(CNN) - Todd Palin and nine aides were found in contempt Friday by the Alaska Senate for failing to appear to testify in the Legislature's "troopergate" investigation of his wife, Gov. Sarah Palin, a spokeswoman for the Alaska Democratic Party said.

But a Senate resolution said no one should be punished, because the 10 did submit statements to the investigator, the Anchorage Daily News reported.

The governor's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The investigation concerns the governor's firing of the state's public safety commissioner, Walter Monegan.

A bipartisan commission in the state Legislature investigated allegations that Palin fired Monegan after he refused to sack her ex-brother-in-law, State Trooper Mike Wooten. The governor, first elected in 2006, has denied wrongdoing.

I thought the word "subpoena" meant you must appear to testify or be "under punishment." This wasn't even a tap on the wrist. Some investigation.

"Contempt" is what everybody should have for a court that wants to pursue a case for a jerk like Palins exbrother-in-law ,a trooper.

Complaints from Palin's family led to a five-day suspension for the trooper in 2006 after his superiors found he had illegally shot a moose using his wife's permit, drove his patrol car while drinking beer and used a Taser on his 10-year-old stepson "in a training capacity."

WHO WOULD DEFEND THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR ??? NOT ME!!!

Oh, how quickly we forget Bill Clinton when we are shaking our fingers at Palin. The body count surrounding his adminisration was unbeleivable..and never got any real coverage. By the way..What is he definition of "is"? Oh, and the pride of the Democatic Party, Ted Kennedy too. Since the Clinton News Nework forgets the stack of felonys his family got him out of....I hope she died quickly and he rots in Hell fo killing her.
