I noticed Obama tried to stretch out his answers as long as possible to limit the number of questions asked. He really went off on a tanget on several answers. His first answer was 12 minutes long. This shows to me that he's afraid to ask questions because he's probably not qualified for the job. I noticed he used the same tactics in the primaries and general election. Just one reason I didn't vote for your president.

Wow, first I want to say I am shocked that CNN aired this. Isn't this Campbell Brown's slot?

Amazing how Bush steered clear of these.........

After so many years, we have a President who can speak English. Finally – wisdom, common sense and reason.

President Obama did a great job. This is so refreshing after the last 8 years. The only question I have is why allow FOX to ask him a question-shouldn't he be asking THEM why they seem to hate Americans?

Finally, we have a president who listen to the people in the midst of the media's nay sayers.

I listened to the whole thing and I was amazed by the lack of substance and of leadership. I understand, we have to review more, create more commissions for studies revies and evaluation, in the mean time it is necessary to exagerate the state of gloom and doom so the expectations are low.
    Good strategy!

I agree with most of the news organizations that the president picked for questions except for huffington post because I thought huffington post is a blog (a very liberal blog in my opinion) and not a news organization. I'm a conservative but would not think that a conservative blog should be picked either since blogs don't have the best reputation of being fair but seeing the state of the news lately maybe thats where we're heading.

I though AP had the best question about talking down the economy, Fox had the best response from president obama (he threw biden under the bus) and Washington Post was just stupid (what does A-Rod have to do with the economy or foreign policy?).

Is this like going to a Dave Matthews concert where we write down the set list after the show?

He never answered one question. He gave some long winded gloom and doom scenario similar to what George Bush gave. Why the gloom and doom? Where is the hope and change?

If this were McCain, all 13 selections would come from Foxnews lineup. Fair and Balance. Yeah. Right!

I will like to advise the President Obama to give money to the states where the Senators and Governors feel the stimulus is necessary. Those Senators and Governors who feel is not necessary should be left out.

I am very proud of President Obama. Excellent press conference today.

As expected, what an incredibly smart press conference! So thorough, so respectful, so personal. And he also knows how to tell folks to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to it. He must be Irish!

Overall a good show, but he was a bit chatty with stump stimulus raps in response to questions. I still don't buy his plan, believing it is not sufficiently targeted to immediately stimulative areas, and it is grossly oversized considering the risk that it may not work as planned, or for years, and in any event is a load of debt to lay on the country for a guy who's never created a job.

An eight minute statement and 51 minutes of questions. After watching this gentleman for almost 18 months...I still think what an exceptional, open and honest man.- a man of truth, integrity and one who holds himself to the highest standard and has the most amazing work ethic. God bless the USA and President Obama. Wish we had someone of this man's caliber here in Canada.
