In a letter to the president, the former vice presidential candidate urges Obama to discuss the construction of an Alaska natural gas pipeline when he sits down with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

(CNN) – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made a special appeal to President Obama Friday, asking him to keep her state in mind when he travels to Canada in two weeks.

In a letter to the president, the former vice presidential candidate urges Obama to discuss the construction of an Alaska natural gas pipeline when he sits down with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

“Alaskans have appreciated your strong support for the construction of such a pipeline," Palin wrote. "This project is now moving forward, and I believe that a discussion between you and Prime Minister Harper would greatly facilitate the process now under way.”

The pipeline, currently in planning stages, could reportedly generate thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in revenue for the state. Obama expressed support for the project during the campaign.

For whatever reason, this probably won't get posted. Why? Why? Why? Why, is she a story? She showed the country what an incompetent she clearly is.

Funny how she slithered up near where the PRESIDENT was sitting, and only the Judas Liebermann acknowledged her. President Obama met with McCain. Did not look like he even turned in her direction.

I am in awe of how she is so full of herself. Thanks, John McCain!

Wow, Sarah. Those are some mighty big words for you. Did your speechwriter have to look them up in the dictionary for ya, so you knew what he meant? I betcha!

Heck no, who in their right mind wants to talk to her? She's daft and should be on the Blagojevich crazy person list of governors. Alaskans were fools to pick her.

Let Sarah continue to watch out for the Russians and leave our president alone. He should NOT give her credibility. Her fifteen minutes are up. Between her and Joe the Plumber, I don't know what we have to do to shut them the heck up.

Well what do you know, Sarah Palin finally remembered that she is governor of Alaska and is responsible for running the state.

That's great news for the people of Alaska and better news for the rest of the country.

I also noticed lately that she is looking more like a governor and not a vice-presidential candidate. Did Michael Steele finally get the RNC to stop footing the bill for her make-up and wardrobe?

Did Palin see her shadow? Maybe she'll go underground and the world will get back to normal. What a waste of space.

I think I'd know what I would tell the "DISASTA from ALASKA" !! Imagine her asking President Obama after saying he was Anti-American and Palled around with terrorists ! She is pathetic, completely out of touch, SHAME ON YOU Governor Palin, and by the way he is referred to as PRESIDENT Obama .

Obama actually puts country first. Palin smeared him and I am sure he dislikes her in a personal capacity, but it is good for the country and creates jobs so he supports the pipeline.
