  2. Women for Obama!

Thank you, President Obama, for the awesome female representation in your cabinet!

Yes, they happen to also be very smart! Sorry Sarah Palin but it takes a little more than a "pitbull with lipstick" to make it in politics.....

Please notice how the media is managing this story.
The pictures in particular are dark and somber, and the look on Jindal's face is somber, never smiling.
In contrats, Obama's pictures were always set with a blue sky background shot from lower and a smiling Obama waving at some distant crowd. Frequently there were also a bank of flags waving in the background. Just Google Obama pictures and you'l easily see what I mean.
When uncomplimenatry pictures were shown of Obama, he claimed that it was not fair, and the media happily responded with only highly complimentary ones.
The media has already started to disparage Jiindal in anticipation he may challenge Obama in 2012.
Let Obama win on his own accord. To attempt to help him weakens him

This isn't good! A labor secretary who actually cares about working people instead of just big business! What will all of the CEOs do? Hire more lobbyists? Too bad all their businesses are going bankrupt and are begging for more bailouts... it undermines the flawless argument that we should have an unregulated private sector and a government that does absolutely nothing to help ordinary citizens. They can't even afford lobbyists anymore! I feel sorry for the people who make private jets, huge mansions, and all the luxury goods that the top 1% simply cannot live without. For 8 years we had a noble and brave president who staunchly defended the interests of the top 1%, who are the real engines of growth in our economy, since their incomes grew much faster than everyone else's over that period, and even before then. It was a sad day when George W. Bush had to relinquish the Presidency to a dangerous radical socialist who only wants to cut taxes for the bottom 95%. If that is not socialism, I don't know what is! Ann Coulter is right to praise Joe McCarthy as a great American hero, because there are Commies everywhere trying to "spread the wealth around"! I am sure glad we have such good citizens like Joe the Plumber to stand up to such wealth-spreading Marxist nonsense and defend the interests of the top 1%, even if they are not a part of that top 1%.

It is about time. The Republicans will do any thing to restrict the growth of unions, because the unions champion the cause of labor, and the Republicans champion the cause of capital.

Obama administration will go down as the most corrupt adminstration in the 21st century. Why should we pay out taxes? How is it that a President can get away with mortgage scandals different from that of CEOs abuse of office?

Finally, the "Grand Obstructionist Party" may be getting the message that they can't just say NO to everything! They have consistently obstructed President Obama's choices for Cabinet. Then, they complain they need more "details" from Timothy Geithner who has only been on the job for a couple of weeks. This recession began December 2007 & what the hell did the GOP do? They fudged the numbers indicating a recession was already underway hoping that the Recession would land on the lap of the new President by surprise.

To the "Grand Old/Obstructionist Party": Move over ... get out of the way!

We are in real trouble now. The unions have greatly contibuted to the economic mess that we are experiencing. Now, with President NObama and Ms. Solis as Labor Secretary who owe and support the unions big, watch out America.

I have known Hilda Solis for some 25 years, she served on the local Community College Board of Trustee's at the same time I served on the Elementary School Board. We campaigned for our seats on those board on the same platform – CHANGE. We were both sucessful in our elections an in bringing the changes necessary to our respective Boards of Education and to the students. We should all be proud that a person of such intellect, determination and charactar would be selected and confirmed for the job of Secretary of Labor. It is one more day that I am proud to be an American. Best wishes Hilda on your continued sucess. Robert Camerota

@ Jerry in Florida & JJ

"The Unions " are not the cause of automakers downfall. Healthcare costs, steel prices, underfunded pensions, AND poor quality control were the problem. They made lots of money on SUV and Truck sales. Those are the big 3's money makers. On average, net profit on them is between 10k and 15k per unit. So instead of modernizing plants, getting fuel effecient vehicles in the pipeline, and bargaining with the unions, They took all those profits and opened plants in Mexico, China, Canada, and everyplace other than the USA.

Bad management, bad investments in Volvo, Jag, Saab, Land Rover etc caused their woes.

Check your facts before commenting next time.
