Palin won't be making CPAC appearance

Palin will not be attending this year’s CPAC, confirm organizers.
Palin will not be attending this year’s CPAC, confirm organizers.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin will not be attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington later this month, her office confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

The Alaska governor had been expected to serve as the headline attraction at the three day event, which is also scheduled to include conservative icons like Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, and Ann Coulter. The presidential straw poll conducted at the annual Washington gathering is widely viewed as a reliable bellwether of conservative support. Several of the GOP’s past - and potentially future - presidential hopefuls are also slated to address the gathering, including Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul.

Palin spokesman Bill McAllister did not give a reason for the governor's decision, but did agree with one organizer's explanation that it would be difficult for the governor to visit in the middle of the state’s legislative session.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate, who recently launched SarahPAC to assist conservative candidates and cultivate a national network of supporters, visited Washington late last month to attend the exclusive Alfalfa Club dinner and several private events.

    Macie,

What do you mean she wouldn't "hate talk"? That's all I heard her do during the last campaign!

Ex-Republican? You're a moron. And I pray that you feel like one after that post. /roll eyes. Leave Sarah's children out of your arguments, if you want to sound intelligent. Kthx.

  3. PALIN SUCKS

She's a neo-conservative. McCain's slogan was "Country First", Palin's is "God First". I don't want this country to turn into Israel. Seperation of Church and State. Against abortions, against gay marriage. She's the person that would benefit from joining the Constitution Party (A 3rd party with far-right views, basically the counterpart of Socialism)

She's pro-life yet she thinks shooting animals from a plane is fine. What a hypocritical b**ch. She has no resentments about taking others' rights away, but when it's her and her husbands, she gets offended. She and MANN Coulter should get hitched.

When will we wise up and get over this person. Have we not had enough of political mind games and brain washing, she is not qualified to be a candidate for any office higher then the one she currently holds and the more she is thrust into the spotlight by republicans the more it confirms the ideals that are a part of the current administration. WAKE UP AMERICA! let's not buy the "Joe Six Pack" bull any longer. It's about time that we starting thinking and not being led around by our noses. call her out for what she is...Unqualified!

Guess now that she has Sarah PAC, she needn't be concerned about those OTHER PAC's...too bad, really, that would have been a great thing to just put all those folks in a big box and ship them off somewhere very, very remote and very, very away from the rest of society.

This is a good move. Considering the line up, she probably wants to distance herself from the OxyRush and Ann the Stick.

You gotta love those Conserva-tards, they have their butts handed to them and they still march bullheaded to their failed ideology.

Obama is going to fix the economy in the next couple of months. He's also going to cure cancer and aids in the next three months..I don't know where we would be without President Obama!! The one thing I do know is that everything that goes right in the next four years will all be due to Obama but if anything goes wrong you can bet President Bush is to blame!!

If the Republicans choose Palin as their 2012 presidential candidate, the Republican party is finished.

She's a no show for many of the same reasons that Guiliani was a no show for Iowa and New Hampshire: she will get trounced in the straw poll. Mark this as the beginning of the end of the Palin phenomenon and the start of the beginning of the Romney revolution.

How could anyone possibly be a snob FOR Sarah Palin? That's like saying "the rest of you aren't smart enough to step in cow dung, like I am repeatedly. Repeatedly. "

"It is super smart to love cow dung."

  17. HOW IT IS

TO ALL YOU LIBERAL BASHERS....THE ENTIRE WORLD HAS BEEN DEALING WITH YOUR "JESUS ONLY LOVES US CHRISTIANS" POLITICS. YOU ELECTED A REPUBLICAN CONGRESS ( WHICH HAD TO BE FIXED IN 2006) AND EVEN WORSE, PUT THE VILLAGE IDIOT IN THE EXECUTIVE CHAIR. WE WATCHED YOUR POLICIES BE PUT INTO EFFECT AND WATCHED OUR BELOVED US of A DETERIORATE AND HAVE ITS ARMS CUT OFF FROM OUR DECADES LONG ALLIANCES BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO GIVIE A BIG "F-U" TO ANYBODY THAT DIDN'T QUITE AGREE WITH YOU....IT STOPPED ON JAN. 20 AND SO NOW ENJOY THE NEXT 8 YEARS OF INTELLIGENCE, PATIENCE, RATIONALISM AND PEACE-MAKING YOU'RE ABOUT TO WITNESS -JUST LIKE THE 8 YEARS OF MANIPULATION, FEAR, LIES AND HYPOCRISY WE SHAMEFULLY HAD TO SWALLOW.....I SAY 8 YEARS BECAUSE OBAMA WILL BE THERE FOR 8 YEARS. IT TAKES 8 YEARS OF FIXING TO COVER UP 8 YEARS OF BREAKING

    YESSSS!
Now if only the other 'conservative' idiots would stay home and do something productive for America just once in their lifetime, I would find peace. Deep in their protective trenches, they aim and fire at anyone who slightly disagrees with their twisted evil thoughts.
Buggers....... not intelligent nor honest leaders. These people are not what made America once a great nation, nor can their vomit restore it to greatness again.

    Macie,

If you think Palin is intelligent, you must have quit school in the fourth grade.

Palin should be on Jay Leno's JayWalking all stars. She would get the award for the most uninformed person ever to be on that show.

Palin's lack of intelligence and her inability to do any cognitive processing is frightening.

I am sure McCain thinks about how she lost the election for him every night before he goes to bed.
