Palin says in a new documentary that the media set out to destroy her.
Palin says in a new documentary that the media set out to destroy her.

(CNN) - The mainstream media made it a mission to destroy the vice presidential candidacy of Sarah Palin, the Alaska governor says in a new documentary released Monday.

In an interview taped last month for conservative John Zeigler's new film "Media Malpractice," Palin said it is "very frightening, I think, what the media was able to get away with, this go-around.”

"’We are going to seek and we are going to destroy this candidacy of Sarah Palin’s because of what it is that she represents,’" the former vice presidential candidate described as the attitude members of the press adopted.

The movie, available on DVD for the first time Monday, chronicles press coverage of both Democratic primary campaign and the general election, and concludes the media was clearly biased in favor of Barack Obama.

“This is for the sake of our democracy that there is fairness in this other branch of government, if you will, called the media,” Palin also says in the interview filmed in January. “It is foreign to me the way some in the mainstream media are thinking.”

Oh Sarah, Grow Up!!! All you are trying to do is make sure your name is in the media on a regular basis.. You truly have delusions of grandeur.

If the media had let John McCain get away with picking Palin as VP and NOT called it into major question, then we'd have a problem.

Palin as VP pick was the absolute WORST choice in history.

Also, if Palin has aspirations to be president, she needs to shut up for a while. She is becoming an absolute joke. (even moreso than during the election)

Backstreets   February 23rd, 2009 1:07 pm ET

Sarah opened her mouth. Closed case. She did herself in. If she thinks she was going to get all easy questions (which many were, like 'what do you read?") she was TOO naive to hold any office. And if she thinks we have or should have a 'in your pocket' Press that only coddles you then she needs to read the US Constitution.

Oh, and to the jerk who wrote this DVD and book: Does your book cover or will you next one cover the trashing, falsehoods, and down right lies the "RIGHT" leaning Press (and radio) spew out 24/7, not just during the campaign? The problem with you is that you too are one sided; IF there is malpractice then show it everywhere and if you can't see it, well, then you too are just as biased..and slanted. Good Day.

All the same dems now griping about Palin's allegations of media bias are all the same dems who were griping that the media was bias against Hillary Clinton – you can't have it both way folks/

Palin will do anything to keep her name in front of people

Kimmi   February 23rd, 2009 1:07 pm ET

OMG, poor Sexy Sara. Had to be the media ruining her. Maybe someone should buy this bitch a mirror or a tape of her and her freeloading family. Wonder if her new grandbaby is on welfare yet????

She's absolutely right! Of course, all of you commenting here are madly in love with the media outlets like the Communist News Network. What ever happened to OBJECTIVE JOURNALISM? The "News" should be neutral, and allow me to form my own opinion. Media outlets today push THEIR point of view & call you stupid if you disagree.

Linda   February 23rd, 2009 1:07 pm ET

To the contrary. It was my perception that initially and until Palin repetitively demonstrated her ignorance regarding foreign policy, lack of sufficient experience to assume responsibility for a heart beat away from the presidency, and manipulative authoritarian methods of governing in Alaska, that the media actually ignored and avoided addressing her inexperience and engaged in an attempt to support a dangereous candidate by acting as if one should seriously consider that she may be capable of assuming such responsibilities. It was frightening, at first, that the media was reluctant and fearful of calling a spade a spade. It was like playing the "emporers new clothes." Initially, out of an attempt to provide respect for her, the media led the public down a path of believing that this candidate could, in fact, legitimately claim sufficient experience and responsibility to be the president of the U.S. it was frightening.

Gina   February 23rd, 2009 1:07 pm ET

Where is her dignity? Palin should take a lesson from John McCain, who at least lost gracefully. I suppose the difference is that McCain's career is nearing its end, and she still sees herself as a future senator or talk show host (surely she can't be so delusional as to think that she will ever be elected to a national office at this point).

Robbiw   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

No, her loss has absolutely nothing to do with vacuous qualifications, sharply divisive rhetoric, and a propensity to wear hypocrisy on her sleeve. It was the gee-golly-gotcha media.

Gary   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

It is about time someone exposed the liberal media for their actions and who they really are. This is the same bunch who tried in 2004 to get Kerry elected by digging up dirt on President Bush's military service. This unethical journalism cost Dan Rather his job at CBS.

Anyone who believes that the liberal media in this country will not try to sway an election towards the Democ(rats) by any means is a complete and total MORON!

LIBERALS ARE LIARS, CHEATS AND UNWORTHY TO BE TRUSTED!

DEFEND AMERICA; DEFEAT DEMOC(RATS)!

Amanda   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

All these conservative gets so huffy puffy about the "liberal media", they have Fox News, get over it! If Palin were prepared to be Vice-President, she would have done fine in the media, but she wasn't and she failed, let's move on.

Felly   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

This woman is crazy. How can a person who called a fellow American a terrorist now claims that the media is out to destroy her? If she and McCain had won the election, would she be making the same statement and whinning? She destroyed her self because she was not ready for prime time. Her choice of language and grammatical expressions are terrible. " I go find the information and come back and give it to ya" If I were her, I would go back to school to get more education and be better prepared for future challenges.

Once you vote Black   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

She forgets that she was on a Slam Obama mission. She is just upset that her brand of mud did not stick. Perhaps if she know how to conjugate a verb, or did not leave her modifiers dangling her other flaws would not have stuck out so much. Her mistakes were magnified by her mistakes which brought together the perfect storm of negative media for her.

Alaskim   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

Oh please. Look at yourself in the mirror, Governor, and take some responsiblity for your own actions. You need to be accountable for the words that come out of your mouth....or those that don't.

What Palin seems to fail to understand that her campaigning to divide America, her hate, anger, lies, ego trips, lack of integrity and intelligence are what did her in, not the media.
Typical republican. Blame everyone else and ignore where the truth lies.

Ever wonder why Sarah always ends up on the CNN ticker for comments to be posted? We never see obama adminstration issues on the ticker, why is that CNN?

Seen on a bumper sticker – "I'd rather be hunting with Sarah Palin than being a passenger with Ted Kennedy"

Priceless!!!!!

The media and the people love you Sarah!

phyllicia   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

“It is foreign to me the way some in the mainstream media are thinking.” I think that there are and were so many other issues in which she was clueless and was then the downfall of McCain's campaign. He played the gender game to try to trump the minority and it failed terribly.

Mitch   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

It is typical of the right wing radicals that they can't take blame for their own actions. The so called main stream media didn't need to do anything to destroy her, she has done a fine job of that all on her own. Any one who fairly reports her actual words an actions is apparently out to get there. As Harry Truman said so well "If you can't stand the heat get our of the kitchen".

Governor Palin and then-Senator Obama were both under extremely intense scrutiny. The difference is that she screwed up; he didn't. In interview after interview, she came off as, at best, unknowledgeable and unqualified; at worst, a moron. Her public image was no one's fault but her own.

Obama was under as much scrutiny as Palin was, and for a much longer time. He stumbled a couple of times, but overall he prevailed. Conservatives, for all their talk about personal responsibility, seem to always be very quick to point fingers at others when they fail.

CF   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

The republican MO seems to be: Blame the media for reporting on someone in the party doing or saying stupid things, instead of blaming the person who did or said the stupid things.

"The Media" has become such a scapegoat for the GOP that Republicans are able to get away with anything, and as long as they blame the media all their fellow Repubs automatically take their side and make the media the enemy without question. Shameful.

Matt   February 23rd, 2009 1:06 pm ET

If the media was against Palin they would stop covering her. She has shrewdly managed to stay front and center. If she can keep the media in her pocket she will be a force during midterms and set for 2012. Right now the media seems to be her best friend.

C'mon on CNN, this documentary isn't just about Palin. I've seen a few stories about this movie today and every one of lthem only focus on the Palin interview. Do you think the media would really focus on the fact they were bias in their coverage of one candidate throughout the primaries and general?

Joe   February 23rd, 2009 1:05 pm ET

Perhaps the media was just reflecting the attitude of the majority of Americans who felt very firmly that Sarah Palin was unqualified for the office of Vice President. Their job is to ask questions, not give her a platform to say whatever she wants.

ultrasubharmonica   February 23rd, 2009 1:05 pm ET

Give me and the rest of the country a break, please. The media didn't have to paint a picture of who she was or what she stood for-she did that herself in a few interviews. Does anyone remember how she didn't speak to the media or give one interview after her nomination? Did you ever wonder why? Why McCain's strategists kept her under wraps so to speak? (no pun intended) They tried to head off the storm that was to come because they knew what would happen once she started attempting to answer any substantive questions. Well, at least she has some time to start reading all the newspapers she couldn't remember reading before, study some geography and think about woulda-coulda-and shoulda.

REALLY? The media did not form my opinion of you, Sarah. YOU did it all by yourself by the way you answered (or should I say, did NOT answer) questions that any candidate seeking such a powerful office should be able to answer. YOU DID THIS. If you weren't reading from cue cards, you sounded horribly inept and woefully uniformed. Katie Couric was not "after you". She asked fair questions in a professional manner, as she always does. You did not know the answers. PERIOD. Don't blame anyone else, unless you happen to be looking in the mirror while you're doing it.

To prove how much america needs an overhaul in education......

At the RNC, she and others declared herself an EXPERT in Energy, which was later changed to and EXPERT in Energy Security.

If you didn't know right when she said that, and certainly after hearing her credentials, that REAL ENERGY EXPERTS have PhDs and Masters in physics in chemistry, because energy is straight up a physics and chemistry issue, then you are part of the problem in America.

I am not lying, you should have know this was straight up nonsense, yet everyone wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt? Like the republicans give the stimulus bill the benefit of the doubt?

REALLY need to pick up on science here, folks. WAY behind. Half asian guy out....

What is very frightening is that there is a large segment of the population that truly think the (limited) questions posed to Palin during the campaign were out of line and they truly believe other candidates were not treated so "badly". Let Palin sit thru a day in the Clinton or Obama camp - she would really be crying. This woman needs to grow a set if she plans for a 2012 run!!!

Yes, I suppose using logic and reason would be foreign to you Palin.

Funny, I thought the media under-reported how blatantly unqualified she was.

DEM in HI   February 23rd, 2009 1:04 pm ET

Amazing how Obama supporters get their silly comments posted all the time. She and others are absolutely correct in that the news media went over the top during the last election. The news media promoted Obama even when there was evidence of his wrong doing in purchasing his Chicago home, his ties to lobbyists, and his famous pastor. Now the news media now trying to compare Obama to FDR and Lincoln. Everyone knows the news media went over the top and the SNL skit is very close to about how they treated Clinton during the debates. Then they went over the top on Palin about her family, the dumb trooper brother -law who tassered his step son – really worth standing up for, and stating how she should remain home and take care of her children.
However, I do wish everyone the best and pray we all can work together to overcome the greatest challenge since the 1930's, That would also mean that the news media present the facts and drop the melodrama. That would be change I think we all could appreciate and enjoy.

It wasn't the media, it was that Gov. Palin committed political suicide. She came out as the super-reformer and take control, take it to Washington type, but couldn't answer the easiest of questions, or answer any follow-up questions to her sweeping generalized statements. Not to mention the hate rallys that she and Mrs. McCain were holding. This combination of vitriol and complete ignorance is what turned many people away from Gov. Palin.

I suggest also viewing the documentary done by Alexandra Pelosi during the general campaign that shows the right-wing wack jobs who attended the rally's. These are the crazies who think Obama is a Muslim and not born in the USA. There are even some in the piece who say he is the anti-christ. These are the crazies who "love" Palin. Fortunately for the country, there are not as many of these wackos as there were when Bush was elected. Palin is narcissistic by definition and a right-wing religious nut job. I know, I have relatives who are just like her. Very, very unrealistic, tainted people who have no concept of the idea of free will. So go ahead a watch the new documentary of Sarah being Sarah. But also watch Alexandra's piece. Eye opening to say the least. I for one am more than pleased that America has woken up and this woman and the old geezer did not gain the White House.

Joel   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

This crap only serves to disenfranchise her from even more people ( if that is possible). This has strayed from being an issue on democrat or republican to just plain ridiculous. Sarah, please just be quite for a few years. Maybe by then you will have matured enough to be taken seriously ...maybe.

Tom   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

Sarah, your 15 minutes of fame expired months ago....enough already! Was it the "horrible, left-wing biased media" that had no clue as to the responsibilities of the Vice President? You betcha!

BW   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

She's back because of CNN...and they know you liberals will come out in swarms to continually beat her up. You better concern yourself with the Hillary/Obama relationship that is heating up. Let's see some excellence in Journalism on that topic, shall we. If Palin is of no importance, quit commenting. Liberals just hate the fact that what she is saying is accurate.

Just another wounded veteran   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

Please stop giving this woman airtime. Besides what did she stand for? She only read from a script so I have no clue and I'm a Republican.

Anonymous   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

Wow. Is she that stupid that she (they) don't realize that she, Sarah Palin, was the master of her own fate?
You cannot enter a battle of wits unarmed. You will be led to the slaughter.

Venia   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

So the fact that she continually lied on Obama, smeared him, went wayyyy negative in the campaign has nothing to do with her losing???? Goes to show you , none of us can escape our KARMA.

Michael   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

Gimmeabreak! For a woman who didn't release either her tax/income or health info until the very last minute and refused to take questions from the press for weeks, she deserved it. I know that, as a Democrat, I would never have even been able to attend one of her gatherings in my area. How was I to get any truthful answers from her? Just look at what her daughter is saying now about abortion. If mom can't convince her own kids about abstinence, how can she, as VP, convince all of teenage America, many of whom are NOT the children of conservative-leaning parents, that we should spend millions of dollars on unrealistic policies?

There are many, many issues that the press didn't follow up on, but should have.

Brian   February 23rd, 2009 1:03 pm ET

I do not care for Palin, but she is right about the media. I seriously doubt, however, that she would be bringing it up had it served her. Don't trust the media...they have their own agenda.

cmc   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

surely it couldn't have been her dialogue? This woman had a mean streak a mile wide, and win at no cost attitude. People see what they want, some will believe what is put before them, some "think", in my opinion this woman is and was dangerous, her thinking is so backwords, it's scary. Until she figures it out that she did this to herself, this kind of blame game will continue.

Anonymous   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

POOR SARAH...For the first time a white person has come out and say the media was for a black man and against a white woman. Good job Sarah. I am proud that Barack is the first black man to publicly trashed a white woman and won't go to jail. Sarah is time that you stay in A LAS KA and get on with you daily lives. We do not care what you think. Barack is in for eight years. Deal with it!!! stop whinning!

Mary Sanders   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

The response to how Palin lost bear her lack of understanding of why she lost (seeing Russia from your window does not in any way make you an expert on anything, never mind the critical role of being a foreign affairs expert), why she is not liked (reminding people that Pres. Obama was palling with a terrorist when her husband belongs to an organization that wants to secede from the U.S.). These kinds of visions is what we see Palin represent.

Get it over it and take resposiblity.

Irma in North Carolina   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Sarah the media didnt destroy you you destroyed your self by the way you conducted your self druing the campaign. You did not come across very good to the public. The you betcha thing is not to professional. Also the hate rallys you had and neither you or Mccain tryed to stop this. And to think that the vp canidate was supposed to give a concession speech. Where are from anyway. Mccain gave a very good speech and at that time he did have control over his crowd. You and John thought you guys would win the election with hate rallys and bashing that John did but the american people showed you two different. Now you and the republicans especially the ones in D C are trying to do everything they can in their power to work against the president. The american people will remember this when you are out there running in 2012. By that time there wont be enough republicans left to vote any of you in. I for one have quit the party mainly because of you and how the ones in D C are conducting themselves.

Jon Davis   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Palin is an idiot trying to schmooze her into power by branding her ignorance and her stupidity as "conservatism".

I can see Canada from my house!   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

WHY?

john   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Why can't she learn something from that ? she needs to go back in school and learn more about Geography & History. Thanks God McSame lost because she could be a JOKE around the world.

TTG   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

I love how she hates the media, except when it's time to use them in an effort to stay relevant, by constantly complaining about . . . the media! The sad part is, you just KNOW she's too dumb to even see the irony. (Though she CAN see Russia from her house!)

Marcy   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

No one destroyed Palin's candidacy but Palin herself. Americans want competent candidates and everytime she opened her mouth she proved not to be... and so it continues.

Ron K   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

I was wondering if Governor Palin is in denial about her VP loss. Does she understand that it wasn't the media that clobbered her. Rather it was the republican party. All of the Bush blunders. Does she understand that John McCain did not represent a platform for change. Governor Palin has to understand that what happened over the past eight years to America is criminal. So it wasn't the media that destroyed her chances. She need to get her facts straight.

Ron San Deigo

Bruce Munro   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

If she cannot take the heat, she should get out of the kitchen. She was the weakest of all the possible candidates McCain could have picked. Was the media supposed to give her a free pass?

h   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

It's all about you always.

Elizabeth   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

So, let's recap: a conservative AM radio mouthpiece has concluded that the media was biased in favor of Obama, I am shocked beyond words! What will these conservatives think of next? How about the conservative policies that wrecked our economy, drove us into a useless war, and devasted our Constitution? Naw, Conservatives do not accept responsibility, they deny, delay and then do nothing. As for Sarah, please either figure out how to put a sentence together from beginning to end or go away. I prefer she go away.

jeff morrison   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Who cares! Stop reporting about the gross miscalculation by Republicans...

Tucker   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Funny – when she came out and did her speech at the Republican convention, she was a media darling. Once the media caught on that she was all style and no substance, it became the media's fault. Seriously Palin, it's not the media and it has nothing to do with your beliefs (seriously). It's you and your absolute inability to hold an intelligent conversation with ANYONE that caused you to be turned into a clown. The media had nothing to do with it.

If you truly want to run for President in 2012, you have to stop blaming the media and start accepting the truth. Maybe you should get out there and travel and really get to know what's going on in the world so that when the media asks you those "unfair" questions about how you would handle situations, you might be able to come back with an intelligent answer.

Talia   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Good Lord! Will she just go away!

MirCat   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Her views are extreme compared to most of the public. Of course the media are going to criticize her. She did not present herself well after the GOP nomination...and that is her fault.

Linda of Michigan   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

As a life long Republican, I can honestly say that voting for Obama was the hardest thing I have ever done. Would I do it again? Absolutly. The chance of having this ridiculous person one step away from running the our country made me shudder. Her Andy Griffin delivery and lack of intellegent follow through did her in.

Dave S.   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Poor Sarah;
How should the media react when she doesn't know what the job of the VP is? Also "palling with terrorists", etc. is so low that only Rove (& the GOP sum-bags) could have thought up. Besides only the "wackos" like the thought of Sarah a heart-beat away from the Presidency, Stay is Alaska.

ben   February 23rd, 2009 1:02 pm ET

Hey CNN? Why not cover some real relevant news instead of of the mumbles of a moronic failed VP candidate? is that too much to ask of our supposed 'free-press' ?

No one cares about Palin, the only thing that concerns me about her treatment by the media is why none of you had the guts to tell america that this women was pathetically unqualified and an all around buffoon.

Angela   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

This is another sign that she would have made a terrible vice president. Immature thinking, inability to own up to her own faults, and a superb excuse maker. How pitiful of you, Sarah! You lost four months ago and everyone knows the TRUE reason why!

Mary Kay   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Stop with the Pa(l)in stories. Everytime she isn't in the news for a day – she brings up "the mainstream media." Does this include FOX? Can she name the mainstream media that supposedly keeps hounding her about her son's parentage? Seems like she can't – because she is making it up. The media wasn't based toward Obama – THE VOTERS WERE!!!

Jeff   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

She is absolutely right. If the main stream media including CNN had vetted Obama as thoroughly as Palin, he would never have been elected. As soon as the MSM saw how Palin rivaled Obama in newness, popularity and interest they went into full attack mode and destroyed her while protecting and cheerleading for Obama. Just look at all independent studies on the election and you will see a media totally biased favorably to Obama.

LIP   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Win or lose, facts are facts and it is no surprise that there exists a predigious media. Everyone knows and talks openly about it. Not only did they trash Sarah Palin, but likewise Hillary Clinton. Palin is rigtht when she says the Media is like another branch of government, and it is one we don't need. There is a lot to be said for censorship or at least some kind of oversight or transparency in how they behave.

deanna vandall   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

the media had nothing to do with her destruction, she has that glory all for herself. she doesn't need any help from anyone. why doesn't she go hunting for a mature male grissley with a pocket knife, at least make it fair since the bear would not know hes in the sport. i would love the day she would be eaten alive by a grissley.

Roy   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Of course it was the media..it coune NEVER be Sarah's fault...is could never have been:
-The Katie Couric interview where Palin could not answer simple questions.
-The VP debates where 'You Betcha' became a buzz word
-The Troopergate scandal where Palin refused to cooperate with the official investigation
-The refusal to release any medical records like the other candidates
-The questioning of her own Party's running of the campaign

Sarah Palin is the kind of leader WE DON'T NEED......one that is 'frightened and confused' by any viewpoint that does not agree with her own narrow-minded world view. Sarah, I seem to recall the media questioning the activities of all the other candidates......too bad the blinders you wear don;t let you see that.

PE   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Was she running for President or John McCain? Poor Sarah.....

Monte   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

I know; it's absolutely horrible that the media attacked her character when the one they really should have gone after was the guy who pals around with a domestic terrorist. C'mon lady. Just go away....forever.
Being a mindless prop for 3 months should do it for ya.

John   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

It is sad to see how vicious we can be toward another American just because we don't agree with their stance. It is one thing to disagree, shame on those who spew hate

Aaron   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Liberal Media: Long live Ann Coulter. She is always right!

Mark Dover, Delaware   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Yeah, the mainstream media destroyed her when they asked her legitimate basic questions and she was unable to answer them.

Sniffit   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

GOP: we hate handouts...blah blah blah self determination...stop blaming everyone else....hard work aned elbow grease! It's everyone else's fault when we fail!!

Kurt   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

It amazes this woman still gets a reporter to talk to her. I am appalled it actually made it to a dvd – not very "green" of her. She is sort of acting like a typical celebutard in hopes of keeping their fame in the public eye. Why she can't admit it was totally fair coverage and it is not the media's fault she is a shady, underhanded, idiot I will never know. I have never in my life heard an interview of the 2nd highest position in this country become such a joke. How do you not know any Supreme court cases? Hell, not even know any media sources you read on a daily basis to keep up? Wake up Palin, you are the idiot, not media.

Gloria   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Palin just cannot admit that her own stupidity was her downfall. She is a pathetic individual.

Reid Jones   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Sara Palin, please go away. I am sick of listening to you whine about everything. Please just focus on your current job and stop trying to stay in the news everyday. Most of us want to forget about you.

Jojoski   February 23rd, 2009 1:01 pm ET

Sarah honey, you damaged yourself when you opened your mouth. You haven't the knowlegde of world affairs/events to be in the executive branch of the United States of America. You are a hockey mom. You understand the day to day trails of the everyday American. You have experience in government, abeit limited experience. However, I would guess that description fits at least a thousand other people across the 50 states. The main difference is they are smart enough to know they are NOT qualified. You live in some sort of fantasy la-la land where you BS your way into a job way above your pay scale. You might want to ask God for a little humility. You need some.

Donna   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

She's like a bad addiction, just HAVE to comment! I agree with Dutch, shooting ANYTHING from a helicopter is NOT sport hunting it's search and destroy. Someone needs to tell this whiner her best bet for 2010 is GO AWAY< BE QUIET!! Come back SMART! God if nothing else, think of what you are teaching your children! Whine long and hard, don't bother doing your homework to improve yourself!

John from San Diego   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Sara, Fame called. It wants the extra 15 minutes back.

Uncle Rico   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Good lord, give it a rest, Lady.

Brian H   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Golly Gee this is big news.

S. D.   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

You are by far.. the biggest joke ever !!!!! Shame on you... you shame women everywhere. Not sure how you ever got elected !! It's apparent that you love being in the spotlight.. even when you look like an absolute IDIOT & FOOL. I will never read another headline about you PALIN. You make me sick.

A woman in Florida

Obama - NOPE   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Gov. Palin will be in the political spotlight for many years to come, and in new political roles. Learn to like her.

Deborah   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

I am so tired of this whining woman! If she thought SNL was so horrible, why did she go on the da** show? Her arguments are absurd as are John Zeigler's. This is all a ploy so that when she runs again everyone will be afraid to ciritize her for fear of being seen as biased.....I hope she runs again (it was really great fun watching her make a total fool of herself) and unless she sounds intelligent and up on the issues, I hope that the media blasts her again.

Brandon In NC   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Her 15 minutes of fame go a stimulus! Give me a break!!

M. J. Simon   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Since her candidacy for the Vice Presidency began, Ms. Palin has demonstrated an unwavering sensitivity to anything story about her or her family or administration that she perceives to be less than flattering–even when she, herself is the origin of the story.

At first, I was ready to accept what she was doing as "push-back." Now, it increasingly appears than a deeper, darker psychology is presenting itself. When does correction verge into paranoia? When does pride become megalomania and delusion?

Recently, New York and Illinois have been the centers of spectacles about elective leaders who engaged in illegal behavior. I won't be surprised that Ms. Palin, Todd, and the rest of the "Alaska Barker Clan," don't find themselves under indictment in the near future.

Anonymous   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

Irregardless of what you nthink of Sarah Palin – the American media has become the laugh of the free world – completely non-objective, and liberal slanted. This last election was a complete joke, and the emdia continues to throw palm leaves in from of the modern day Julius Ceaser – amazing, considering he came in with very little experience and a razor thin resume. Absolutely ridiculous and shameful.

Matt   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

That's bull... all that winking, flirting, and so-called smarts caused her demise. She looked very stupid, and she expected the American people to fall for it.

gl, Pittsburgh   February 23rd, 2009 1:00 pm ET

I guest it is very hard of her and MCcain to believe they lost to a black man and now are trying to blame the media for their lost. She didn't not help with minority with all her racist remarks toward President Obama which help him win fare and square. Most people didn't vote for him becasue of his race – they voted for him becasue he presented chance and not fear bottom line. Sara Palin you lost fare and square. You are a very weak woman to still be crying over you lost. Most people hate sore losers exspeciallly a woman sore loser.

Artie Lange   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

Wahhhhh...... The News exposed that I'm an idiot!!!!....Wahhhhh

Tomas E   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

Get over yourself Sarah – you are so full of yourself or something else which I'm sure they won't let me say here. I'm really tired of your constant whining and complaining. You brought everything on yourself. The American public can see right through you a freshly cleaned piece of glass.

OMG!   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

Sarah, are you sure it wasn't because you are a MORON?????

Andy   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

You go, girl!!! You continue to be such a MAVERICK!!!! Keep doing your Mavericky things!!!!!!

Love,
Kaite Couric

el Rob O   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

Sarah is DEAD ON about this. CNN posts this because they know the wolves will come out in this blog to write more vial things about her, when she's done absolutely nothing to deserve the shots she keeps getting.

Congrats Sarah! You stand for values most bloggers here will never understand (they've been "dumbed down" too far). Keep up the fight!

Most of us LOVE YOU! Unfortunately, those who write on these blogs are filled with a lot of hate to begin with, so disregard the baseless, useless hate-filled comments about you here. You stand for many great things, keep it up!

GP   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

’We are going to seek and we are going to destroy this candidacy of Sarah Palin’s because of what it is that she represents...’

When a democrat plays the victim card (Hillary's famous "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" claim that we all know is true), the Reich Wing media pounces. Yet when a republican complains about media bias, which is nonstop, it gets a pass.

I don't think Palin is all that self aware. She inflicted all the damage onto herself. So much for the myth of the strong, rugged individual.

David in KC   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

I cant believe people are still talking about this awful woman.

Angie   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

you destoryed yourself because you are one stupid person. you can't complete a sentence, your volcabulary is that of a 10 year old, you know nothing about anything outside alaska. so pitbull you did yourself in. you should look in the mirror as much as you enjoy looking into a camera and you will see who you should blame. is anything ever your fault. if you didn't want to be criticized you should not have accepted old man mcsame's offer to run as his vp. that opens up a whole new can or worms. hey if you can't stand the heat shut the hell up and stay out of the kitchen. moron!!!!!!!

tx_gal   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

don't disappoint does she, she lives by the rule – 'there is no bad press, the only bad press is no press'

to her credit she seems to push every issue button

what she lacks in brains she makes up for in attractiveness

too bad that won't be the case next go around, better study hard, stay away from illegal drugs, shooting things from flying machines, better promote safe sex, don't talk about what books you've read or what you can see from your back window

take care of Alaskans, they need your help, you've done enough self promotion for three elections

oh, and PAY YOUR TAXES

Michael Fallai   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

Sarah Palin could not even answer simple questions like, "What magazines do you read?"

And that's the evil Liberal Media's fault, I guess. Maybe they should not be asking her 'gotcha' questions... ask her instead, 'What color is they sky in Alaska, you betcha?'

And they can give her the questions 3 weeks in advance so she has time to prepare.

John from SC   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

WAAAANNHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I WAN MY WOOBIE!!!

Leilani   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

It will be difficult for the media to keep her in the news for the next four years so that she can be a viable GOP candidite for president.

I have to give her credit for turning down the stimulus money. Her state doesn't need it. That was a good decision. Jindal on the other hand, needs his and Palin's share to get Louisiana going.

Dan   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

Sara herself said that God would make sure the best candidate for America would win the election. She should be oK with the outcome.

Kyle   February 23rd, 2009 12:59 pm ET

You lost, go away

Lynn   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Why am I still reading Palin stories almost four months after the Republicans lost the election? The media was after her? She's an idiot...it's not like they had to dig very deep. I think in another place, at another time, John McCain MIGHT have made a good President, but he really screwed the pooch when he chose Sarah Palin as a running mate. I still can't believe he made that choice and that Republicans were so quick to fall for her and support her. Does anyone really believe she would have made a good VP? I found her laughable, and now I just feel sorry for her. She won't give up, though her 15 minutes were up months ago....

HM   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Boo Hoo, I am an Obamakin and am mad mad mad at the racist NY post for representing our man as a chimp. What we did to Bush and Palin is not the same thing b/c as you all know or should know, our attaching racisim to any picture / article / speech we don't like trumps any argument. Not only that, we are right (left) and you are wrong (right).

allie   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Sarah- it seems that there are plenty of bloggers who are less than gracious and less than honest. I am referring to the seven bloggers above this post. I for one than ALL OF THE CANDIDATES that threw their hats in to this election. You amongst all of them were the most fun and the most refreshing.

karen-Phoenix   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

The women is NOT bright!!! She destroyed herself!!!!

Karen   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

I think that she did a fine job destroying her own chances with her own words. The job of the media is to shine a light on the facts and that's what they did. With only 2 1/2 months between her introduction and the elections, of course the media had a narrow focus on her, what did she expect? She was not ready for the task.

Wiz   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Yeah, that's the ticket! It wasn't Palin's fault, just the evil media! Maybe GW Bush will pick up on this too, it's all the media's fault! *They* make the brilliant leaders look like buffoons!

*snicker snicker*

globalgroove   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

That's truly laughable....the only thing that destroyed Sarah Palin is Sarah Palin.

Carlos Averhoff   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

It is "foreing to me the way some in the media think..." There in black and white are TWO of the many reasons we did not vote for Sarah...1. The many things that were FOREIGN to her and 2.The fact that she could not think (articulate) an intelligent responce. We already had GW for 8 years doing that, we certainly did not need Sarah to continue. My advise to Sarah, GO AWAY....this from a REPUBLICAN....Carlos Averhoff

Dem from AZ   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

I believe Palin was on self destruction during campain. doent anybody take responsibility?

I can see Russia from my house!   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Well well,

Sadly, the only person to destroy Sarah Palin was Sarah Palin herself. It was uncomfortable to watch this woman bumbling around. She could have politely said no to an office that she is obviously not qualified for.

Yes, some newspapers lean democratic, but that nothing to do with her pitiful appearance with Katie Couric.

Cathy Brandes   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

You can't be serious – with all the issues facing the US, including those facing Alaska, she stil refuses to accept responsibility for her own failures.
Lady, the only one who damaged Sarah Palin's chance of being vice president was Sarah Palin. Perhaps a little less of "paling aroung with terrorists" and a little more of a substantial message you may have been successful. You did this to yourself! Take responsibility and go away!

Who's Complaining   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

Seriously? Did the media doctor the footage of her horrible interviews with Couric? That was enough to doom her legitimacy. This "seek and destroy" claim is funny, if not sad. She was train wreck from the beginning. To her credit, she improved(s) over time but she needs to quit talking about the 2008 election and focus on 2012 if she plans to run. Stuff like this will not help her.

WELCOME TO THE OBAMA SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!   February 23rd, 2009 12:58 pm ET

THE OBAMANUTS WILL NEVER GET IT UNTIL THIS COUNTRY IS COMPLETELY HISTORY THEN THEY WILL JUST BLAME BUSH AGAIN!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!

IF they were out to destroy you, it was out of fear that having you as vice president would destroy this country. Folks, we dodged a bullet!!! Face it, chickadee, you were not, are not and probably never will be a "ready for prime time player."

Heather   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

When will this woman just go away? And why can't she take responsibility for anything rather than just blame the "liberal, elite media?" Good God, you guys lost the campaign. Move on already. You're not doing anything to make 2012 more likely for you. Even the republicans are getting sick of your blame shifting and pity partying.

Sarah Palin- you and Joe the Idiot need to go away to your own planet where you can pretend to be important.

Tina   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

Dear Sarah,

Nobody cares.

Regards,
America

Juan from L.A   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

Palin is just simply dumb! She is playing the victim card. Honestly here is what happened and I remember pointing it my wife during the RNC. She in her speech declared full out war against the media. She did and I don't know why she was that dumb. Anybody in politics knows that you can't do that. And thus the media retaliation afterwards adn throughout the campaign.

Maggie from Virginia   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

Please stop whining... It's not the media's fault that you weren't savvy enough to overcome the alleged bias.

Linda32   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

The "lady" does protest too much.

jonny   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

no way! the media was wayyy too nice to palin! she was given a free ride. she is totally incompetent, yet they let her continue as if she was a valid candidate!

JAZ   February 23rd, 2009 12:57 pm ET

How many people wanted to elect a woman that thinks the media is a branch of government. WOW! I can't wait to see how you roll this one out in 2012. MIND BLOWING!

“This is for the sake of our democracy that there is fairness in this other branch of government, if you will, called the media,”

Agnes   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

Palin is delusional. Her own blathering incompetence is what did her in. She is in deep denial.

BKrause   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

...does she mean that she is innocent of trying to destroy Obama's character? It's certainly troubling when your own deficient and illiterate character comes back to bite you, isn't it? You betcha...

Dameun   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

There was no search and destroy mission. Palin destroyed herself and she still is, acting like a spoiled 14 year old mean girl that lost her class presidency to the smart black kid.

John, Brooklyn, New York   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

This is the typical argument made by failing candidates in their final gasp of political viability....blame the media.

Jim   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

She did it to herself! She was idiotic in the Couric interviews and it certainly wasn't Katie's fault!

Sandy   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

CNN stop writting about this women she is history and not the good history! move on!! Paulin is a not worth reading about..

Pam   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

Put on your big girl panties and deal with it!

Shut up, Joe!   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

I sincerely hopes she runs in 2012 (if she doesn't stumble on scandal first). The Republicons need more humbling.

Michael Fallai   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

Dear Sarah:

Please go away. Now. And take your 'woe is me' pity party with you. Thank you.

mike   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

the media was biased towards the democratic candidates because they appeared to have a brain.

Peggy   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

PALIN, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

YOU LOVE THE PUBLICITY SO MUCH, THAT YOU JUST KEEP APPEARING, AND YAKING SO MUCH DUMB THINGS.

GO LOOK AFTER YOUR YOUNG SON AND GRANDSON AND BE QUIET FOR ONCE.

Dave G   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

I think the mainstream media is on a mission to destroy every political candidate. That's sort of their job. Sarah Palin just made it really easy. She practically did their job for them!

Kristyn   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

She was inept, that is why it was so easy for them to go after them. The media loves weakness...her weakness was her lack of intelligence.

RS   February 23rd, 2009 12:56 pm ET

WOW, amazing. LOL!

Cathy   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

Thats bull that the media set out to destroy her chances of becoming VP. She just can't face the fact that she was never qualified for the job. Being a hockey mom is not one of the qualifications needed to get this country back on the right track after the mess George Bush made of it. She needs to come to terms with that reality before going off half crazed attacking the media.

James, Phoenix AZ   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

Uh, no, Sarah.

Your mouth and lack of education were the reasons for your downfall.

Roger from CA   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!!

Steve (NH)   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

DULLARD.

Sharon Kitchen   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

If the media is so "foreign " to her........could she PLEASE stop using it.

Go away............................far...far.......away..................................................

Sniffit   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

This woman needs a big fat dose of political Haldol.

Keel Clemmens   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

Blame someone else for your own limitations...hmmmm? She was too dumb to be VP...

HoneyBee   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

This woman is like the Freaking Ever Ready Battery!

Verena   February 23rd, 2009 12:55 pm ET

Palin is a poor loser, that's all.

Oregonian   February 23rd, 2009 12:54 pm ET

You mean they told the truth too much?
I love how the "Cons" scream about how biased the media is the whole time they giggle over every negative story abd when a democrat farts.

Chris Gearns   February 23rd, 2009 12:54 pm ET

The big bad media picking on the Pit bull with lipstick....

Mike   February 23rd, 2009 12:54 pm ET

STOP WHINING!!!!!!

Frank   February 23rd, 2009 12:54 pm ET

Destroy campaign? Could it be that they saw something that was valid? Such as a candidate that was clearly not prepared in any way shape or form to be Vice President? Could that be? Or do you think it was an destroy campaign for no valid reason? It was very valid. They saw a candidate who was clearly unprepared for the position, very plain, simple and straghtforward.

shoegazer   February 23rd, 2009 12:54 pm ET

The media didn't have to set out to destroy you lady, you did a fine job of that all by yourself.I think she is starting to crack under pressure, the woman is becoming more and more delusional as time marches on.
Again,if this is the face of the GOP for the future, enjoy yourselves in the hinterlands.

Zeke   February 23rd, 2009 12:54 pm ET

"Media was on a search and destroy mission";
What do you mean WAS?!! The media hasn't stopped yet!

Matt in Iowa   February 23rd, 2009 12:53 pm ET

The truth hurts so much doesn't it Sarah? It's hard to look at yourself and realize that you failed so you do what the entire Republican party is doing right now, you blame it on the media.
It has more to do with the ignorance and unwillingness of your party to change with America, that is what will keep the Repubs losing elections. It seems as though people have finally started to realize what is good for corporations isn't necessarily good for them, thanks to the GOP for allowing my country to realize that :)
P.S. Rush Limbaugh is not as intelligent as you all seem to believe, and he is yet another reason why your party is failing miserably.

Jane (Minnesota)   February 23rd, 2009 12:53 pm ET

Oh, none of it is ever your fault, is it Governor! Amazing

Sniffit   February 23rd, 2009 12:53 pm ET

Riiiiiight...because her own self-destructive tendency of failing to answer questions, acting smug and self-righteous, and providing fluffy non-sensical talking-point answers to legitimate questions...well, that had nothing to do with it. Let alone the fact that the media is primiarly owned and driven by rich conservatives...oh no...it's still the "liberal media" to these goons if it gives anything close to a fair shake to a Dem or does anything close to its job with respect to the GOP. Meanwhile, Faux News is talking about civil war to oust Obama as if it's even remotely reasonable. GTFO Palina and Co. 2010 can't come soon enough.

Shirley in California   February 23rd, 2009 12:53 pm ET

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Obama supporters in the name of sanity quit commenting on this sick woman. She's NOT important. Never has been and never will be.

Thanks.

James   February 23rd, 2009 12:53 pm ET

Sore loser, she was treated fairly, her problem is she's dumb and blames everyone else for her loss.

Give me a break!   February 23rd, 2009 12:53 pm ET

It' foreign to me the way you think, Sarah!! Enough of you already! Why don't you tell us how you and the old fart would have solved the economic crisis? Oh, that's right...YOU HAVE NO CLUE!

gl, Pittsburgh   February 23rd, 2009 12:52 pm ET

She destroy herself by accepting the VP nom knowing she was not qualified for the job.

Mel   February 23rd, 2009 12:52 pm ET

Open appeal to the Governor...I'LL GIVE YOU A DOLLAR IF YOU SIT DOWN & SHUT UP!!! Seriously.

Free at Last   February 23rd, 2009 12:52 pm ET

She still doesn't get it....even if you accept her premise...the media wouldn't have been able to go after her if not for her inexperience, gaffes, untruths, arrogance and all around unftiness for the office.

I guess the easiest thing is to blame others for our own failings....

Anonymous   February 23rd, 2009 12:52 pm ET

Supporters of President Obama:

Please do not respond. Rise above. For God's sake.

Clueless Conservatives   February 23rd, 2009 12:52 pm ET

I agree. Rush Limbaugh should be fired!

Obama '09   February 23rd, 2009 12:51 pm ET

She just cant accept the fact that she lost fair and square and bow out gracefully huh? Pathetic Palin..that should be her new name.

Brian   February 23rd, 2009 12:51 pm ET

WHY ARE WE STILL DOING SARAH PALIN STORIES?! God almighty. Her team lost, months ago! Most of America already forgot who lost the Super Bowl....

Let's move on to something with a little more importance, if in fact there is anything.

Tisha   February 23rd, 2009 12:51 pm ET

"Boo-hoo-hoo, I am Sarah Palin, the media did it and John McCain's staff did it and the Obama team did it, and then the devil did it, they all conspired together to make me a weak, dumb, ignorant candidate."

Dutch/Hampton Roads, VA   February 23rd, 2009 12:50 pm ET

Search and destroy is what you do to the wolves in Alaska Shoot em up Sarah. Yuor 15 minutes of fame are up. Swim across the Bering Sea and don't come back.

Baze   February 23rd, 2009 12:50 pm ET

I want all white Americans that either think or thought that African Americans are baseless when they claim the media is out to get them to take close heed of Palin's incessant whining.

Anonymous   February 23rd, 2009 12:49 pm ET

I will reserve judgement until I see the documentary, but I find this a little sad at face value. Does she really think she did nothing that might have inspired criticism?

Old white lady in Birmingham, AL   February 23rd, 2009 12:49 pm ET

Shut up already! Take responsibility for you own failures.
