(CNN) – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made a special appeal to President Obama Friday, asking him to keep her state in mind when he travels to Canada in two weeks.
In a letter to the president, the former vice presidential candidate urges Obama to discuss the construction of an Alaska natural gas pipeline when he sits down with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
“Alaskans have appreciated your strong support for the construction of such a pipeline," Palin wrote. "This project is now moving forward, and I believe that a discussion between you and Prime Minister Harper would greatly facilitate the process now under way.”
The pipeline, currently in planning stages, could reportedly generate thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in revenue for the state. Obama expressed support for the project during the campaign.

Perhaps Palin should ask Marc Antoine Audette of CKOI Radio Montreal to impersonate Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, so she can speak with him personally. (For those who may have forgotten, Audette previously duped Palin into thinking he was French President Nicolas Sarkozy during the Presidential campaign).
If she stand outside her house and faces Russia, and then make a 180 degree turn she'll be facing Canada. Since she can see Canada from, why doesn't she put all that foreign policy experience to work!

Sarah is simply doing her job. No need for the hostility, and I'm not even a fan of hers. I agree with a previous poster, that the election is over and we should move on. Stop feeding into every little story about Mrs. Palin.
This is our oil. The people of Alaska are our people. Yes we can build the pipeline and we should. Some of us are not thinking. We are so locked into our disdain for the Governor that we are willing to throw the baby out with the bath water.

As a black/conservative democrat I am sometimes ashamed as to what some of other dem's post here about Gov. Palin. Show some respect people. The election is so long over so please get on with worrying about what matters, getting our Country out of the mess it is in. Obama needs ALL of our support & we need his help, even Alaska. Which, last I checked, is still part of the United States.

The title of the article is misleading.
Palin does not "press" President Obama for anything. The only person she intimidates are her fellow comrades......Since she has decided to make staying in the spotlight her new career, she should resign from her elected position.

Those who disrespect Gov. Palin are only disrespecting themselves. If there were a compilation (and there may be somewhere) of all the unprecedented vitriolic slander directed at this absolutely charming intelligent and RESPECTFUL woman, it would deserve a place of honor in a Hall Of Shame.
I have come to the conclusion that certain types of people need scapegoats and sacrificial victims to satisfy some kind of atavistic sadism that compels them to attack what is beautiful and good. Any NORMAL human being, would be able to see that Sarah Palin is a down to earth good person and agree or disagree with her policies and positions, afford the high respect that is her DUE, that she DESERVES, for her honest work on behalf of the American People and her lifelong efforts to live in a loving, intelligent and moral life..
