WASHINGTON (CNN) - Famed entertainer Dolly Parton said Tuesday she thinks a woman would make a good president — but she wouldn’t.
"Somebody said to me, 'Well, you know what - you've got such a big mouth and you know how to talk to people, did you ever think about running for president?'” the country singer told an audience at the National Press Club. I said, 'I think we've had enough boobs in the White House, but hopefully [President] Obama ain't gonna be one of them.'"
Parton, who is in Washington to promote the 75th anniversary of Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains National Park, also joked a woman may be especially suited to show wrath against terrorist threats.
"Every 28 days, those terrorists better run deeper into them woods," she said, to laughter. "That's all I can say if we get a woman in there."

How can the democrats be sexist when Hillary garnered so many votes, especially among the democrats. DUH! Are you just plain stupid or are you one of those feminists that think a woman should be in power just because she's a woman (and not necessarily a smart woman).
As a woman, I'm all for women in corporate leadership and in politics; however, she has to be intelligent. Maybe if the republicans found an intelligent one in their party (not like Palin)), then they might have a chance.

Dolly was only making a joke in both of the comments cited in the article and both were taken out of context of her speech to the NPC. For those that questioned what Dolly has gone in her life, she was the founder of the Dollywood Foundation which lowered the dropout rate on high schools in her local communities. The foundation currently oversee's the Dolly Parton Imagination Library which operates nationally here in the U.S., in Canada, and Europe. The Imagination Library provides one book per month for children enrolled from birth to age five so that all children, regardless of their families household income, have books in their home which belong to them. Dolly's other business ventures employ thousands of people. I would say, she was done more than most people realize.

Hey, ease off on CNN this time. We all need a little laughter in our lives, and Dolly is one who knows how to give it. As for the Obama insults, I think that Dolly's "boob" comments apply as well to many in this country...at least 45-percent of them.
Let's see...Dolly Parton makes a comment about how women's menstrual cycles would benefit the U.S. in our fighting terrorism and people are more focused on her boobs and misconstrue her comment to be about Obama being a boob. This country is in real trouble.

Did you folks even read this story? Dolly said "There have been enough boobs in the White House already", meaning George W. Bush! She said she DOESN'T think Obama will be a boob. And she is an incredible woman with a truly inspiring life and story.

A response to the previous article. l live in PA and l will make sure that our senator Arlen Specter get re-elected. He is an honest man and we do love him. l would love for the conservative groups to have someone else running against him in primary. It will not be close. After sitting with other side and working on an agreement, l respect him more.
She did not call Pres Obama a boob, and I am sure he will take it all in good sport. She is stating what all of us Rep and Dems alike no more GOOF BALLS/BOOBS that we must deal with for 4 or 8 years!
