President Obama bumps his head

CNN

The President bumped his head as he stepped into Marine One Monday morning at the White House.

WHITE HOUSE (CNN) - There was a minor bump on the road - actually a minor bump on the head - as President Barack Obama departed Monday for Elkhart, Indiana to sell his stimulus plan to Americans.

While boarding Marine One on Monday morning, the president turned to wave goodbye and ever so slightly bumped the left side of his head on the doorway to the helicopter. He seemed to recover quickly, then ducked before boarding the helicopter that would take him to Air Force One. Unfortunately for Obama, there were many cameras there to capture the accident.

This isn’t the first time a president’s head has collided with Marine One: President George W. Bush hit his head on the side of the helicopter while boarding shortly after taking office — also in full view of a row of cameras.

Luckily for both men, no visible signs of injury resulted from the minor mishap.

I'm not sure why you are all making a big deal about this being on CNN. i doubt they put it up as breaking news!!! its just lighthearted piece of "journalism." Maybe it was just put up to make people laugh. I appreciated it amidst all the doom and gloom articles.

I see Bush's presence is still felt around the White House. I suggest Obama stay away from pretzels at least for a while 🙂

For the people saying it's not news, it sort of is. We should all be concerned about the health of our president, regardless of who that person happens to be.

As an unrelated point, this president seems to be in the news every day – visually. Can his people not 'lower' his profile a bit and allow business to proceed? Perhaps after the first 100 days this overcoverage will wear down a bit.

In a related story, today President Obama released the following statement.

"I find it shameful that manufacturers refuse to build proper doors, and, frankly, the American people deserve better. The blind race for profit in the door industry can not continue if it is at the expense of the heads of the American public. It is time for honest Change in this country, and the people aren't going to just stand by and allow this to continue."

    this is not news.

also, let alone read this, why would anyone in their right mind watch 30 seconds of commercials to then watch a 45 second clip of obama bumping his head.

does stuff like this really sell ads? this is mildly pathetic/nauseating.

    CNN:

This is the level of reporting we get from the most experienced political team in television?! I see a future at FAUX NEWS for a good percentage of your anchors and "ANALysts". Seems to me you've hired their rejects like Bill Bennett as one example.

I am sorry the President bumped his head but why aren't you reporters on the story of the people in rural Alaska who are hungry and have no food while Governor Palin is trying to find a way for the government to help. Maybe she could have the National Guard bring them food. That was hard to figure out wasn't it?

Perhaps it will knock some sense into his head. Imagine! We don't need new TSA uniforms in the "stimulus" package...or STD education, or money for ACORN. We need "stimulus" Mr. President, not "spendulous".

Eric R. Brown, I don't think it will be treated the same way because Obama has acted responsibly since he been in office and not like a nincompoop.

Holy crap...that's it? I hit my head harder when I lay down in bed at night. Seriously...this isn't news!

Perhaps it's time for budget cuts at CNN too...Time Warner stock price is down today and there seems to be too much time on someone's hands.

Nothing personal Obama, but I hope the bump was near the part of your head that thinks about the stimulus package. Maybe you'll give the money to the smart people that keep their jobs and pay their mortgages.

Holy Mackerel !!!!! Stop the presses!!! President Obama bumped his head on his helicopter door.....NTSB will look into the incident, and will determine if the helicopter should be dismantled and checked for structural damage...The President appeared to be uninjured. He will be examined by WH doctors for safety concerns......Weather does not appear to be a factor at the time of the accident....Now , that's the way to handle such important Presidential news....

But the story continues. It seems that "The One" has set a new trend for the Messiah's children. It is now required that you hit the side of your head when entering your vehicle as a show of good faith, support and understanding of the pain that "The One" endures for us.

Remember that we are one Obamanation
