President Obama bumps his head

CNN

The President bumped his head as he stepped into Marine One Monday morning at the White House.

WHITE HOUSE (CNN) - There was a minor bump on the road - actually a minor bump on the head - as President Barack Obama departed Monday for Elkhart, Indiana to sell his stimulus plan to Americans.

While boarding Marine One on Monday morning, the president turned to wave goodbye and ever so slightly bumped the left side of his head on the doorway to the helicopter. He seemed to recover quickly, then ducked before boarding the helicopter that would take him to Air Force One. Unfortunately for Obama, there were many cameras there to capture the accident.

This isn’t the first time a president’s head has collided with Marine One: President George W. Bush hit his head on the side of the helicopter while boarding shortly after taking office — also in full view of a row of cameras.

Luckily for both men, no visible signs of injury resulted from the minor mishap.

Geez, first you have to wait for that long ad and when you finally get to the video he barely taps his head. Our economy is in peril and this is the top story on the ticker.

Enough of this junk, if this is all you have to report on maybe there are to many reporters. Do you need to adjust you're employee numbers?

I am a professional incident reader: Bumping his head shows nervousness, confusion, inexperience, and insincerity of purpose, and deceit.

When he farts will that make news? Of course we continue to hear "news" about when he will get a dog, a cat, a horse? How about actually asking the questions people in this country want to know. How will this spending bill help? How will putting a trillion dollars of debt on our children help us? How are our lives more important financially than our childrens? How will this debt be repaid? You wonder why so many Americans a getting their "news" from alternative sources – because they want the news from unbiased sources which this story shows is not the case. How about showing both Republicans AND Democrats who have voted for such spending bills in their past only to change their complete position now? Help us see who the real people are behind the votes? That is what we expect and that is what we will search for. The only question is will we get that info from you or someone else?

I fear that his whole term will be covered like this. He is a rockstar and will be treated like one. If this was Bush he would have been made fun of by every media outlet, save FOX News.

Even if this is considered a "ticker" with as close to real-time updates as possible, this is an absolutely ridiculous post.

When the 3rd headline on the CNN homepage is: "Obama bumps his head", I seriously start to wonder what "producers" like Xuan Thai really get paid to do.

Simply ending the article with a statement that seems to be tongue-in-cheek doesn't make the substance (or lack thereof) acceptable as news.

It seems to be that CNN just wants to enjoy the viewers responses to such TRIVIAL news.I find no other reason.

I have been noticing more so that the news people must need their low profile stories to save their jobs. Personally, they stir the Americans up when they report these idiotic events.

Why is this important? Is CNN now the National Enquirer? Or does the media already disrespect him as much as they did President Ford? The man will probably get a paper cut too, and maybe sneeze occasionally. Will this also be news? Come on! This is ridiculous.

    - almost as ridiculous as people like Mick in Mesa who find this an opportunity to spew constant venom. Is everybody as tired of these guys, both on the right and the left, who constantly add this nonsense? Why does it get past the moderator?

Is this truly news worthy? Seriously? A Polish engineer is beheaded and the video sent around the world as a warning...and you headline that Obama bumped his precious little messiah head on the helicopter.....This is the saddest excuse for news I have ever read in my entire life.

Oh paleeeze! This is crazy to report a very minor event. I am sure the media has better things to do? Well maybe not. Slow news day?

Fortunetly, George Bush left his helmet at the White House when he left. The one he wore when eating pretzels.
