It's so good to see Congress come together regardless of their political party affiliation and do what's right for America.

Right now it's to get this runaway inflation and unemployment under control!!!!

  2. obamawho?

It's not pork. really it's not.
It looks like it, smells like it and has every other characteristic of it, but Barack says it's not. So it's not pork. I promise. Truly I do...

    All stimulus = spending

    Not all spending = stimulus.

Wikipedia notes that 50 years of NASA budgets with the amount expressed in 2007 dollars adds up about $800 billion. NASA built lots of rockets, went to the moon many times, built and flies Space Shuttles, built the Space Station, and provided valuable "spinoffs" like the ball point pen (just kiddin).

Wonder if we'll get that kind of benefit from the $800+ billion bailout??

Kudos to all the Congressmen and women who voted for the stimulus package. America has hope again.

To those who voted against it, let us know who your opponent will be in 2010 and 2012.

Wonderful, I'm glad my tax money is going to pay for all the democrats pet projects. I don't see how anything in the stimulus bill will create a job for me. What a waste of money.

We ALL need to pray that this stimulus works, and the country's economy stabilizes. The partisanship demonstrated by Republicans in the House and Senate is shameful and treasonous!

Well, now I know what I'll be leaving my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren – the debt from this failure of a pork bill. Maybe if my kid knocks up some girl I can have them cross over into Mexico, then she could get an abortion (courtesy of the US taxpayers).

Isn't it amazing how many truly clueless dolts are posting on here praising Chairman Obama and the rest of the Komissars? I suspect if any of them actually worked for a living, and didn't sit at home collecting handouts already that they'd feel different. I'd say you all are dumber than rocks, but that would be insulting to rocks.

Will CNN be posting handy reference pages for where we can find our nearest bread line.

Who would've thought the US would become the largest socialist nation.

Thanks Obama, Dems, and you wimp Republicans who voted yes, you've screwed the country.

ha ha. That's just the beginning. Now NoBama wants another couple of trillion dollars to bail out banks (again!)

Another day, another trillion dollars. Don't worry. NO ONE's ever going to have to pay this money back. It won't ever be a drag on anything...whenever Barry wants, he'll just wish it away!

For a country that turns a blind eye to dropping 20 billion 'every month' for five years in Iraq, there certainly is a vocal group against helping our own country and people.

For the people who cannot comprehend the math and gravity of what is happening in our country and do not support the charge to save our country, may I say this: America, Love It Or Leave It.

We are in unprecendent waters, but I have faith that President Obama being a man of sound mind and above average intellect, will make the right decisions.
What is amazing and you will never hear the Republican admit it, but all of them were forced to engage themselves in something they never wanted to support in the first place.
If our new president continues to bridge the gap between the Democrats and Republicans we as a nation will be back on top.

    Congratulations President Obama

THE CONSERVATIVES CANNOT EVEN MAKE A GOOD ARGUMENT IN VIEW OF THE FAILURES OF THE ADMINISTRATION THEY WORSHIPED SO PROFUSELY. THEY HELPED OVERSPEND AND GET THE COUNTRY INTO THIS DOWNWARD SPIRAL. NOW THEY SAY OUR KIDS WILL PAY FOR THIS. THEIR KIDS WILL PAY FOR THE IRAQ WAR AS WELL. WIPE THE EGG OFF YOUR FACES REPUGS AND GET INVOLVED IN MOVING FORWARD.
THANK YOU GOD FOR THE THREE THOUGHTFUL,SECURE, RELEVANT REPUBLICANS IN THE SENATE.

Can anyone offer a better suggestion on what to do? and no one should say do nothing: unless you are one of the thousands, the millions losing there jobs. By doing nothing you are telling those people who lost their jobs tough luck, but we are not going to help you. Right now all we can do is hope that, even if we don't like it, hope that this will help, and I am sure this bill was not just made up without everyone considering the consequences. Have faith in our elected officials. And hope that they have our best interests at heart, and not their own.

Happy Days are here again. This president is so forthright and honest; I loved it last night when he really took time to answer questions.
    Go Mr. Obama.
The republicans forget, we could have done this without your votes (I'm not talking of Snow or Spector) but we were trying to do the bipartisan dance.....you folks have been laughing and jabbing about that all week.
John McCain has no financial astute level, he's just a blood sucking, scum bag who feasts on dreams.
