WASHINGTON (CNN) – Who says bipartisanship is dead?
Readers of the liberal Web site the Huffington Post have crossed ideological lines and voted Illinois Republican Rep. Aaron Schock the “Hottest Freshman” in the 111th Congress.
At age 27, Schock also has the distinction of being the youngest member of Congress.
Although nearly 10,000 votes were cast in the site’s poll, Schock suggested that he might have gotten some help from some participants who weren’t exactly unbiased. “It’s flattering,” the congressman said in a statement Wednesday. “Apparently my friends and family have a lot of time on their hands.”
Schock hails from Peoria, Illinois and represents the state’s 18th District in the House of Representatives.

Schock's goal is nothing more than to be a career politician. Those of us in his district know that he is very partisan. We'll see if he gets re elected once the district lines are redrawn.

You better look at who is truly behind these movements to restrict you.
I consider myself an Independent, but in this day and age the
GOP = More Freedom and More Personal Responsibility while the current leaders of the Democrats = Nanny State.
Yeah, well if you've ever read comments from readers of Huffington Post, you would know a lot of them are mindless.
I've watched for years while the Republicans have outmanuervered the Democrats in the "word game".
On the surface the word "conservative" is more desirable than the word "liberal". DIg deeper and ask, what is it that conservatives want to conserve and the answer is less attractive. It's usually, the old ways, the old boys club, the segregated, barefoot and pregnant world.
However the word "progressive" beats both "conservative" and "liberal". Democrats want PROGRESS. They are the Progressives. The GOP can't bastardize that.
Let the republicans be the NeoCons ... kinda playsof the term NEO-NAZIs, right?
