.
Just a few words on the what should be diclosed in the budget,
Everything but details about military spending, and funding concerning national security and international concerns,

Any other funding for the budget should be transparent, their are some things that we as citizens don"t need to know and also the world and that encludes even Cnn!
have a great news day

Kevin, there are lots of us like you out here–trouble is, there seems to be more of THEM. When WE quit making money–there will be no one to pay for THEM. Good luck, Obama supporters–have fun watching him run around on AirForce one while you are eating hotdogs or dog food.

Chad   February 26th, 2009 11:15 am ET

@Kevin

If your taxes are going up, you must be making over $250k. So you'd rather take home $0 than slightly less than you do now? I somehow doubt that, so spare us the histrionics.

Obambi   February 26th, 2009 11:11 am ET

Agree, Kevin–it is discouraging to work hard and pay your taxes only to have a tax and spend guy get voted in to take it all away and give it to people who do not care to work–and ther are more of them than there are of us–stay positive and hope we can get them out next 2 and 4 years. That is, if America is not ruined already. This man just will not stop spending–train to disaster...............

Go ahead and quit Kevin; there are alot of unemployed people who would gladly take your job...

REALIST   February 26th, 2009 11:06 am ET

To Kevin in Ohio
Have you ever seen a budget without a spending? You need to go back and check your Icon bush budget for his desasterous management of your money. This demonstrate how empty brain are those following the republican party this days? Your party stock in your head that spending is bad bla bla bla, claim fiscal responsibility while giving your money to rich greedy folks in tax break and loopholes and go behind you and wasted billions in Irak and vreate a HUGE mess.
I suggest you are making more than 250k and Fell free to quit your Job and oh by the way Obama just extended unemployement benefit and there is money in the stimuluss for the unemployed.
Wow to sum all this a little education will open your eyes and by the way the new stimulus has money for education and it's time to take advantage of that and stop listening to rush limbaugh or Hannity or you will damage more your brain.

Steve (the real one)   February 26th, 2009 11:04 am ET

I imagine the introduction went something like this:

US tax payers meet nightmare, nightmare meet the US taxpayers.

Trevor in Virginia   February 26th, 2009 11:03 am ET

@Kevin : Why don't you just kill yourself while you're at it? What is the point of having a brain if you're not going to use it?

Independant Vet   February 26th, 2009 11:02 am ET

FIRST I ALWAYS THOUGHT , A LEADER SETS A N IDEA WHAT OTHERS SHOULD DO IN TIME OF CRICES..

WHY DOES HE NOT STOP THE $5,760,000 , THAT MADAM PELOSI COST THE TAX PAYERS ANUALLY TO FLY BACK AN FORTH TO CALIF. @ ONE WAY IS $60,000 . SHE WILL NOT FLY IN A SMALLER PLANE. FOR IT CRAMPS HER LIFE STYLE.

I WOULD SAY, TAKE A GREYHOUND. OR START PUMPING A BIKE.

WHY HE WORSE THAN KID IN TOY R US. GOT TO HAVE EVERYTHING. OR SPEND SPEND ,

AN TO THINK OF IT , WE ARE IN A DOWN HILL FULL THROTTLE . AN NO EXPERIENCE AT THE CONTROLS.

van   February 26th, 2009 11:02 am ET

kevin in ohio, what is your problem? It is people like you with so much negativity that will keep this country from coming together. We all are scared and you are not the only one who has concerns about the future but sitting around day after day complaining with no solutions is going to get us nowhere. So grow up kevin and stop with the daily negativity. Do you actually think poverty and homelessness cares what political party your with? When this country was slipping into this crisis, I don't remember anyone being asked if they were dems or repubs. Get over the fact that who you voted for obviously did not win. I for one had to eat the fact that Bush ran this country for 8 years. I hated it but accepted it and I really wnated him to succeed not because I supported him but because we as Americans would suffer if he did not. Now it is your turn to decide are you an American first or republican (republicans do put country first right?).

LuckyLeo   February 26th, 2009 11:02 am ET

Kevin -

How selfishly un-American of you to say that...

All you repubs cry about a new direction saying that all these libs are lazy and want to live off the government...but then you make comments like this proving your hypocrisy and spite, with hopes to facilitate a negative outcome by (purposefully) adding strain to the system, just to make a point.

It makes me sad to know there are people like you out there.

Mari   February 26th, 2009 11:01 am ET

@ KEVIN IN OHIO....... SO you are going to QUIT your job to avoid paying higher taxes! DO YOU MAKE ............MORE.... THAN ....$250,000????? How idiotic!

Obama will allow that "Bush Tax Cuts" to EXPIRE in 2010! I DOUBT, very much that you are in the ............ top ONE PER CENT OF WAGE EARNERS!

My husband & I, will have our taxes raised, which is fine we live by the Gospel VALUE of "TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS ASKED."

IT VERY INTERESTING THAT YOU, "KEVIN IN OHIO" WERE NOT COMPLAINING WHILE BUSH WAS ...... DOUBLING .... OUR NATIONAL DEBT.

WHILE BUSH WAS CREATING A BUDGET ....DEFICIT OF ONE ....TRILLION!

WHILE BUSH WAS......HIDING........ TO ACTUAL COST OF THE IRAQ WAR!

markens   February 26th, 2009 10:59 am ET

you, people don't know what you want. the wealthy people for the last 8 years made billions of dollars due to taxes cuts. you, the poor, pay more than them to cover the budget. that's the reason why some of the rich people robbed us.

Jon   February 26th, 2009 10:59 am ET

You can always move and work outside the United States so you know how much more taxes the other countries will take away. Or not work and live in the woods like the unabomber.

Melissa   February 26th, 2009 10:54 am ET

Go Obama. This is whats been needed all along.

And to you selfish chickens, grow up. The world isn't just about YOU.

Independent_me   February 26th, 2009 10:53 am ET

Kevin – where were you when Bush was squandering the surplus?
You're an ignoramus like all of your other Repug clones!

Democrats balance budgets. Repugs destroy surpluses. Its a historical fact.

Matthew in Oregon   February 26th, 2009 10:51 am ET

You're quitting your job so that you don't have to pay taxes? Spoiled brat. Give something back if you love this country.

I hope the budget is as ambitious as his speech.

america first   February 26th, 2009 10:51 am ET

with the trillions of dollar debt that bush and the republicans left us with, someone had to take charge, we have a fantastic President who is for every American, it will take time, but America will prevail.

karen-Phoenix   February 26th, 2009 10:49 am ET

Taxes will increase ONLY if you make more, MORE than a quarter million dollars a year!!! AND they will be the same as they were in the 90's and people did very, very well!!! We will NEVER get our manufacturing base back if we do not have National Health Care to compeat with other countries that ALL do have health care!!!

Kim, Charlotte, NC   February 26th, 2009 10:48 am ET

Kevin in Ohio...Go ahead and quit your job, because there are thousands more to take your place!

In the mean time...find a shelter to volunteer your services!

Jay   February 26th, 2009 10:48 am ET

Kevin becarefyl of what you wish for because hey you may lose your job instead of quitting.

miriam   February 26th, 2009 10:46 am ET

Obama and his team are doing a good job. Keep it up OBAMA !! And keep more czars to watch over these top seats. They dont want czars because they want to play with the books and show they used up all the bailout money.

Deborah   February 26th, 2009 10:44 am ET

Have you mailed a Tea Bag to the White House yet?

It is all Patriots can do to express the Shock and Awe we are witnessing as our ounce Great Nation is issued its final Death null

miriam   February 26th, 2009 10:43 am ET

The rich are so selfish. What is wrong with socialism ? Why do they only want capitalism dont they see capitalism just makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.

Deborah Black   February 26th, 2009 10:43 am ET

How riduculus you sound Kevin. Unless you make over $250,000 per year, you will get a tax break. He is not raising taxes, he is just letting the Bush tax breaks for the rich, expire. I supponse you thought spending the trillion dollar budget surplus that President Clinton left President Bush; was spent appropriately by giving it all to the wealthy and to big business. The biggest redistribution of wealth that has ever occured in this country. Sure, all that money was used for creating jobs and trickled down to the rest of us, thats why we are in such great shape today. Get a life.

Daniel   February 26th, 2009 10:41 am ET

Kevin would quit a job that makes a quarter of a million just to avoid higher taxes. Must be nice to be rich everyone else below a quarter of a million is getting a tax cut. Kevin sounds like a smart guy to me he should run for congress to replace the Republican in his district. They need more smart people like him.

Nik   February 26th, 2009 10:41 am ET

I find it laughable to witness staunch conservative critics twist themselves in contortion as they attempt to make arguments (albeit aged old arguments) to counter Obama's agenda. The tax and spend rhetoric doesn't work, big government rhetoric doesn't carry much weight with the majority of the population. However, the funniest by far is witnessing them conjury an argument about the President's intention to spend a lot of money all the while cutting the deficit. Yes, our President can have it both ways...spend money and save money...just like walking and chewing gum. Many wanna be leaders can not multi-task and if a label can not be placed on it, then it should be done. That's why they are all on the sidelines watching President Obama play and win the big game.

karen-Phoenix   February 26th, 2009 10:38 am ET

Thank you President Obama!! You are putting the working American above special interest!!! Health Care is NUMBER ONE!! We get national health care and manufacturing will come back to this country and so will jobs, jobs and more jobs!!! GET US OFF FOREIGN OIL!!!
Boone Pickens Plan is great!!! Support it!!!

Terry in Texas   February 26th, 2009 10:37 am ET

Kevin in Ohio....You're and IDIOT!!

Concerned in MA   February 26th, 2009 10:37 am ET

Just like the people who bought homes they cannot afford and are now being foreclosed, the left "bought" this man his office. Unfortunately, it's going to be ALL of us who get forclosed when this man's bills come due.

JohnNC   February 26th, 2009 10:35 am ET

Obama promised, if elected, seniors making less than $50K would not have to pay taxes. Was that just a promise to get elected?

sam   February 26th, 2009 10:34 am ET

you are an idiot Kevin

Sam Sixpack   February 26th, 2009 10:34 am ET

All that talk about eliminating the pork and balancing the budget, yet the budget increases more than 20% and national debt soars another trillion dollars.

Liar, liar pants on fire!

Krista   February 26th, 2009 10:33 am ET

Yep, too bad it takes all this of money to fix W's screw ups!

Anonymous   February 26th, 2009 10:33 am ET

I'm with you Kevin. All I hear out of his mouth is spend, spend, spend, raise taxes, and then more spending. Who does he think is going to pay for all of this spending? Also, there are over 9,000 EARMARKS in his proposed budget! Who's watching over his spending? The spending machine of the democRATS!!! We're all screwed and the stupid people that voted for him don't even know it. The are like the rats and he's their pied piper!

LOL   February 26th, 2009 10:32 am ET

Good idea Kevin, you sure sound like some one who makes over 250k/yr. You must be Joe the plumbers partner. The only plumbers making over 250k.

Q   February 26th, 2009 10:30 am ET

I wonder if he is going to address all of those earmarks. I bet he will say there are no earmarks in this spending bill either...

More of the same...

Dawn   February 26th, 2009 10:30 am ET

To Kevin in Ohio; Do you make 250,000 dollars? That is who will be taxed more. We under the republicans have been taxed out the rear. Under Bush, they hid the cost of the war and a few others. Complain if you do not receive $13.00 a week more in your paycheck. I am not working nor can I find work. I am an eastern neighbor, Pennsylvania. Hershey is laying off about 6,000 workers, why? because they are moving South of the Boarder.

President Obama found over 2 trillion dollars of waste. Wow! if you have an elderly parent, would you place them into a nursing home? I would not, my father is 78 years old. Since one of the Bush midnight deregulation, he made the workers in Nursing homes workers, Federal workers, so if your elderly parent dies from abuse, you cannot sue or have an investigation. I pity those families.

Remember the old saying, God giveth and the Government taketh away!

Brad   February 26th, 2009 10:30 am ET

Kevin:

I think you should quit! I'm sure you are in the upper 1% of earners.

missouri for obama   February 26th, 2009 10:29 am ET

kevin, that just stupid

Michael in Florida   February 26th, 2009 10:28 am ET

You, Sir, are an idiot.

Hispanic in Dallas, TX   February 26th, 2009 10:27 am ET

Stop laying a blind eye to all those earmarks...all 8,000 plus earmarks...what happened to his campaign promises of no earmarks...no pork...well, now that he's in office, it's all a load of CRAP!

So we work...to give to those who don't want to work...we work to elect these fools who are just in the game for themselves not the needs of the people!

Obama will dig us into the deepest whole this country has ever seen in its history! God help us!

Alicia   February 26th, 2009 10:27 am ET

I am praying this will work. LOVE that the farm pork for farms making over $500,000 are not getting government bonus checks anymore. I am sure Senator Thune will have his panties in a bunch over this.

I am amazed that the Iraq war was never put in the budget in the past. That Bush administration was the emperor's new clothes and smoke with mirrors.

Now, here we go with the Rushbots and other Repub Senators who we now know blog on here. The puzzle is solved now that the Repubs are actually typing these hate filled posts.

khif   February 26th, 2009 10:27 am ET

Kevin your an idiot.

jm   February 26th, 2009 10:25 am ET

i'm sort of glad i have no children. at least i don't stay up late nights worrying how my kids will be burdened by decision made when they were still in diappers. the level of spending is getting really scary. this better work or we are all up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

James L.   February 26th, 2009 10:24 am ET

Kevin...................were you praying that pray during Bush's administration?

Henry Miller, Cary, NC   February 26th, 2009 10:23 am ET

To Kevin in Ohio, who said, "I, for one, plan on quitting my job to avoid the higher taxes…. what is the point of working if the government is just going to take it all away?"

Sounds good to me. Snoozing away my life in the social safety hammock would sure beat working, paying bills, and all that crap. I'm sure Obama will pay off the mortgages on my houses, and he's not going to let my kids starve, is he? And he'll make sure they'll get good college educations.

Hooray! The socialist workers' paradise is here at last!

Willa   February 26th, 2009 10:22 am ET

Kevin,
What do you do? There are plenty of folks in Ohio looking for work.

Obama Obama   February 26th, 2009 10:22 am ET

Its about time lobbyist and wallstreet start paying! Why do they get tax cuts?? Also interested in seeing who in the political arena fights for what cuts he made in the budget.. who is wanting all the pork and cuts for the wealthy!

LUV Canada   February 26th, 2009 10:22 am ET

It's beyound human comprehession that this great nation like to fight war, spend more on infrastruture but hate to pay tax.Ladies and gettlemen, you are all welcome to third world nation.

Matt in Chicago   February 26th, 2009 10:21 am ET

I'm also going to quit my job like Kevin. Sure I won't have an income anymore, but hey, you can't tax zero! I think this move will pay off in the long run.

Pete   February 26th, 2009 10:20 am ET

Kevin: Were you out of the country from 2001-2008?

Debbie   February 26th, 2009 10:19 am ET

I love that he is ending tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas!! LONG OVERDUE!!

Henry Miller, Cary, NC   February 26th, 2009 10:16 am ET

Yeah, a one-line proposal:

Spend, spend, spend!

Sniffit   February 26th, 2009 10:15 am ET

Excellent plan. Quit your job. Throw the baby out with the bathwater while you're at it.

Kevin in Ohio   February 26th, 2009 10:06 am ET

God help us all as this man spends his way to oblivion. I, for one, plan on quitting my job to avoid the higher taxes.... what is the point of working if the government is just going to take it all away?

Walt Benning   February 26th, 2009 10:04 am ET

How many millions are in the budget for his rock star visits all over the world? The man needs adulation, and that is expensive.
