How is Steele a disgrace to his race? What's wrong with being part of an ethically conservative party? How is being a member of the party that liberated abolished slavery insulting?

It's an insult to say that blacks should only be members of the liberal party, which condones abortion and other socially radical views.

No matter who they put. I will never vote republican. As far as I can remember my family always struggled when a republican became president. 2 wars and billions of dollars not the mention the lives lost.
The republicans claim spending money on infrastructre is money in the trash for the tax-payer. Well it seems like the rules do not apply to Iraqi infrastructure. Either way black, white, yellow, brown, or whatever. The color of skin dose not give you my vote or the votes of others.

Mr. Steele, you have a HUGE battle ahead of you!

    1. You must FREE the Republican party from the Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, etc., trap! Who are you people working for them or us?

    2. You must STOP the VILE, and give the American people brilliant ideas and inspiration....... instead of hate, lies, fear and division.

    3. You must become a party that IS INclusive, diverse and FAIR.

    4. You must think long and hard before you put the likes of Palin up as your party's candidate for president! She is vile & divisive.

Good luck with all this! I DOUBT very much that the Republican brand will change! You are all entrapped by the AM radio & Faux News haters!

  7. Drink Anyone?

Michael has to remember to wear a suit with a tie, not a bowtie. Otherwise the Republicans will send him out for a drink. Or they'll mistake him for a caddy...or busboy. Who knows.

Michael is an idiot of the worst kind. The worst. What a fool.

Wow, Taking some tips from Obama's well thought and successful campaign and presidency now huh? Who is the real leader now?

By the way, I did not see Rush Limbaugh's name. Is he the silent member of the team? ooops, sorry, he is the leader of the Rethugs

Steele was the one who started the mockery of Obama being a community organizer and the other lunatics chanted after him. look how he is going to be organizing the Republican campaign. They have no originiality..just copy cats.

Val in MA...he's just not Obama. That is the only criteria you have to determine him being better. You people are a joke. You don't care about the betterment of this nation. You are just rooting for your team. This is not the SuperBowl where the winners go off to Disneyland. This is the business of our country and our livelihoods are at stake here.

Grow up. You people couldn't do it right in eight years; I wish you'd be intelligent enough to admit that.

  14. Bipartisan

Partisans can't get anyone elected without the independent voter backing them. This time we punished the Republicans and gave the Democrats a chance. But Dems don't get too cocky or talk of some stupid mandate. Because if you screw up we will send you packing just like we did Bush and his crowd. It's been this way for over 200 years.

That being said I wish success to our President.

Steele list just proved a good point.

The Conservative Party has just dusted off the old Newt Gingrich/Tom Delay agenda: obstruct, criticize, delay, destroy, block, prevent, obfuscate, impeach, and attack.

Bring down the presidency in any way possible. Their only goal is power for themselves and even more wealth for their wealthy contributors.

The Republicans bogus proclamations about small government and fiscal responsibility is nothing more than a lot of hot air. We ALL know that because they did NOTHING to implement it when they were in power.

Republicans are like an abusive husband who brings flowers and candy to his wife after he abuses her, but slaps her around if she ever lets him back in the house!!

You are a racist. Are you sure you don't want a little more privacy? If I harbored that much bitterness and bigotry, I'd probably opt not to air it on the internet.

what happened to Blackwell? I would think he would be in there somewhere.

Oh yeah, I'm offended by the Uncle Tom stuff. I believe that most who use that term have no idea what it really means. I bet they haven't read the book. SMH!

  19. I have hope for real change

"Who cares? He STEELE wants to be like Obama. Too bad, he's a loser and an insult to his race. The GOP, which stands for Greedy Old People has a new black face. So what?

Can we move on CNN, nobody cares about the GOP's new Uncle Tom."

You post this racist junk from a Democratic bigot CNN, but you don't post my pro-Steele remarks.

natasha: And what position do you hold? You democrats fear that Steele will run for the presidency against Obama. Steele knows more about politics that Obama hasn't been taught yet. He already made a blunder wanting to fund abortion clinic's so they can kill more babies. Changing his mind back and forth on Gitmo. That's what we have as president? What else will he do wrong. Give me a break. The only reason he appointed a republican in his cabinet is he wants the votes when he runs for re-election. But Judd is the only dumb republican.

    You're delusional.

Folks, just give it a little time. Michael Steele will self-destruct as many people who lack integrity and a strong sense of self usually do. Just watch...

The group will start concentrating on gubernatorial and local elections right away, along with recruiting new candidates.

Now we have it. The Republicans Party frist and Country last. No they need to be concentrating on getting this country back on track and puttting people back to work you crooks.

    To Val in MA:
What tool are you using to measre. He may be better to "you" than Obama, but whatever. He is certainly smart enough to recognize that the floundering Republican party needs to promote a token in an effort to ltry to get the African American vote. But you do have the 4% who may be fooled by this nonsense. The other 96% know better.

It's amazing how many people simply read the text on Steele's 'Bipartisanship is overrated' quip and didn't watch it – if you had half a brain you'd realize he was telling a joke. It also seems half of you think he's running for president. He isn't, he's the chairman of his party, there's a significant difference (Remember, the Dems had perennial loser Howard Dean as theirs for a while).
