It's amazing to me that the so called political analyst can’t see the genius in what the president has done by letting the GOP run their mouth. He has exposed them in a way that could have never been done if he just tried to force the bill down their throats. He’s not only exposed the fact that they have NO IDEA how to revive the economy, but that they don’t even understand the concept. The GOP looks like pure D S#iT! No body even wants to here what they have to say, because they are IDIOTS! They don’t care about the country; they only care about the rich people that can fund their campaigns. Thing is, no matter how much money they get from rich people, it’s the people that are not so rich that vote you into office, and it is those people that now know you are not worth the paper you wipe yourselves with. The GOP is finished!

    Good Job Mr. President!
Thanks for exposing these frauds, and thanks for saving our country!

Notice how the republican senators are hiding instead of showing up to vote? They're playing both sides of the fence and it will bite them in the end.

Senator, it is better if you retire and stay there in MA. We do not need you. These democrats have taken our country to the brink of catastrophe. They want to spend the money which we do not have and I am sure they are getting paid for it. I ask everybody to call their congressman and senator to warn them if they vote for this bill. It is a disaster. Mark my words.

I am disappointed in reading some of these mean spirited comments about someone's very long years of service....I wonder what contribution to the greater whole they have offered....It is a new day....the tone for that was expressed by President Obama in his words at the faith gathering this week. I suggest everyone read the transcript. Those who align with that tone and spirit are a part of the new day. I am proud to be an American. I am proud of this country and its great courage, great spirit and great core values....thank you.

Go Teddy! You represent the best of what America has to offer to ourselves and the world. Your vision, you service, your sacrifice are a shining example to us all. God bless you for all that you have done for regular Americans over the past 5 decades. If we had a few more like you and your matyred big brothers, and perhaps a few fewer neocons, this country and this world would be such a better place.

If our education structure collapes because of this stimulus package I will whole heartedly blame the Stupid Republicans and George Bush with his no child left behind non-sense which hardly any educator supports. Once again we have left the money behind.

The only thing that makes sense is for the package to generate jobs for people to buy houses and pay property taxes for our schools or sales tax that can be generated. And come up with a separate education bill.

EDUCATION AND IT'S STIMULATION IS WHAT HAS PROPELLED THIS COUNTRY TO IT'S GREATNESS. WHY DON'T THESE DUMMIES GET IT.

Senator Kennedy has earned our respect – I so appreciate his wisdom and his commitment to working for all of us. Obama inherited this magnificent deficit – remember where we were when Clinton left – we had a SURPLUS in the US treasury!

Where is the outrage about the irresponsibility of the past 8 years of spending on an unnecessary war? Where is the outrage about the banking bailout sought by Bush?

It is time for those Repubs. who are so smug about their "ideals" to have some solutions for this economy that work. Bush drove us to the brink of disaster.

@Nicole TN – if you think Kennedys are real Americans, you're obviously not very educated....the only Thugs are in the white house and liberal democratic congress. You're typical of the problem this country faces; total and undeniable ignorance....
