McCain blacklists The View?

The view co-hosts grilled McCain in September.

(CNN) – Sen. John McCain just may have blacklisted the hit talk-show The View after a heated, somewhat confrontational, appearance on the program last September.

According to Barbara Walters, the show's creator and co-host, McCain told her at a recent Washington event he won't be appearing on the daily gabfest "any time soon."

"He had been on The View and was not very happy," Walters told a gathering at Syracuse University, according to Portfolio.com. "And when we walked out and I saw him I said, 'Senator, so nice to see you. I hope you'll come on The View again.' And he looked at me and said, 'Not anytime soon.'”

Appearing on the program at the height of his campaign for the White House, McCain was aggressively pressed on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's qualifications to be vice president, as well as negative campaign ads that several independent fact-checks had called downright misleading.

Walters specifically challenged Palin's reformist credentials, noting McCain has served in Washington for more than two decades and asking repeatedly, "Who's she going to reform, you?"

The Arizona senator is not the only member of the family who may have sour feelings toward the show. McCain's wife Cindy, after a contentious fall appearance of her own, declared that the co-hosts "picked our bones clean."

McCain's a baby. If he couldn't take tough questions from Barbara Walters of all people, he had no business running for president in the first place.

As Hillary would say, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Whining isn't going to get you anywhere. McCain needs to move on and stop dwelling on his failed campaign.

If McCain cannot take a little toughness from four women, how did he think he could run a country? What would he do? At the first comment fired by another nation that "picked" on him, would he go sulk in the corner and refuse to talk to them? Thank God he did not win!!

Well, I blacklisted The View about 4 minutes after the pilot aired. How is this news? They invited him on only to slam him. If it were me, I wouldn't go back on that show either.

Oh darn, and I was so looking forward to hearing McCain talk some more about tax cuts. Put John McCain back on that show and I guarantee The View's lowest ratings of the season. No one cares.

Being confronted with the truth about his pick for VP and his focus on negative campaigns must have hit close to home for him to be so upset and angry. Pity McCain is such a poor loser.

It really shouldn't be this easy, but it is when it comes to laughing at Republicans.

LOL @ Ol' Cranky Pants McCain!

He can't even handle a soft morning talk show with Barbara Walters. How on Earth could he handle being president? Good thing he lost.

John McCain is just another racist. He does not care about blacks. All the white republicans are racist. And they show it. They only pretend to like blacks only when it's election time. After that few months of fame, then it's on again where you stay on your side and I'll stay on mine.

Kind of like Teddy Kennedy appearing on the Rush Limbaugh program only a lot less hospitable and courteous.

Thank goodness McCain doesn't want to appear – NO ONE wants to hear from him anymore! McCain should just sell all of his houses and move to Alaska up there with Palin ;)

Good for McCain & Palin. "The View" is not "The" view it is "Their' view ONLY or you can take the highway. I hope Their show goes off the air.; It's just a bunch of women that doesn't have the courtesy to listen to the other women as they are constantly interrupting each other.

I quit watching a longggggg time ago.

Republicans tend to not go on shows where lying and pandering is exposed........

The View might not be too bad if you got rid of Joy, Whoopi, Barbara, Elizabeth and Sherri. But Oh, then there'd be no one left. Then it would be a really good show.

  23. Big bad Baba Wawa

If a question from Baba Wawa is too scary for McCain, he doesn't deserve to be president – or to be re-elected to the Senate for that matter.

If people on a talk show can "pick your bones clean" maybe you shouldn't be President.

I don't blame him or anyone else that declines to go on The View. I lost all respect for Barbara Walters when she JUST SAT THERE while Rosie was doing her "Ching-Chong" bit! What a bunch of hypocritic vultures!
