You are what is wrong with this country. Stop living in your "Chosen One" dream world and start working a real life, like the rest of us. Better yet, why don't you go down to the Arizona border and bring your tea and cookies for all the illegals!

    To kayla,
I have paid the piper in my short 35 years, more then you will pay in a life time. Besides, it is simple to avoid it's called "Tax Deductions" no problem.

You know, I always wondered whatever happened to the actor that played Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

    Post all the comments CNN...

    @baffeld.
    304 million x $1 million = $304 TRILLION

The national debt is just under $11 trillion
That would increase the national debt to 27 times the current level.

Get a clue… better yet, go retake first grade math.

    Kayla,
So you believe in redistribution of wealth?
You believe that everyone should share equally?
That no one person should have more than anyone else?
This means that getting an education means nothing.
This means that working hard means nothing.
This means that you do not believe in capitalism.

Be careful what you wish for, because you are wishing for the complete and utter destruction of this nation and all it stands for.

Gary Locke is a good man and a good pick. And it's nice to see another Asian-American in the Cabinet.

You know what I would like, CNN, is that you just post my comments instead of choosing bits and pieces to put up under other names than mine! Surely mine is not the only original voice you have! :( If so, then give me credit.... you are acting like bozos!

  11. Think about it.

To 1/20/13 – I don't know if you noticed or not, but a lot of people lost their jobs over the last few months. With no job came no mortgage you do the math.

Given your propensity for incomplete sentences and lack of punctuation, I tend to doubt the "very educated" claim. Anyway, Obama has proven your virulent train of thought to be entirely irrelevant…and America agrees. Plenty of people work hard and it doesn't give them a margin of comfort. The average income of an American citizen has FALLEN over the past decade. Basically, to put it in terms you can understand: MONEY GO UP, NO COME DOWN. Moreover, conveniently ignoring that 4,000,000 jobs have been lost in the past year and failing to recognize that it has severe repercussions on our society (such as people not being able to pay their mortgage, not out of laziness, but because of unemployment), so you can play this game of pretending that everyone's suffering is their own fault, is disasterously insipid. Wake up and grow up…or STFU. Choose wisely.

You are one of the very educated, but you can't even spell
("greatful" ) correctly, or their (not "there" ) ? Perhaps
you should ask for a refund.

This should be a funny explanation, can't wait.

    Baffled...

By your math, that would cost the country $304 Trillion dollars. That's a bit more than any bailout.. actually.. that may be a little bit more than all the money in the world :)

Interesting as we approach a 50/50 split on those that pay income taxes and those that don't.

Which side of the fence do any of you plan on being on?

    Taxpayer or tax taker?

  21. Mrs. Wilson

So...are you saying that people who are not "wealthy" are lazy, uneducated and refuse to help themselves? I am a "very educated" teacher and I work very hard for my money (including summers – regardless of what most think) and I still find a way to help others, esp. children. I bet you are one lonely-pathetic person.

    1/20/13

Turns out I am one of the so called 'Wealthy" and very educated. You are apparently one of those looking for the hand out. I am sorry you decided to take the easy way in life NOT MY PROBLEM.

If you can explain to me, why those who make more money need to help those like you who are lazy, uneducated and refuse to help themselves?

This should be a funny explanation, cant wait.

It appears it is you who have the wrong date! 1/20/13 signifies when the next president take office. "Mr. Wealthy and Very Educated" is correct and you are not! Ouch!

    @ dems be dopes

We're all both dummy. Or do you pay your money directly to the fire department when you need them? police department? water and sewer commission? You gonna send back those SS checks when you retire? I guess we should privatize all that stuff too since the "free market" and the people in it are to be uniformly trusted to always behave in a non-greedy, humane and altruistic manner with the best interests of society at heart.

Sniffit, for once I agree with you... he missed it by 1 day.
1/21/2013 is the next inauguration date.

As for the rest of his statements, I tend to agree with them for the most part.
Wealth redistribution short of charity in the time of REAL need is unconstitutional.
Services like fire, police, military are a necessary part of a civil society and are to the benefit of all. Those services I will gladly hand my tax dollars over in support of.
Services that do not promote self reliance and independence of the individual should be discontinued.
Welfare is great idea in principle, but as it has been implemented across the country, it allows the lazy to become nothing more than a burden on society.

I have no problem helping a neighbor in a time of need if he's a hard working and productive member of society who has fallen on bad times.
For those that abuse the welfare system I have no charity or sympathy for.
