Palin lying low during Washington trip

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin speaks at the meeting of the National Governor's Association in December.
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin speaks at the meeting of the National Governor's Association in December.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Sarah Palin has firmly remained in the media spotlight since her bid for the vice presidency ended four months ago, but the Alaska governor embraced a decidedly lower profile when she traveled to the nation's capital this weekend.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate has scheduled a busy itinerary of closed-door events and face time with congressional Democrats and Republicans.

She also announced earlier this week she's making the 4,500-mile trek from Alaska to Washington primarily to attend the Alfalfa Club Dinner Saturday night - an annual closed-door roast of the nation's political elite.

But it's what's missing from Palin's schedule that is causing more than a few heads to turn. In a city that is ground-zero for national political journalists, Palin has not scheduled a single media interview or indicated she will hold a press conference.

Lying low? If her mouth is open she's just lying.

This woman is a waste of ink – why keep reporting her every move?
    Get over it.

"Palin has not scheduled a single media interview or indicated she will hold a press conference."
Of course she won't do media interview or press conference – unless it is Greta, she looks and sounds like a complete FOOL. On second thought, even if it IS Greta, she sounds like a complete fool.

This brain-dead moron is trying to be in the spotlight no matter who gets hurt. She is next for impeachment in Alaska for conflict of interest and misuse of Federal Funding.

Huh! Didn't she say a couple of weeks ago that her one regret is that she did not give more interviews? But, I don't blame her for wanting to take a break, and maybe she really does not have any intention of running for President. If she were to run, of course she would have to give more interviews. But, that is years away.

I'm still guessing how to translate "Palinese"
She's the perfect candidate for the new and revamped Rushpublican party.

Sarah Palin will never be able to keep her mouth shut for too long. She just loves to hear her own voice over and over again. She will never be able to be perceived as a serious politician from the majority of voters out there. She will always have her base which is made up of fringe conservative wingnuts. Main stream voters will never follow Sarah and her extremely conservative values.

God help us if this idiot of a woman is ever president. she is nothing but a beauty queen who used her sex appeal to become governor, and every other achievement she received in life.

I hope she goes away, but its going to take a republican (who wants to be president in 2012) to dig up the dirt on her and bring her down.

"After the way the media has treated her it's no wonder she's telling them to kiss off!"

Really, how dare they ask her questions about the Bush Doctrine & what shapes her opinions. Nasty mean media.

She must be afraid of how the media broadcasts her mumblings. I say to her: "give it a rest and stop talking". Once she opens her mouth, her credibility disappears.

I am a life-long Republican, but the very act of selecting this moron to run for the highest office in the land shows me something has gone very, very wrong.
Sarah Palin is the biggest insult to the intelligence of this nation and to the political system we have ever seen.

What on earth were they thinking??

Yeah! Let's start a Democrats for Palin 2012 group. I really think she should be the nominee of the Republican Party the next presidential election.
