Just like every other entity that checks upon the government you are free to disagree with what they say or do but they do help keep the system in line. If you remove the likes of Rush, Hannity, and other radical republican conservtives then any administration that is different will be free and unfettered to do as they please. That will lead to abuse and that will be worse for this country.

I think the President and rest of the government are worried he might actually be telling the truth sometimes and that scares the hell out of them. When I am told by my government who to listen to and not listen to I think we have a problem. Are we now living in Iran or China? These counties have everything sensored and the people of those countries only get half of what is really going on in their news. And look how well they are doing. Rush's comments was totally talking about Obama's economic policies, it wasn't about him personally. The one thing that I hope that President Obama does for this nation is to cut the captial gains taxes by 1/2 to 3/4, corp. taxes, real estate, etc... if he does we will have big business move into our country and other businesses already here will start thriving. If that happens and untold of amount of jobs will open up; and the people will prosper by default. We won't lose our houses, we will be able to afford daycare, to put food on the table. If President Obama does this for us, instead of something he wants for himself, he will indeed be a great President.

The GOP is leaderless. Although there are many clamoring for this position within the GOP, Rush is actually outside the political arena, and as such has no real power. By aiming criticism at him, Dems don't risk alienating people like Boehner and McConnell, who actually do have power and whose decisions and opinions can actually influence the course of legislation.

Leaders may not have all the solutions, but no one has the solution for everything. But a good leader listens carefully to others and their ideas. If they have a vision and speak to the audience of the goal, then the audience can work together and create a plan that that will demonstrate progress. We need to stop dividing the nation and pull together and bring this country back. It takes all of us to do it.

I try to listen to conservative talk radio objectively ,because I want to know what their differences are with the rest of society and why. Instead of listening to informed and rational thinking hosts, I hear very very hateful divisive and spiteful opinions. My credit is not great and I no longer have equity so they said no. First off, I do think that this petition is quite silly and generally a waste of time. However, Susan, I do have to take issue with your claim. Just how is this infringing on Limbaugh's freedom of speech? Freedom of speech does not include a freedom from criticism or reaction to what you say. Democrats in this sense are not limiting his freedom of speech, they are simply calling for a response to his words. I think it is an unnecessary response, but this petition is in no way damaging Limbaugh's rights.

I called it 4 years when Bush was reelected to office. I got on my soap box for a few minutes with my coworkers and said that the Democrats will the presidency in 2008 and will have to clean up something major the Republicans left behind. I was thinking the cost of the Iraq war was going to be the major thing but it turned out to be the economy instead. Do I blame the Bush administration for our economic down turn directly, no, but the writing was on the wall during his administration with the prices of real estate that no one could touch. I think I have the answer. This morning I called two of rush's local advertisers and told them I would no longer be doing business with them. Believe me-they did not like it. Neither did the local station that carries rush. If we could get national coverage of this and people started calling advertisers all hell would break out for rush. This will ABSOLUTELY work.
