WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sarah Palin has firmly remained in the media spotlight since her bid for the vice presidency ended four months ago, but the Alaska governor embraced a decidedly lower profile when she traveled to the nation's capital this weekend.
The former Republican vice presidential candidate has scheduled a busy itinerary of closed-door events and face time with congressional Democrats and Republicans.
She also announced earlier this week she's making the 4,500-mile trek from Alaska to Washington primarily to attend the Alfalfa Club Dinner Saturday night - an annual closed-door roast of the nation's political elite.
But it's what's missing from Palin's schedule that is causing more than a few heads to turn. In a city that is ground-zero for national political journalists, Palin has not scheduled a single media interview or indicated she will hold a press conference.

Why is this being allowed. How many more politicians think they are above the law and not pay their taxes. This is an outrage, I can NOT believe Obama is tolerating this.
Sarah is too busy for trivial interviews. Leave her alone. We need all leaders to focus on the economy.

Well; I hope she crosses path with Buckwheat and Darla on her way to Washington. May I suggest an ever lower profile for Ms. Palin, who apparently never got the memo that her 15 minutes of fame were up back in November.... However, I will fight for her right to continue making a fool of herself. She shouldn't 'rear her little head' out of the State of Aalaska.
Now did I read that correctly? She wants to some face time with Obama? Now why would she want to do that. If I remember correctly he hangs around domestic terrorists?

I do not blame Palin because the media did it to themselves when she was campaigning for McCain. The news media stated that Twig was not her son but her daughter's even though her daughter was pregnant. And many of the younger people have made severe comments about her and her family which I believe if you didn't accomplish what Sarah did then you should keep your mouth closed. Sarah Palin went from mayor to governor and VP. Now, that is a big complishment and she is very experienced in politics to run a state. Whereas Obama needed to choose the Clinton administration to run the country because he lacks what she has learned years ago.
Good thing. Someone finally got her to muzzle it. Let's face it she has had a problem with speaking and coming out looking more than competent.
Mooney definately can't count. The election wasn't four months ago; in fact, it was actually less than three months ago.
