Obama to Denver and Phoenix next week

WASHINGTON (CNN) – President Barack Obama will continue his tour around the country to push his economy recovery plan, making stops in Colorado and Arizona next week, the White House announced Friday.

Obama will travel to Denver on Tuesday to discuss his economic stimulus package. The president will spend Tuesday night in Arizona and will visit Phoenix on Wednesday, where he will deliver a speech and outline his plan to decrease home foreclosures.

Obama traveled to areas hit hard by the economic downturn this past week, holding town hall meetings in Elkhart, Indiana and Fort Myers, Florida. He met with workers at a Caterpillar plant in Peoria, Illinois on Thursday, after the company announced 22,000 layoffs.

Obama seems to be avoiding Washington while he continues his campaign style obfuscating sales talk! :(

The Market knows this obscene Pelosi pet project spending spree Obama has owned won't be successful! And it certainly won't help the democrats in 2010 and 2012!

Wisdom, not winging it, would help!

Why is he planning on traveling next week to push this bill when it is supposed to be approved by the House & Senate today? What a waste of taxpayer money.

What a great way to use his office, not by taking Air Force One to vacation after vacation as the last lousy president did with his time. No! This guy is taking the presidential aircraft all around the country to strategic locations to sell his efforts ON SAVING THIS GREAT COUNTRY! Maybe the stimulus plan is the next great way for people to begin saving toward that next great opportunity for the Republicans again to begin stealing their wealth as in previous episodes like the Savings&Loan debacle and now the housing bubble during the Bush administration! Obama is going to be a great president because he knows how to use his office most effectively, not unlike the last guy who couldn't read a CIA bulletin while on another vacation! Probably why people are losing out in his cabinet because they can't keep up with him at all! What a great president to have!

Interesting, we're being told that this is the worst crisis since the Depression (ok...so the recession in the early 80's was worse by every measure...but that would get in the way of the Obama fear machine), yet Obama's jetting all over the country in AF1 like he's campaigning. I'm sure it's not cheap for him to do this.

Obama needs to get out of the "campaign mode" and engage the Clint Eastwood mode--the charm approach is not what the American public is looking for--they are looking for action and solutions-the economy is hemmorhaging--along with the people.

Hey, Dude, you won. No need to sell this crock to the gullible public if you could pull it over the eyes of Congress.

At least NOW America has a "leader" who cares about everyone not just "money-horders" of Wall Street. It will take a while but President Obama it is SAD that you have to make visits like this around the U.S. when you could be spending time working on the other zillion problems this country faces.

Senator Obama – Congress approved the bill. The Senate may vote this afternoon or tomorrow and you know the crackheads over there will approve it. Just sign the stupid thing on Monday and save us a few bucks on jet fuel. I need that $800 bucks soon since I'm losing my job on 2/27.

    @ jon & lin,

i rather have a president that speaks directly to the american people and hear from their own mouths than stay in a bubble in washington with a bunch of "yes men" telling him whut they feel that he wants to hear.

it's congress job to put this into action. it's the president's job to make sure congress put things into action and that's exactly whtu he's doing. whut can obama DO sitting at the white house? he NEEDS to continue going cross country and hear directly from the american people

Obama should stay in Washington. We don't need him spending money to fly around the country. Just go on TV and talk with the whole country.

I am sick of Democrates meaning so nasty. I am ashamed of be one. We are all Americans. We all have freedom of speach and are entitled to our own opinions.

I am not for this stimilus bill because of all the extras that were not needed in it. But, that is my opinion and I respect your opinion that you agree with it. Your nasty views of people that don't agree with you or Obama is what is going to split this country.

  24. question

how many times has he taken airforceone out.....i bet it is not cheap to fly that thing....and the demos where complaining about the auto executives private planes and poor citi group, they had to give up their new jet...he should give up the perk and maybe we could get a little bit more than $13.00 extra in our paycheck....

He is really helping global warming using a jet the size of Air Force One to fly around the country to do more campaigning.

Do what you are good at and stick to it.

I guess he is because he is good at speaking well to a crowd of his supporters. (his supporters are the ones that are dying to see him in these cities( why wouldn't they be the ones that would kill to see him))

I just wish he wouldn't do it on OUR DIME.

How much money does it cost him each time he fly's on Air Force One???? I bet there are some familys that could use that money better. The campaign is over you can stop now. LEAD OUR COUNTRY STOP FEEDING YOUR VANITY.

It doesn't count to convince your supporters.

I guess he never heard of a live video feed!!!!! He is supposed to be a high tech guy.

This is the 21st century you don't have to be in the same room to address a group of people. (high speed secure video feed + video projector + large screen = MONEY SAVED FOR THE NATION >>> LESS WASTE

(don't the rules apply to him)

    TYPICAL
