In a letter to the president, the former vice presidential candidate urges Obama to discuss the construction of an Alaska natural gas pipeline when he sits down with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

(CNN) – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made a special appeal to President Obama Friday, asking him to keep her state in mind when he travels to Canada in two weeks.

In a letter to the president, the former vice presidential candidate urges Obama to discuss the construction of an Alaska natural gas pipeline when he sits down with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

“Alaskans have appreciated your strong support for the construction of such a pipeline," Palin wrote. "This project is now moving forward, and I believe that a discussion between you and Prime Minister Harper would greatly facilitate the process now under way.”

The pipeline, currently in planning stages, could reportedly generate thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in revenue for the state. Obama expressed support for the project during the campaign.

So now she wants to "pal around with terrorists" as she claims Obama did. Yep. She's a politician all right!

Get real. The pipeline will not get built: Palin never conferred with the First Natives in Canada about crossing their lands, and they are savvy negotiators- and will drag out the process for years, as they don't want it. Alaskans put $500M down a sink hole-

You people have got to be some of the nastiest I have seen on blogs god help you and your families because your nasty hatred will surely come back on you and them, don't even bother asking why when nasty things happen to you and them, just look in the mirror. At least Sarah Palin is doing the work of the people of Alaska, like she was doing before nasty lemmings like you and the drive by media. What have you done in your neighborhoods or state to make things better for anyone? Who will remember any of you people in the end. Have you ever done anything in this life to make life better for others? or are you just here sucking up oxygen.

My economic stimulus plan involves selling Alaska back to Russia.

As long as Palin and several million of her followers go with the deal, we can't lose. The sale of Alaska to Russia with covenants on existing Park, Forest and Refuge lands along with payment for the estimated crude reserves would be enough to set the U.S. free from all debts and have enough money to build a state of the art renewable energy based economy. And, once again, the United States of America would be the world leader and superpower.

With millions of Palin's admirers out of the way, and with only the Kremlin for them to pester, the vibe in our nation would immediately become more positive, open minded, honest and friendly. This alone would increase productivity beyond anything ever before experienced. We could be at peace and begin building a sustainable future for our children.

Let's face it; Alaska hasn't been a state that long and where it is not even connected to the rest of America, it's sort of a rogue state anyway. They could offer everyone who wants to move up there 40 acres and a moose as well as a rifle to get stated with.

All of a sudden, the cat's got Sistah Sayrah's tongue? Press conferences only work for her when she's whining, eh? My recommendation would be that we ignore the hypocrite in lipstick...and BOYCOTT EXXON, which is STILL making billions in profits!!!

Energy is news. Our electric bill was just increased 36%. She is getting this pipeline done. Something others have talked about for 30 yrs. This is going to keep your homes warm. What is wrong with you people. Are you bloggers paid to bash Palin. She is more level headed and has more common sense than the bunch we have in Washington. Palin is working at creating jobs, not just spending on pork projects. Seems like she cannot be bought. She has a very high code of ethics and will not compromise her integrity. Some of you are fools. Tired of hearing about the wink. Could that wink be for a favorite aunt? Didn't Carol Burnet tug her ear lobe for her Mom?

This pipeline could be one of the factors that pull us out of the recession. It would create more jobs, and we would reap the benefits of cheaper natural gas.

Sarah Palin has made enough NOISE and inflicted enough PAIN.

She should go away quietly into the night. . . forever more.

Why doesn't she just call the Prime Minister directly and set up a meeting? She has foreign policy experience to deal with these matters. If Obama entertains the idea, he is more gracious than I could be, considering her name calling during the campaign. Did he ever call her a fabricating, manipulative, say anthing, do anything kind of gal that seems to attract those repugs who look at her and pant, or the poor white trailer trash group (which I am part of)?

This whole thing is pathetic. First of all, we don't need a daily tracking report on what Gov. Palin is doing. Second of all, I'm a Democrat, but this over-the-top hatred of Gov. Palin is enough to make me vomit. Why does a Democrat like me not hate Gov. Palin like all the lunatics who post comments here? Because she didn't do anything! Do what I do and attack Bush and Cheney. They're the people who ruined this country (along with Reagan and Bush I and their stupid economic policies and skyrocketing of the national debt). If Gov. Palin becomes president and does a good job, I will compliment her. If she becomes president and does a bad job, I will criticize her. In the meantime, why obsess about her? You people who obsess about her all day and all night need to give serious consideration to getting a life. Quit dwelling about an out-of-line comment (pallin around with terrorists) from last September or October. Unlike Rush Limbaugh's attitude toward Pres. Obama, I actually wish Gov. Palin all the best in doing a good job as governor. Then again, I'm not a psycho hyprocrit like most of the people who post comments here. Instead of thinking about how much you hate Gov. Palin, why not try volunteering at a soup kitchen. It would be a lot more constructive.

Wait a minute. Out of one side of her mouth, Palin publicly declares her opposition to the stimulus package. And out of the other side, she wants a portion of the spending to be directed to her pet Alaskan projects.

But then, hypocrisy has always been SOP for the GOP.
