are now, with a President (Obama) who knows how we feel and knows our struggles and will fight for us. Thank you for the great job and I look forward to seeing you in the political scene in the future.
