Obama to Denver and Phoenix next week

WASHINGTON (CNN) – President Barack Obama will continue his tour around the country to push his economy recovery plan, making stops in Colorado and Arizona next week, the White House announced Friday.

Obama will travel to Denver on Tuesday to discuss his economic stimulus package. The president will spend Tuesday night in Arizona and will visit Phoenix on Wednesday, where he will deliver a speech and outline his plan to decrease home foreclosures.

Obama traveled to areas hit hard by the economic downturn this past week, holding town hall meetings in Elkhart, Indiana and Fort Myers, Florida. He met with workers at a Caterpillar plant in Peoria, Illinois on Thursday, after the company announced 22,000 layoffs.

Lin @ 348: I'm sure you complained when bush set the record for the most presidential vacation.

If he stayed in Washington, you'd complain that he "was out of touch"

How does it feel belonging to the party of obstruction?

It's mindboggling that the Republicans don't see their careers flashing before their eyes right now.

Obama Supporter – Sen. Obama would not need to make the sales pitch IF HE HAD A GOOD PLAN. He would have had more support from the Repubs IF HE HAD A GOOD PLAN. He knows his plan is crap and that's why he's out on the road selling this junk.

Someone needs to tell Bambi that the election is over and he won... oh wait, this is all he knows to do. He has no experience, just a speech so I guess he'll just stick with that and let everyone else take care of the problems.
He will be thrown out of office before the 4 years is up. He is a fraud and a socialist. People are going to march to Washington and take back the white house from this imposter.

i am so sick of hearing dems using Rush's name all the time i don't listen to the man and he is for entertainment. Maybe some of you liberals could sit back and listen to Rush for a show or two but then he might make you think outside your box and god forbid a liberal would do that. I am an independent but the republicans are right about this bill and we will pay for it very soon.

Let him get out and around the people and see what's really going on! I'm GLAD my tax payer dollars are spent on him actually getting around America and seeing real Americans! What would you rather have? A bubble president completely disconnected from the goings on of the country? Sorry, we already had 8 years of that.

Hey Obama! How about visiting the state hit hardest by this recession/depression: CALIFORNIA?

We vote solid blue every time nationally, but remember that 1 in 6 Americans is a Californian. And 1 in 8 Californians is out of a job.

Dude, you live in NY ..... get real.

You JUST found out about the kidnapping because you saw ' Nightline' ... good for you. Why this has anythinig to do with Obama going to Phoenix .... can't figure it out.

If I were you , I won't worry about being kidnap by mexican drug lords .... unless you have something to 'hide'?

I live a few miles from 5 borders!!! We hear the news every SINGLE day about kidnappings and killings ..... yet we are not scare.
The worst thing that can happen to you might be being kidnap by the ' kidnap express'. They only hold you for a few hours, clean out your account and left you go.

Hey Jon in CA , I bet you have a Job, I bet you dont have to collect unemployment and worry about feding your family, and neither does any republican senator who voted against this bill, They dont care about the American People, At lest not the ones suffering right now. I dont Care how much money is spent on this bill as loing as it gets the Job done...... Everybody who's against this bill clearly doesnt have to worry about how to feed a family and how to get a Job.

If the Bill doesn't work , at least Obama tried and showed his cincern for the American People and shows that he understands how much we are suffering right now at leat he tried to help, unlike republicans who have tried to stop the help all the way through

If what the repubs did with cutting taxes did not work under Bush, why do the same thing? If a football team keeps running the same play and the defense keeps stoping them, as the coach do you think you should do something different instead of runnig the same old play.

When is this guy going to stop campaigning and start leading?

(I know. The former is a lot more fun than the latter, but America doesn't need a perpetual candidate. It needs a President.)

Republicans, it is okay that you don't support the Obama agenda. After all, you probably didn't vote for him anyway. That is okay, this is a free country – a democracy. But, the economy is infact in need of some real help. Most reasonable people will atleast agree. Just stay out of his way and don't obstruct. If he fails, then he probably will not be re-elected. Just give him a chance, all of America have a stake in his sucess. Just think about it.

what did anyone expect– he was absent when he was in the Senate, this he wants the American people to know he is thinking of us, is a bunch of crap. If he wants to show me he is thinking of us then he needs to get his ### back to Washington. Oh wait if he did that then he would be held accountable and Lord knows we do not want that to happen.

I think people have forgotten he's working for us, he needs to be in direct contact with us so we (including him) can all stay in touch with reality. It may not have effected some us directly, but it's obvious from these comments that nobody knows the true dynamics of the situation. I'm not pretending to either, but he's been in office less then a month and he's doing more then a President has in years. Nobody can question his conviction to get something done. His campaign is witness to that. He believe in this plan and it's a nice change of pace to know a President has the conviction to follow through with something and takes complete responsiblity for whatever the outcome may be. If he fails, revel in it then.
