Blagojevich barred from public office in Illinois

(CNN) - Moments after removing him from office, the Illinois senate voted unanimously to prevent impeached Gov. Rod Blagojevich from ever holding political office in the state again.

    Good now If they would prevent all republican/christians from holding office in the united states things could actually get better.

    All you people who are talking about whether he had the opportunity to defend himself, just remember that he is the one who chose to galavant around the country giving interviews instead of attending the trial.

    Also remember that you do not have to commit a crime to be ousted from office. The mental instability he showed lately would have been enough.

    Now the Holier-than-Thou Chicago politicians can claim that influence-pedling, special interest politics, conflicts of interest by state legislators and corruption, are all gone forever in Illinois. I guess the people are more gullible than I thought.
